I think that deals that ends up without benefit towards his goal, gain of the persons soul or worse he can decline if he wants to. That's why one can't kill him through wishes. Evil never dies is just a red herring. That's what I would choose for the background of he plot. If it's plausible to fool him is another matter. I think it would almost be impossible with only a wish. Besides he chooses the outcome of the wish before he cause it.

lol damn :D just a point of interest here, im a mannequin collector and in 2002 i managed to locate were this mannequin was and purchase it, for 5 years it was at a hollywood auction house in los angeles and i payed if you can believe this $1600.00 for the item. the mannequin is very lifelike and has glass eyes and came with a stand for displaying her, right now she is on display in my dining room with 10 other mannequins from various manufacturer's i have collected over the last ten years.
