In the Northern Territoyr they are in very large numbers, you can go on guided hunts on some properties as large as 1 million acres hunting donkeys, camels, wild horses and feral cattle and pigs (all of which are not native to the environment and do damage to the eco system) While i would not personally hunt them (donkeys and horses) i think number control is a viable way to stop overpopulation as the only predator we have the dingo has been baited and shot

We managed to buy a cow with a heifer for 850 euro, but thats just because the man who was selling them, was closing his farm because of economical reasons and he had to get rid of all animals as fast as possible, thats why the price was so low.

@libed91 Wild animals. Definition of wild in your book is confusing. In my book a wild animal lives with no support from man. So a dog, goat, horse or a donkey can be both a pet or a wild animal. Same goes for deer, bears and pigs. Typical logic of a tree hugging faggot.

@tactfulcoyote Well they are arond 700-1200 euros. The price is determined by their weight. We managed to buy a cow with a heifer for 850 euro, but thats just because the man who was selling them, was closing his farm because of economical reasons and he had to get rid of all animals as fast as possible, thats why the price was so low.

@tactfulcoyote If you have just started a "small-mini" farm i advise you to buy some sheep and goats first. Cows are quite large animals and demand a lot of attention and devotion so it's pretty hard to take care of them.

when i was a kid i knew an elderly guy from mexico that said they used to hunt donkeys when he was a kid and said they were pretty good sources of meat back then. just like any other animal, if they get over populated the govt is going to try to control them. long before we had grocery stores humans were the natural predators but now fewer and fewer humans live off the land so people don't understand that wild animals have few population controls.

Actually in the UK wild horses are culled or rounded up and sold to horse meat butchers in France all the time. I wonder where these dipshits who come on hunting videos and spout this infantile crap think their food comes from? @sarge958, whether or not these killings are "legal" (poaching laws change often), there's no morality in posting GRIM DEATH SCENES on YouTube. That's why so many people are sick of this genre. Their disgust shouldn't need to be explained to a moral person.
In this clip, the camera jerks away so we don't see too much gore, but that's not the norm.
Imagine a little kid watching a friendly donkey getting snuffed, legal or not. You think that would brighten their day or give them nightmares?
