I'm faster on my Dash than I am on my Tilt. I like the smaller keyboard, but I prefer Tilt by far.

the iphone got 11 seconds but notice how on almost every single word that he typed was mispelled and the iphone had to correct him. its a nice feature dont get me wrong but that said that either he sucks at using it or the onscreen keyboard is shitty

i did this with my fuze and i beat every single one i got five seconds almost everytime although im used to it i send about 30,000 text's a month

hmm i noticed how on the blackjack 2 he had to go into messages to type, on my blackjack 1 i upgraded to wm6 and it has microsoft word but you cant start a new document so is this also with the blackjack 2?

yeha i agree this is not one of the best comparisons because as he started using more phones he also used the sentence more so he was used to it and the blackjack is way wuicker than 11 seconds cux=z i have that phone and then again he may not be the d=best typer out there so idk i dnt like this comparison

That was a stupid comparison as there were 3 different types of phones.

I'm a touch phone user having both Omnia n iphone3G. Iphone3G is the best to type.

The one that came last, came last because he wasn't used to using that kind of keyboard by then. The later ones were better because he was so used to typing the same thing out. Rubbish comparison.

dude, your comparison is flawed. its not fair that you used the suretype for the onscreen keyboard devices compared to the ones with an actual keyboard. You should have leveled the field and did full qwerty with the onscreen virtual vs. the standard keyboard.

Nice test, BUT...

As the reviewer tested more devices, he started to get used to the sentence he had to type. So that means that the last device has quite some advantage on the typing speed of the reviewer, compared to the first one.

But it's still a great =)

You're totally right, Dan. Whether a keyboard is "good" is completely subjective, based on how long you've been using the device and how big your fingers are. I think this just may offer a good perspective for those looking at a variety of mobile devices.
