Two years ago this morning my mom passed away...

I have little recollection of the first year, as I was mostly numb.

This second year without her has been particularly difficult

and I find that I miss her more and more each and every day.

My first Mother's Day without her...

more difficult than I could ever have imagined.

You are in my thoughts. My own mother passed away September 15 (from lung cancer) so I wish you all the best. I'll share some words of wisdom that my aunt said at my father's funeral last year: All the good memories we have of our loved ones are like stars in the sky, and it's when the sky is at its darkest that the stars shine the brightest.
