I ride a Japanese street bike, because they are affordable, reliable and downright perform. However, if money were no object and I were considering looks and performance:
u just dont get what italian bikes are al about. italian bikes have more class and have better eye for detail than jappanese bikes. jappanese bikes hav just like there cars only an eye for performance while the italian bikes have eye for the whole package. looks, performance, detail thats where its al about and thats why you pay more for them ;)
@TheSilverflowers yea well everything is made in china, yes also japanees bikes. why? well its cheaper to produce them in china, but like u said the design is made in italy and u see that to. italian bikes and also cars are the best on design and looks, oh and al the parts are made in italy BUT ensembled in china.
No, people pay more for Italian bikes because they cost more to manufacture, and there is a premium for the marque. Like Harley; people buy them for the image, not the performance. If someone really wanted a twin (for example), well, the Sp2 craps on anything made by Ducati.
That said, I still want that Benelli, because it looks awesome. But a Honda would be more reliable and better-built.
@Sm0k31990 I agree the Italian bikes have the looks and identity, but i just can't live with this rattling noise and reliability issues! Its just an eye candy!.. otherwise nothing feels better than my R1!
i have one, it doesnt matter about the sound! take it to a show and everyone says, what bike is that?! its al about the looks. you want one dontcha ? lol

I would rather have the new cbr1000 for 9 thousand than a 1198 witch costs double, and the cbr is just as fast, and much cheaper all around. Italian bikes are just too ridiculous and cost alot for parts and repairs. Although they are beautiful bikes... I had an 07 duc monster s4r, great bike.
Even though Hondas are way more reliable than anything made in Italy? - I love the Benellis myself, but I can be intellectually honest enough to say that the Japanese build better, faster, more reliable bikes.
@Rainb0wSeven With the possible exception of Triumph. Take the Daytona 675 for example. I'd be willing to bet a fair wager that the 675 is at least as reliable as say a ZX6.
@Rainb0wSeven That bike is sweet too. All those 600 class supersports are to kill for, with the exception of (for me) the R6 (I don't like Yamaha). And I just realized that in your comment you were talking about ITALIAN bikes, lol. I didn't notice that before. So of course the 675 doesn't fit in that group.
Actually, the R6 is a great bike...BUT...always owned by squids. Yamaha make good bikes, it's just that they market themselves to young guys with delusions of grandeur.
The cooling Air from the radiator comes out from the bike through those propelers, maybe they make the air go through faster or something like that. you can read about them on benellis website. search for it on google and once you have entered the website look at the technology section and you can read about the radiator and see a picture of the air flowing through the bike
i'll up your wife and see yer gran.. please let me have one of these! i have a daughter waiting to go into white slavery.. but i'm sure if my son in law finds out he'll be quite happy to go along.. if he gets a ride of the bloody thing. not much chance of that lolol
bet that thing broke down straight after the video haha, thats my people buy yams, hondas and suzukis (they actually start in the mornings)

Honda... they're nice for children, asians, women, etc. But a full grown male naturally prefers the torque and danger of a European superbike.
