There is a natural thickening with age, that shouldn't escape anyone, or you will look wasted away, and like you are closer to death than you are. You look the best you can for where you are in your life, and you work it. She does!

well its a bad thing for her to pack on a good 40-50 lbs in a 2 yr span. no one wants to see diana fat, please.... for 40 plus years she was thin and shapely and then in 2 yrs she packs on 40 lbs and looks like a sack of potatoes in this dress. beautiful face and voice girl lose the weight cause a fat diana aint diana at all.

Those who love Diana just want to see Diana. No one knows her pain, or whatever it was that caused her to put on weight, or to get a D.U.I. or show us that she is human being, not just a concept. What happened with Elizabeth Taylor at 62? Aretha? Chaka? Have a heart; Diana's never been considered a great or powerful singer, and never won a grammy. But what I've admired most is the choice to be herself. You said it; 40 years. . .no matter what, she's Diana.

wrong she was always considered to be an outstanding singer until recently when the definition of good singing changed to mean loud and gospel style. i.e. Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey. and that's not diana but she is/was always an outstanding singer. Aretha is a whale b.t.w. and chaka.

That is not so recent. I was around back in the day when she was compared to the then louder singers, Aretha, Patti, and almost anyone else who hadn't crossed over yet. It's also the reason so many Ross haters say she did things to get rid of Flo, who had the loudest voice in the Supremes. Louder isn't always better, sometimes it's just louder.

i think perhaps it's the non-figure flattering dress that was obviously designed with the stick figure lifelong image of Diana Ross in mind.... That's probably what has caused all this uproar about Diana being fat!  I was at one of her shows during this tour back in 2007, and she did not appear by any means fat with the other dresses she had on. Yes, she's curvier and has put on weight, that's expected in her 60s. As a matter of fact, I prefer her now rather than looking so anorexic back then

for those who said that Diana looks fat in this dress, well she wore the same exact dress in 1994 in a Netherlands concert..camera and the lights reflecting off the dress makes her look bigger.
