I had the pleasure of meeting the original Penguins (Cleve, Curtis, Dexter & Bruce) and getting their autographs in 1955 in Cleveland, Ohio. Cleve Duncan sang lead on the original recording (#8 pop & #1 R&B in 1954/55).

  • started and finished, the alpha and the omega

  • tzz no me toco vivir esos tiempos pero me concidero viejo (:

    ermozas epocas

  • It was a magical time! We never thought about anything except dancing, and love...or at our age (15) then..this was the best and still is!

Love is all we have no matter what age you are.Remember this please...I'm 63 and each and every-time I go to a funeral of a friend from this era...........I think about all the anger and hate in this generation and my heart hurts for the future generation!

  • @sheryl46 You hit it right on the head Sheryl. The sad thing is that they don't even know it. It won't be long and all of the old timers will be gone. Now, that's sad. I'm 65, but my memory of these old tune is very clear. I was very shy back then, and I remember watching kids dance to Mr. Lee at lunchtime on the campus. Someone would bring a portable record player and a stack of 45's.

  • Ditto here! I worry soo much about my kids, grand brats and all the new generation!

They don't even realize that not only they, but their own kiddo are going to suffer from severe hearing loss! God love them!

  • @fairlyfast1 I envy you!!! I'm 21 years old, but I was introduced to oldies in 1998. I would have loved to live in the 40's and 50's. Your generation will never be forgotten by this oldies lover!

  • Thanks. Original rock and roll is still the best. I had the pleasure to meet and marry a woman who worked as a singer for many years. I put some oldies together in a little arrangement which we sometime perform for friends. I also taught myself harmonica and jammed on rock and roll tunes with many club bands - even in Mexico, where we lived for a time! The cool thing about oldies is that with just a few chords, you can play hundreds of songs. If you don't play give it a try.

    Take care.

  • such good music thanks for puttin this on here.

  • FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @marcoantonio From Chinese in Asia I love this old Nigger music it was wonderful I wish it would return todays Nigger music is horrendous and most is banned from our radio as immoral!

  • There's only one thing able to bring us all together, leaving all our troubles and concerns about one another at the door and that is great great music such as the Penguins.

  • Bravisiiimo Final (You... you... youu)

    Just love it!
