  • su bombo esta lleno de calzoncillos

  • was that a gravity blast i herd :o?

  • You are a beast man !

  • thanx dude im gonna try this for sure

  • HOLY SHIT

  • once u get ur ankles stronger, do u play slower double bass with ur ankles or with legs?

  • Necrophagist is the worst name ever. It means habitually eating dead people.

  • This amazing!!!

  • i figured out how to use my ankles a month ago and now i'm cruising at 200bpms without even trying :)

  • Hey mate! Iam trying double bass and i can get up to your speed too... but the problem is that i cant start the speed when i want it to... it just happens sometimes... and most of the time i hit both pedals at the same time... only if i really concentrate it sometimes happens that both pedals go like RLRLRLRLRLR .... i guess it's all about practise.... i also just use my reflex in the foot... i don't really try to controll the feet... i gues Iam doing it wrong : / can you controll every kick

  • You sir are INCORRECT on the notion that it is all STRICTLY in the Ankles... Proper and GOOD sounding double bass is using your legs AND your Ankles for POWER!!! you wouldnt be able to hear the bass if you were playing with a full band... that is why you integrate the LEGS for more power... ankles are basically used as a ball and socket contraption for tranfering power. :D

  • spring tension? looks really tight :O

  • I usually use heel-up techniques hahaha, i'm gonna try this out though, looks a lot better and obviously helps your speed

    awesome video

  • i like your circas lol

    cool vid

  • its swivel at some points and flatfoot at others. still a really good video. top notch :)

  • hey i have been focusing on my double bass for over a year now. and my teacher said to twitch as fast as you can to strengthen your ankles and then to play 8th notes in each foot, then combining them together for double bass. At this stage if i warm my left foot up (twitching) for a minute i can go pretty damn fast. But i have noticed that my legs feel tense, but my main concern is that i find it hard to play (100BPM) basic double kick patterns. How can i strengthen and gain control like you do?

  • I have an old ass drum kit, do i still use this same technique with the old foot pedal?

  • Sick dude very sick!!

  • ya dude im the same way i am really fast on my left

  • yea i use the balls of my feet too. i can do about 7 or 8 per second on each foot

  • Eliminators <3

  • actually it's the upper part of my chin that's hurting, am i doing it right?

  • dude this is the most usefull double bass video i've seen so far. everbody is talking about what kind of pedals, heel up, swivel, spring tension, but that never helped me out. i just can't get much faster then 120bpm. i started to practice this rightaway, it feels weird in the beginning cause i have not so much power, but i comes with time i quess

  • why is Yayo Guitierrez on suggestions ??

  • 6:07 ANGEL OF DEATH!

  • Hell ya man this is sum what like George Kollias's technique....im 14 and i use this technique and i turns out very helpful

  • the swivel lacks power for sure.. but it will for sure increase your stamina

  • may i know the spring tension

  • ur awesome

  • Looks like George Kollias` technique ;)

  • I can use my ankles easily like that but doing it with both legs like RLRL is impossible, my legs go at the same time and it's no good. I learned to use the ankle in few weeks but now I haven't made any progress in one year. Did you have problems with that(the RLRL thing) also?

  • Nice dude, I like your style.

  • Amazing Footwork

  • damn your fast! and thanks alot for the video, it doesent suck unlike 95% of foot technique videos on youtube.

  • I can go as fast as you using my whole leg, I just can't get that damn ankle swivel technique down. I have seemed to reach my max speed, I use 10 pound ankle weights and everything and no faster.

    Sounds good man.

  • We are Bewized

We are an underground band from Greece

    Check us if you willl

    Thank you!!

  • what setup do u use for the pedal?

  • Dude.. this video is EXACTLY what i was looking for.. same pedals. This was very well explained and very good quality.. nice work man thank you..

  • imagine getting a round house kick from that

  • oh never mind didnt watch the whole thing

  • you seem to be twisting your ankle... uhhh is there a reason for that or is just a habit?

  • Thanks... I will try this swivel style @ my next practice. only have single kick.going to try anyway..looks fast. Peace

  • Is pedal tension something I should be worried about?

  • this is the same technique that George Kollias uses right?

  • I have a question for you bass membrane as much pulled or allowed? I ask about bouncing pedal

  • GROWLERS!

  • aw, does swivel technique really cause long term damage to the ankles? i use that technique also T.T

  • I can do that vibrating thing with one foot but if I do it with 2 they go at the same time and it's basicly just 1 foot. I have tried and tried but I just can't make it go RLRLRL for over 2 secs or so. Does anyone no how to solve this, practice drives me nuts but it's the only way right? And how should I keep my spings? Thanks for any answers.

  • LOL your bass drum seems like a washing machine

  • Do you play decapitated or something?

  • LOL you said butter 5:30

  • This vid helped me out because i allways get tired when i am playing

  • this helps a lot dude. thanks for taking your time to film it and post it. you have some great skills

  • can you do this with out shoes to see your actual foot teqnique

  • can you do it with out shoes to see how u use ur feet?

  • Ur so good man :D i love ur peddaling >:) 5/5

  • what is that drumhead? was sweet sound.

  • @nonhasthisusername its a Evans Powersonic drum head. pretty sweet

  • @tmendoza619 umm.. I think you mean Remo Powersonic.

  • @VladDevastor yes, you are right :)

  • @tmendoza619 oh i thought it was remo;)

  • @tmendoza619 evans powersonic... LOL

  • @tmendoza619 remo

  • How's The Powersonic?

