I'm about 95% sure that this was lip synched. Not that I dislike it (I favourited this one and everything), but I'd have liked to hear Lia sing this one live. Her anime OPs are the best. Reflectia is my favourite overall. :)

@kaname96kuran Hm... I'll watch it again to be sure (can't right now, in public and no headphones), but when I watched it before I was pretty convinced.

I was comparing it to the album version specifically. If the pitches are exactly the same, and if the slight variations that give a song personality are identical, then you can usually be pretty sure that it was album-tracked. That's what I saw when I watched.

However, you might be right and I will watch it again later this afternoon.

@kaname96kuran So I did watch it again. It's clear that there are parts that aren't the album track, however I still think some of it was lip synched directly from the album. Some parts of it were simply too perfect, and too identical to the album track to have been sung live.

@MeanEyedCats maybe she's just really good that she can sing live? lol cuz i dont think they use auto-tune for japanese singers..lol unlike SOME american singers who uses auto-tune because they cant really sing.. xD

@kaname96kuran Lol! Maybe you're onto something.

It may or may not have been autotuned; I don't know enough about the Japanese music industry to make a good guess, though I have certainly heard it in other songs.

Autotuned or not though, I do still think that certain parts of the song, maybe not all of it, were pre-recorded. The slight variances that you expect in a live show are present in some parts of the song, but not all. I think certain parts of the songs were tracked for consistency.

@MeanEyedCats Oh of course! But you see, we then have to doubt your hearing and your critical thinking, both of which are very important in this case. Anyway, it doesn't matter, I was just annoyed to read the following: «it's just too perfect to have been sung live»; you are saying Lia is not competent enough to pull this off? FYI I've heard many singers sing their songs live and sounding exactly like the album truck, if not better!

I watch a LOT of anime. However, I am terrible with names. When I heard this OP, there was a note that caught my attention. In this video, it takes place between 2:54 and 2:57. The second I heard it, it made me go through my collection until I found songs that matched. On a side note, since she speaks fluent English, the song "Ana" in CLANNAD must have killed her to sing since it made no sense, lyric wise.

@fuyao223 Musically, it sounds great. It would have had more of an impact if the lyrics made sense. I think they should redo the song with lyrics that make sense.
