  • Meh. The other trailers were much better.

  • lol good dnb song XD im wondering what it is

  • the best NGE doujin ever. i love studio kimigabuchi's works: Code Eros cracked me up like hell, Hi-Energy series also not that bad

  • Volume 6 shows the after event. Asuka isn't sure how she now feel about Shinji and opt to go back to Germany. Shinji shows up at the airport after visiting Gendo's grave, but Asuka left anyway.

Months after getting back to Germany, Asuka discover her diary during volume 1 to 3. Realizing how deeply in love she was, she prepare to go find Shinji. Before she can leaves, Shinji shows up in her door step and proposed to her again. In the end, the story ends with Asuka reciting she vows in volume 1.

  • More Spoiler:

Volume 4: Volume shows the events from volume 1 to 3 from True-Asuka's perspective.

Volume 5: Shows the re-act of the third impact. True-Asuka returns to the battlefield to aid Shinji, who was overwhelmed by the mass-produced Evas. In the end, a time line split occurs, where Shinji in the end choose to return with True-Asuka to fulfill his promise to protect her forever. This caused the re-take time line is now the primary timeline, but both Shinji and Asuka lost their memory.

  • I have a different interpretation of volume 5: What occurs in the end is not a time line split, but some sort of "dream" the "true" Asuka (i don't like her naming that because there isn't a true asuka; from now on i'll call her 3I-Asuka (3rd Impact)) made Shinji leave to make him happy. When he realizes it, he chooses to return with 3I-Asuka for the reason you said.

  • This caused both of them to return to the EoE reality and the other timeline just goes on with Asuka without memories (but she can restore them) and a Shinji that is not the 3I one, but the one back after the 14th angel attack (when Re-take 01 begins).

  • *made Shinji LIVE (sorry, my mistake)

  • More Spoiler:

Volume 3: Shinji is crushed due to Asuka's 'death'. After killing the supposed 17th angel, Shinji learned that he is now the final angel. Asuka is revealed to be alive, but lost all her memory from the strange AT field. The volume ends as Shinji decides to fight on despite true-Asuka's plea.

  • There are total 6 volume of the re-take series. It tells the tale of Shinji and Asuka after the third impact:

    Basic Spoiler:

Volume 1: A basic re-do of the events that leads up to the 14th angel. It tells just how Shinji and Asuka become involved as a couple.

Volume 2: Shinji fights on. Asuka is eventually forced to give up piloting due to her becoming pregnant. Shinji and Asuka planned to marry, but the arrival of 16th angel forced Asuka to self-destruction in order to protect Shinji.

  • hey where do yu guys read volume 3-5 cause i can't find it =/

  • fakku. net

  • great doujin(a little bit adult content...lol) re-take keeps messing with my mind tho...happy....sad....happy....sad...happy....sad...the story keeps doing that( i want a happy ending...lol)

  • Well actually if you see all Volume 0-4 and after.....

"Spoiler".... it actually is a happy endng

  • i know...lol

  • Isn't "volume 0" actually the 4th one, chronologically? It's a prequel to 1-3, but it should be read after the first 3...

  • Volume 0 doesnt have anything to do with the rest, its not important at all.

The last one is 'Re-Take After'.

  • Well it's still part of the storyline...

  • Yeah, but all it is a volume showing bits from the other volumes and putting into a narrative format.

    The real thing is 1-After.

  • Volume 0 was the pilot for the series

  • hows the name of this music track?

  • do a serch for eva retake ost

    the song is called retake

  • Best doujin ever, i hope they make an anime out of this comic.

  • Agreed. Seriously, it's a cut above.

  • awesome
