How many Americans have read the Patriot Act?? Polling the American people on whether or not the Patriot Act is a good thing is just a ludicrous notion.
There is no excuse for this Bill to still exist. The country ran for more than 200 years without it. But control is the name of the game now. People have become lazy. I think the founding fathers would be demanding another revolution right about now.
America is turning into a police state...home of the free my ass. The terrorist won in the end we get pat downs like criminals when flying... ans more is to come... old and the mentaly ill will be on the streets homeless and our unions are being abolished so that will = worse employee treatments and benifits and less pay for more work. For them, the best way to fight terrorism is with terror.

So Jack Reed, Sheldon Whitehouse, and Jim Langevin are getting an email and a call chastising them for their vote to continue this rights annihilation.

There would be 0 corporate welfare in a free market and the corporations would have 0 protectionist laws from politicians against competition in a free market. Competition is a sin to the corporations. Corps use the government as a tool to empower themselves by limiting the choices that consumers have in the marketplace and take stolen taxpayer funds, giving themselves unfair advantage.

In a free market, there's no anti-trust, no worker's rights and protections, no accountability... just as corps use the government to gain a monopoly, they can just as easily form an oligopoly with one another. The answer is not more or less government, it's the vigilance of everyday people who expect a high standard of ethics from their elites.

Yet, when a poll shows that a majority are in favor of protecting entitlement programs like Social Security, the government refuses to go in that direction.
