If you look at old videos, and new ones, there is a huge difference in the way he talks and acts. I think this is to do with the fact that his father died and made a huge impact on his writing.

When we (me & my girlfriend)met the band backstage in Stockholm in 2005, J Mascis was the quiet one sitting in a corner on a couch quietly... The backstage bouncers told us to leave and that the band had already gone to the hotel, but we didn´t believe that, so we insisted going backstage. After a long conversasion with the bouncers Murph came out and said to the guard: "Let them come backstage, it´s OUR show, c´mon! So indeed, we got to meet them. A really nice guy, Murph! :)

jimbomckeckney is right about it being a reissue.Gibson did a very limited run of the CF-100 e´s in the mid 90´s of which this is one

I don't think so. Looks like something from the J series but it has a cutaway unlike the J45

It's a cf-100 for sure. Really strange guitar that didn't catch on at the time, because it has a sharp cutaway and a freakin' P-90 at the bottom of the neck. If it's vintage, it's in incredibly good condition- I'd lean towards it being a reissue. He coaxes some pretty Jazzmastery lead tones out of that guitar- but I think he'd probably do that with an elastic band and a shoebox...
