  • according to your statement all pianist are not actually playing the piano!

they press the keys and sound comes out.

    your statement is incorrect

  • WOW THIS IS AMAZING

  • they are 3-6 year olds.

probably cymbal player are 3-4year olds.

  • Take the A-train!

  • who make the mini drums????omg it must be damn light

  • they're better than most adults

  • You will not find any average 5 year old in step like this. This was very exciting to watch. If they plan to be in a adult marching band....adults.... watch out.....you are about to get ran off the field. This is what it's about. If they keep this up.... they will have a very easy life... with amazing skills to have. It's never too young to learn something new...or too old for that matter too. I hope someday.......

  • I guess you can teach anyone anything at any age if they practice it enough. In Japan, they have a Pre-K marching band. In the US, we teach our kids to eat high fructose corn syrup and get fat.

    Nice work, Do-Re-Mi-PreK!

  • WOW!!!

  • dang do you see there form it is dead on

  • When you watch this, remember it has nothing to the do with the fact they're Japanese. It has do with the fact that they WANT to win and are willing to suffer for it.

  • Or that they are forced to practice non stop? And punished for not doing so?

  • I agree! I'm tired of hearing from (especially USA) kids that "Asian kids are smarter than us..." It's not SMARTS...it's dedication and support from the culture. They don't coddle lazy kids, and they don't accept personality for a passing grade. It's all about achieving.

  • man Japanese kids are fricken smart.......they will someday rule the entire world..............lol

  • no they wont b/c there are no more japanese kids... they arent having babies anymore in japan !

  • our teacher made us watch this in band class....they are really good.

    better then my class!!!!

and im in the 11th grade. lol

  • thats pretty bad...

  • its sad cuz out fuckin drumline instructor thinks that we cant even do this. so our whole show is the gayest thing ever its like 8th notes and buzz rolls. i mean wtf

  • That's exciting...

  • They're pre-kindergarten...

  • i think you lick cats for a living

  • wow

  • Wow, this makes me feel pretty lame.

  • Asians are like normal age +5

  • is there anything they cant do?

  • their uniforms are cooler than ours -_-

  • yea thats cool and all, but can those kids do Quantum physics? I THINK N-huh? god dammit. I wonder if they like it. Or if they can comprehend what the hell they are even doing.

  • the girl and that sax! Man, I couldn't even play my alto that well in high school marching band! Amazing!

  • Its a "midi" sax, so its electronic. All she has to do is press keys and blow.

  • Oh my god, they're almost better than our Freshmen this year..And the ones prior, and before that.

"m gonna go kill myself now!

    *figuratively speaking*

  • Umm are that me or are they good?

  • You've got to be kidding me...... That's awesome!!!

  • amazing! =D

  • crazy japanese thts all i gotta say but these kids r really good. i feel bad for them though :/

  • that is so utterly creepy and astonishing at the same time-great job btw

  • wo thats really impressive i'm in marching band on the drumline and i doubt not many if any of us could accomplish that at that age

  • cool but kinda creepy if you ask me

  • cute marching band

    i love you

  • Are you guys sure that these are real kids & not CYBORGS? i mean Japan, right? hehehehe! U kids are awesome! Keep it up! U rock!

  • Man, they're actually marching in step and using some semblance of technique. That's awesome! There are high school bands around this area that can't even accomplish that.

  • How in the world did they get the kids to cooperate?

  • By beating the kids if they don't do it right!!

  • to Clorow lol

  • that was cute

  • Could that sax thing be "DegitalHorn?"

I've never actually seen it, but I think it was that size accordingt to descriptions..

  • i oso wana c a degital horn..haha..

  • Are you serious?!! ELEMENTARY!! That is AMAZING!! lol..

  • omg that was incredible!

i wish schools in the US had the guts to try stuff like that.

  • ommgggg!!!

    that is soooo cute!!!!!

  • Oh my goodness I LOVE IT! I wish i had been given an opportunity like this when i was young..it could have jumpstarted my skillz!

  • omg i love the little tenors! they're like 1/3the size of real ones! =]

  • this scares me. i mean, its great they're learning music from a young age, but this is insane! what happened to having fun as a child? sometimes im scared at what other cultures are doing to children.

  • Music is fun. There's a reason why this age group is competing. They wouldn't be doing it if the kids weren't willing.

  • I teach Bilingual Prek in the US and highly doubt my students would b able to pull this off....shoot...they dont even know how to clap in syncrony...lol

  • I wish I had grown up Japan and had an opporotunity to be in Marching Band from this age.

  • hahaha love the drumline

  • well in japan they aren't forced to let everyone participate in everything. thus, they have really good programs. in america, we let everyone do everything so we suck shit at everything.

  • men these kids will make the cavaliers look like nothing na just kidding good video.

  • its a mini japanese winter percussion!!!!so cool!!!!! haha!!! its sooooo awesome!!

  • I saw them at a show here in Okinawa when I saw Nishihara and Kakazu. They were better than this show. I was totally blown away and was sad that I didn't tape them like I taped the Elementary school Ishigaki. I hope to see them live again. When I do, I will be sure to tape them and post it. Cause they are truely incredible (or at least they were when I saw them live).

  • WOW i like the keybord and the minidrums LOL omg halarious but amazing

  • youtube has taught me that no matter how good I am at something, there is always an asian 7 year old who is better at it than I am.

  • Hahaha, that's funny.

  • O.o!!! just WOW... this is why japan marching bands are soo great! they start them soo young

  • wow!!!!!!!!!!

  • yea... um i teach pre-k and wow. i cant even expect my kids to all sing the words to itsy bitsy spider togeter, let alone play and march

  • lol, the mini drums are awesome, i love this group of kids!

  • Just goes to show that kids are capable of anything as long as they're not told they aren't capable of it.

  • thats insane...im in high school and half our band could never keep form control like this! I WANNA BE IN THAT BAND!

  • Tim Lautzenheiser is my uncle :]

  • Love it. I've shown this video to everyone I know, and they're always impressed.

Is there any more information out there? I could only find one website for Doremi Garden Preschool but, charming as it is, it doesn't specifically a marching group. Are there other preschool bands like this?

  • dude, thats crazy!!

  • If you read what it says, it says shes not playing an actual sax, not that shes not actually playing sax.

This is sad. They're better at dressing forms than our marching band XD

  • AW!!! HOW CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That is simply amazing. Clean feet, solid forms and readable notes... These kids do put a lot of America's/WGI's high school lines to shame. Simply amazing

  • i shouldnt be that amazed.

kids are more entusiast and less sttuburns than teenagers.

Its a attitude related to age, adn good disposition issue, not an region/country one.

  • That is a very good point. It is definately true that younger kids have a better ability to learn more quickly. I was just commenting that they have a lot of older kids with more expirience beat in some areas. But, I am still amazed at the fact that children of that age would be able to be diciplined enough to accomplish such a feat. Either way, I think that we can both agree that they play very well, regardless of their ages.

  • I definitely would not go that far.

  • that is so awesome

  • The sax is Yamaha's latest version of the old WIND JAMMER from the late 1980's. It uses saxophone fingerings and produces whatever sound the module is set to that it plugs into.

  • LOL

    that's neat.

  • .......wow.......

  • OMG, those kids own everyone here at pope

  • lol, i so agree

  • Friggin' incredible! Those kids make a lot of our high school drumlines look pretty wimpy.

  • I think this is one of the most amazing things I have ever seen. I saw it at a Tim Lautzenheiser workshop and couldn't believe it!!!