  • haha i never got the hang of the swivlel technique D: awesome vid :D

  • thanks man, you really helped me. im going to practice this ever possible day. thanks again!

  • fuck,.....

  • you should know that its proven that the swivel technique from an average of 20-30 years after doing it, causes long term damage to your ankles. no jk

  • @baronofhell08 i'm sure it does. i'll probably be paralyzed by the age im forty haha

  • @tmendoza619 can you make a video on how to do the swivel?

  • @tmendoza619 very clean playing, I like it a lot. good explanations too. by the way, do you sometimes feel pain in the knees ? :D (sometimes I do, though I'm far from being as fast as you are. it tends to hold me back from progressing.)

  • @tmendoza619 sick shoes can i buy them :)

  • @tmendoza619 watch george kollias's video about swivel technique. if you do it right you wont get f'd up. if its hurting you to play it, then your doing it wrong, if its not hurting, your probably fine

  • @vamsterr Its hurting because you're muscles aren't used to that and its more like working out and being sore than pulling a muscle and being in pain :/

  • @tmendoza619 let me be a little more specific. if your kneese are hurting(which they never should) then your doing it wrong :P as i said, look at his video on it, he says how he went to several specialists for advice.

  • @baronofhell08 I's trade my future ankles so fast bass drums now =)

  • @baronofhell08 @baronofhell08 I'd trade my future ankles so fast bass drums now =)

  • @baronofhell08 huh. I don't think many people even did the swivel teqnique 20 yrs ago. I know no one did 30 years ago really so who are these ppl that were harmed>

  • @baronofhell08 proven by who, when?

  • @baronofhell08 ya looking at swivel looks like it can really fuck up your ankles

  • @baronofhell08 what technique is better then?

  • @baronofhell08 knees not ankles the ankles are in normal motion with swivel you knees have to absorb the side to side motion witch causes the damage

  • @baronofhell08 thats only if you kick your heels out really far

  • @baronofhell08 It puts no stress on the ankle as much as regular playing does. It could howver damage the knee, where the actual pivoting happens.

  • @baronofhell08 indeed, I don't think the matter with swiveling will be with ankles, but with knees ! I'm pretty sure about that !

  • @baronofhell08 If you were observant, you would have seen that he ISN'T using the Swivel technique. I suggest you watch other vids on Swivel Technique to Clarify.

  • @baronofhell08 HOW?

  • @baronofhell08 That's a sacrifice we have to make for the music. lol

  • hey sorry for late response. i do play with triggers and this method works great for it. heel up or down.

  • What kind of pedals are you using?

  • pearl eliminators

  • great video

    "more quicker" hahaha nice one.

  • i like your shoes

  • wow thats all wow

  • three to two months. lol.

  • dude this video really helped me get faster. it just takes some time getting used to using ankles.

  • Im exactly like you! when i got my double pedal my left foot became faster than my right!...

  • what kind of tension do you use on pedals/bass skins (both resonant and batter)?

  • how are you so quick on the doublebase write back in German

  • good shite mate, in my ankle motion video i kinda say the same. :) keep the foot low and swing the pedal around.

    nice stuf!

  • hey dude, are u using a pearl double bass pedal? cuz it looks lik one. I heard u say that ur left foot has become stronger than ur right and that has become the same situation for me, is ur left pedal harder to hit than ur right? wats weird is my left leg/foot use to be the week one and now its my right,

  • yeah they're pearl eliminators. yeah im obviously right handed/footed but when i was training my left leg i was using full motion and my ankle muscles followed and got stronger, but now im effecient in bith ankles :)

  • i have to * lol could

  • yea i use that exact same technique but past 230 i could put my ankles in it but not in the straining way but to add more of a twitch

  • 5 staaarsss!!!!! :D

  • Impressive.

  • nice job tuanny. soooo sic. gravity all over my dog.

  • I like when you sit down and say "and then i'll break it down." It sounds so sexy.

  • This is the sex!

  • this is better than redtube and youjizz put together!

  • wat kind of head is that?

  • it is a remo supersonic it has two layers and pad you can button to it for the vibration and/or sound on the bottom

  • Do you have tips on building endurance under ankle motion, like, 180 bpm and under? I have the hardest time holding leg motion particularly at around 140 bpm for more than a minute, and I haven't seemed to be able to hold more than that for a couple months. I can play faster than that, but holding it is the problem. Any advice?

  • Would you please do a video about single stroke rolls and what helped you get each hand faster! cause i can straight blast but the transition between that to a euro blast is killing me. and my 32nd note rolls dont exist.

  • Sure, i'll see what i can make soon.

  • Lmao 1 of ur feet is like my speed at double bass

  • I use a very similar foot style, and it works great for me. Im a newer drummer and i used to play rockband *Heel down* and i developed my frontal ankle muscles and i felt the pain he is talking about. Now that im on real drums, with a real pedal *Tama Iron Cobra* My foot is REALLY fast, and i looovveee it, On rockband with a stock pedal its almost impossible to play heel up.

  • RAUNCHY! Beat that crap up!

  • dude you are sick as fuck!!

  • Woot!

  • that was sik man

  • pivot is ok but you get way more power out of flat foot!!!!

  • sec shit m8

  • thank you for this. i was wondering why some drummers' feet pivot like that.

  • Excellent explanation!
