@skjoyner - It is a river boat, first and foremost, and no-one will tell you otherwise. However, I have taken it just about everywhere it can go without a problem. The thing is, like anything a little different or new, it takes a little adjustment. At first the wind frustrated me, but after I got used to how the Coosa handles I learned to fish very effectively in windy conditions. It does glide well and my girlfriend has no problems paddling hers.
I heard on fishing forums there are better yaks for windy lakes or ocean fishing and the Coosa was more suited for the river. Do you agree or does this yak handle okay in the wind? I want one but am still undecided on this yak, prowler or a tarpon. Does it have very good glide? Thanks for info.
@xMachOne I would like to keep the name of this river undisclosed from public view, as it is a small body of water. However, shoot me a PM and I can fill you in a little more.
