lol i think that it is nice to have the experience to watch dogs have birth cause well your going to be looking after them and you would like to see them when they are 10 mins born and by the way that stringy thing is its abilical corde or something cause how do you think they breath they attach it to their belly button and it is very hard for them they go threw the labour and pain just like we do it not gross cause you have experience of seeing a dog having birth and you need to help you dog :)

I had a female once that had 3 litters, on her first one we lost a puppy that came out feet first. She took forever to push it out nearly giving me a heart attack. After that there was only 1 that I had to step in on and was fine, but now everytime I see those feet pop out my heart races until that head appears.

And I commend the breeder for letting the dam birth on her own. It is best to let the whelping mom be. That is why if you decide breed you should know when to step in and when to let her be. We breed miniature dachshunds and we have never had any problems with the babies that come feet first. Don't breed if you don't know what you are doing. Reading on the internet doesn't count, for crying out loud.

Do you know what commend means? It means good job to the breeder for letting her be. Most dogs like their owners to be close by when they are giving birth, but unless something is going wrong, they do just fine on their own.

I'm sure you didn't want to be alone, and I didn't say anything about the dog being alone. Just not touched. I have seen people that start pulling the puppy out as soon as they can see a body part and that damages the puppy and the mother.

yes you will get cross breed dogs when dogs breed on their own i was going on about pedigree dogs, plus there is alot more to breeding than letting them do it on their own. larger dogs can need holding still while they are tied together so they dont damage each other, and as for my schooling 4 As 3 Bs and a C not bad that is it DUDE

what a lovely litter, my girl not long had pups and she just went mental when she heard your making there noises, feet first delivery is completly normal for any dog the problems can start from bum first births which is a breech birth, but very nice to see you sitting with her through it, alot of people just let them delivery on their own and dont care if theings go wrong, maggieknox, if people didnt breed dogs then other people couldnt get the enjoyment that we get out of owning them,

i sold 6 of my pups in the first 2 weeks and the other 2 the week after, responsible breeder breed their dogs so that other people can get the same enjoyment out of the puppy they have as what the owners get from their dogs, and only breed from healthy breed standard parents plus if everyone stopped breeding no one would ever have the pleasure of owning a dog again

Actually its very good to let the mother eat the cords and the placenta it helps her get her energy back from giving birth and it helps her Milk come in. They do it in the wild so whats different for peoples pets?
