  • U must be totally retarded to fly in an area like this!

  • Hello great project

can you explain how your system wing

    work?

  • cool

  • Gutsy place for slope soaring. Nice flights.

  • Nice work, So 60g was AUW? The wind looked like about 18-20 mph-

My FOX flyng wing had to be ballasted to 2.20 ounces to fly.

    Doug

  • Hi

I'm really impressed by your creative work. I am about to try something similar and I wonder, what kind of akku you used. It must be a really light one :)

    Greetings Pascal

  • @erlebnisraum Hi, thanks you :) I use an 80mAh lipo 1s

  • Can you please teach yor cameraman to hold a camera pointing at the RC Aircraft itself? Not into the distance below its flightline?

Other than that, Fantastic Video. I'm going to try and make it.

'Cept not with the Elevons and just with the Ailerons and Elevator. (I'm still a beginner)

  • this is the first time i see a fox flying with thermal! great.

  • that is a mini version of the multiplex easystar

  • Really great conversion! Is the wing centre section glued in, and the servos too? Are the servo arm CF rods glued into the wing panels? What is the material you use for the wing tube? I think this is the way to go in Fox conversions, really good job!

  • Thanks you :) I glued in the wing a plastic tube and a carbon rod link the wings. The servo are glued too. Yes the little rods where is link the servo arm are glued and when I want to disassemble the wing I just put off the servo arm of the servo.

  • @mickeydetanneron

Nice plane... I like the simple mounting. I have an aileron & elevator version and would like to build the next your style but I don´t know if I could use it with an 15g BL or if it is for sailing use only. Could you reply to berndseydel@gmx.de. THX in advance. Bernd

  • very nice build & video.. (ok, little shaky but still nice :) )

  • man in these updrafts u could sail a bick... o0

  • im selling my multiplex fox slope soarer, it is airalon and elevator version. please reply if you want to buy, i can post to anwhere. paypal or cash

  • vous gére bien le modélisme chapeaux

  • ur model is pretty fine and stable as well!!

  • idiot filming?

didnt see the plane half the video... o0

  • Nice video, I like the fact that you show the build process for pitcheron fox and then show her flying! You get her up pretty high, was the wind strong? I do have a question. What did you use to hold on the wings? Just the servor arms? I am making my first pitcheron and not sure how the wings stay on, could you explain?

PS you need a new cameraman...:o)

  • @th3dud3007 thanks you for your comment :)

The day of the video there wasn't strong wing I just put the glider in a buble of warm air ( lol I dont know the word in english)

You see true the wings are holding by the servor arms.

I have an another glider with pitcheron system and the two wings are holding by a rubber band : there is a hook under the eginning of each wing.

lol I know for the carmeraman lol

  • @mickeydetanneron

    Very well done!

By the way, a "bubble of warm air" in English is called a "thermal".

    Take care,

    Rocky

  • @rockyabq Thank you for the word ;) and in French is a thermique

  • Absolutly cool!! loveit :D

  • I love the set up. do you have any more pictures showing the servo set up?

  • Hi, I'm sorry but i put all photo that I taken during the making of on this video. Thank you so much for your com and if you have another question you can send to me message :)

  • Nice plane had the thought to mod it when it first came out. Power all the way for me .... but it is all in location no hills for updraft.

  • nice work and awesome video:) Bought a fox myself a couple of months back and will be converting it in the next xouple of months! If I may ask, what is the demension for the main spar with relation to the leading edge and where did your cg location end up-thanks:)

  • Hi the main spr mesure approximatly 15 cm and I use a carbon tube for the weight and the cg is approxiamtively at 1/3 of the edge

  • great vid

  • That's a really cool and intelligent servo/wing mechanic you made there!

But isn't sailing a bit boring? I'd also put a small BLDC-Motor in it. With a good motor, those FOX are very fast and funny!

  • Thanks you so much for the com :)

I love sailplane so for me it's not boring to fly with but maybe before the summer I gonna to increase the wingspan in order to have a better "sailflight" and if I'll do this I gonna to put an another video ;-)

  • It is very impressive. I have buy a Fox. I have measured 46 gr for the plane. I remove the ball mass and it has 39 gr. If I have a good lecture of your video you have a final RC sailplane of 61 gr. 61 - 39 (the plane without ball mass) = 22 gr !!!! How did you do for having an electronic system of 22 gr. Have you an AM radio ? Can you measure the mass of each element please ! Can you tell me about the reference of those elements ! Thank you for your reply. Best regards. Aleksander M.
  • Hi,

thanks you very much for the comment :)

So two servo of 3.7g each, a lipo 1S of 7.5g, a receiver of 7g and between the wing I use carbon tube of less 1g TOTAL : 3.7+3.7+7.5+7+1=22.4g

with the polystyrene that I take of for put servo receveir and battery you have approximately : 61g (22.4+39=61.4 less the polystirene a final rc sailplane of 61g)

I hope that I answer back of your question.

Don't hesistate if ou ahve another question ;-)

  • that is really cool how did it fly?

  • It fly very well but it's better with some wind for make long flight and if you want make some aerobatic just had 10 or 20g for more inertia

  • wow mickey 5 stars keep it up i love ur vids and ur very interesting creations. i didn't think the multiplex had enough wing are to glide that well. well u proved me wrong eh? 5/5 and keep it up.

  • thanks you so much for your comment soon i gonna to post a video of an airplane that i completely imagine and it's gonna to be the first airplane that i gonna to sell in the firm that i'm creating

  • Nice job - clean minimum drag! Need to try this - assume use elevon mix - throws look huge, might start with less

  • is a good idea but i might just make ailerons and use an elevon mix on them.

  • Comment removed

  • Jesus, get a better camera man!!

  • lol it's true!!!!!

  • Super clean! Very nice conversion!

  • Thanks you so much!!! :)
