I think you were leaving it too long once you stamped it to put it on the nail (I guess so we could see), if you do it quicker the image transfers fine x would like to see some more designs x
I find the difference in whether the design transfers easily or not is how curvy your nails are. If i do nails that are flatter, the design lays down perfectly. On curvy, arched nails, it doesn't lay down as well. Especially on full nail designs.

How do you deal with doing the thumb nail? Mine is too large for a whole nail design... So there are gaps and it really REALLY bugs me :(. Do you have a suggestion?

i bought it and im dissapointed... i work as quickly as possible yet the stamper doesnt pick up the image. I have tried atleast 20 different angles and techniques but nothing seems to work ... Any suggestions?
@juicycoprussia I've seen some ppl say that they gave their stamper a slight buffing, maybe that'll help? it might also be the colour, I find I can't do anything with my dark green special polish because it doesn't pick up well and when I do get it on the stamper it then does not transfer to my nail.
@juicycoprussia Try buffing the stamper with a nail file before using it. It helped me tremendously. Until I buffed the stamper the entire image would not pick up. Hope that helps :)

Hi Brroke, I just go tmy Konad stamping kit, I do not know what I am doing wrong! I got the special polish and used it on the stencil plate, first the special polish does not dry as fast as you say, and then the pattern won't transfer on the stamper! What am I doing wrong?? :(
@notyourgrannyscloset this is what i did, i forgot to take off the plastic covering on the metal discs *holds head in shame*, so when i tried to transfer it all i got was a blob of paint lol so i took off the plastic now im happy as larry (: hoope this helps

@notyourgrannyscloset do you mean you took off the plastic case it came in or like the plastic that is stuck on it, icouldn't actually see any on there at first it looks like cling film, and if you scratch the mrtal around one of the paterns and it dents inwards you know there is some on there, this is all i can think of to be honest. im sorry and the polish should still be wet, which is why you have to do it quickly so that it doesnt dry (:

Hello, I bought my Konad kit before the summer started and loved using it. I stopped using for a few week and the last two time I tried using it, the stamper just hasn't been the same. It no longer picks up the entire image or even close. Could the stamper possible be dried out? I haven't had it that long. Has anyone had this issue or know what I can do? @litladybug702 I tried but I don't think there is a plastic covering on mine. I bought mine in a kit.. I don't know if that makes a difference as to whether or not there is a covering. Thanks though!!! :)
in the second video can you please explain how to clean the konad plates especially when you've used a smaller design that seems to be my biggest issue- if the plate isnt perfectly clean it wont pick up or it will only pick up half the design -really frustrating thanks :)

@maynails sorry to junmp in on this but i wanted to say: it reeeally depends which topcoat you use. some are more likely to smudge. Poshe, Seche vite and the Konad top coats are silicone based and i find they don't smudge designs as much as a thin topcoat like OPI or Sally Hanson or others. just my experience.
The black special polish is the only one that dries quickly but it's not suppose to. Also after you put the special polish on your nails run them through ice cold water for about 30 seconds and then put a clear top coat over it. It won't smudge.

I meant xantham gum added to regular nail polisha little at a time to create the thickness that you want and will give you the consistancy of konad nail polish and the image will abhere to the stamper better, so cheaper nail polish is OKAY!

I've tried regular polishes for stamping, most of them work well, but only on a light base color. If you put them on a darker color they will look very light and it won't look as nice as with the special polishes.
my zebra print wont ever work!! and i cant get the stamps to pick up the designs all the time! i find konad frustrating! i have all the plates and i have special polishes and the stamp and scraper!! arrrgg
Other brand polish works well beside the polish they want you to use. Just apply one coat to the stamp and dip the polish again and put another coat on the plate. I hate that I bought the konad polish now that I know I can do what I have been doing.
I really want the Konad thing, except I hate doing my nails. I refuse to not have them done, but I hate doing them, and I know that if I bought the Konad, it'd just sit around being useless.

I used Poshé and it works great, even helps your nails to dry faster. Apply only one layer. You can re-touch if needed to recover the brightness

Other brand polish works well beside the polish they want you to use. Just apply one coat to the stamp and dip the polish again and put another coat on the plate. I hate that I bought the konad polish now that I know I can do what I have been doing.

I really want the Konad thing, except I hate doing my nails. I refuse to not have them done, but I hate doing them, and I know that if I bought the Konad, it'd just sit around being useless.

ilovesunnydaysx: I have Konad stamps.....you can clean it with regular nail polish remover. It works just fine.
