Actually, SHA came out in 1974, WWoL came out in 1978. Though, there are numerous songs with the same melody starting all the way back to pre 1700s, apparent in Pachelbel's Canon (Canon in D). Check out Axis of Awesome or Rob Paravonian's comedy rant about the song.
