Yay! Always nice to see someone my own age who is also interested in this sort of thing. I'm planning on buying a drop spindle some time very soon. This video was a nice bit of encouragement for me. :]
thank you - nice to see someone do it that I could actually see what you were doing. Of course as someone else said one needs no instruction how to argue with one's mom, LOL.
hee - there's not much you can say to "they'll come up when they come up and not earlier." *g* That's a nice chunky spindle, too - I like it! And pretty pretty yarn you're making.
I love this. I am 100% certain that women have been spinning while arguing with Mom since spinning was invented 20,000 years ago. :) Way to carry on the tradition!
Yes thanks. (Not that I need help knowing how to argue with my own mother! but I needed help in knowing HOW to start off with the drop spindle, and keep it going!) LOL...
I am just learning too, and your video is helping - thanks for posting!

Lol, I enjoyed this, I like that you don't use a leader actually. You make it look so easy! Kudos for pretty much silencing your mother. I laughed xD

Very cool! A weird way to start (wrapping the roving around the hook) but it's nice to see younger people spinning. ^_^

Why is that weird? No one has ever given me a good reason why you need a leader on a spindle.
