It's made even better as I found an old interview last week (2005-ish) with the two actors together, talking about this period (mostly). When asked if they would have liked to see their characters go in certain directions that never happened, Alexis said he deeply regretted that Giles & Wesley never got around to having sex together.
Most likely just "fan service" but it's great that they acknowledge the twisted fantasies of some of us.

I haven't thrown it away - I'm far too much of a squirrel - so when I find it again & have the time I'll have to copy-type it in. Then I can send it to whoever.

Trivia: in 1993 they were in a play together in which they played gay men, with John Barrowman (!), who said, fairly recently, that Alexis Denisof was his best ever stage or screen kisser. The 2 of them had one scene naked. If only someone had filmed that.

I was born in time, and here, but lived in another country then.
BTW this was the first time Scott Gill saw his future 'husband'. He was brought along by a mutual friend and then went backstage to meet JB but they each thought the other was dating the mutual friend; took nearly a year before they got together.
The story's also on JB's site: the civil ceremony (& in his book).
I liked it very much. Giles and Wes are both very tasty and this compilation underlined what good actors played them. When you see the clips altogether like this, you can see that they had worked together before and were very comfortable with each other.
