not an amazing guitar solo, but the unbelievable intro by the GREAT Jon Lord surely makes up for it....David is....well....David...at his thunder roar best!
Cozy or Paice just as good. Blackmore´s guitar play is Premier league compared to third division which is this guy in an overall?
It´s cool whith Lord in the band, but what the f**k is he wearing? He look´s like a guy that drinks to much beer at the local pizzeria and smoke constantley. white trash.
Coverdale is up there whith the best singers like "Dio", "Plant".
@drfotboll he played it excellently and he's mel galley, or well he is dead now, may he RIP. He was a guitarist in Trapeze as well, an excellent one he was. I think cozy does well on this song, but he seemed to have a tendancy to "rush" other whitesnake songs, which was not good. My favorite is Paice, although Cozy was a more "straight" on rock player, may he also RIP
the intro blew me away like thousand leagues under the sea... I mean, john lord, cozy powelL and david coverdale... priceless (but since I'm a bass player I will add Neil Murray to the rooster ;) )... fucken priceless...
there are parts where blackmore is better, but there are parts the arrangement here is better, like that whole thing at the beginning and when that happens again after the janitor-dressed guitarist solo. And goddamn, coverdale here is amazing, like...better than at california jam, he even adds falsetto screams and his voice is all around more raw and raspy, which is simply amazing and adapts very well.
Vergisses, Dä Mickey Moodey isch dä King of all times. Mit dämm würdi mal en Kafi go trinke . . . Mit em Dave/Ian/ etc hani scho es Pier trunke. Gaats mer besser wäge dämm? MOODY!!!!! DAs isch de Held!!! Mit dämm hani no nie gsoffe, dä isch en aber. Moody, y'er de King!!!
It may not have the twiddly bits of Blackmores but it goes with the powerfull performance which is collectively the best I have seen it done,by anyone.
...grandissima versione di Mistreated..Coverdale,Galley,Bomber Hodgkinson,Lord e il grandissimo Cozy al 100%..Cozy..rimarrai nei nostri cuori..God bless you!!!
That version deserves millions of views as minimum!!!!!!!! 'Cause this is true performance!!!!

I Prefer the version of Hammersmith Odeon 1978 of the album Live... In the heart of the city. A great solo of Bernie Marsden.

"en ropa verde" is Colin Hodgkinson, not Neil Murray

No, its Mel Galley.
facundo98 3 years ago
actually, there are 3 guys wearing green:
1. the left-handed bass player (Colin Hodgkinson)
2. the solo guitarist (late Mel Galley)
3. the drummer (Cozy Powell)
and the yellow lights on coverdale make him look like he wears something green...
