  • haha i know, its recorded from a low end amp without even a interface and its not doubble panned or anything. its my first song with guitars go easy on me :)

nah if you want to hear my latest song its right on my profile page, im not 100% satisfied with the guitar sound but its a huge step from this.

    cheers

  • hey for like $80, you can get a m-audio fast track usb, and record your guitar in reason, instead of using audacity, the fast track has a preamp too

  • bullshit to blame the software. there's no soundquality difference in them.

  • nice song

btw, how do you add guitars recorded in audacity into reason? how can you import wav files ??

  • just make a nn19 or xt and import the sample

    cheers

  • Wow love the synth sound :D

Can you do some tutorials on sound design using Reason 4? ^^

  • Glad you like :D

Well im not sure haha, I wouldn't call myself a good sound designer..

  • @myrtorp Hehe no problem ^^, keep on making music.

Neway, I made one Epic symphonic Metal..just short one..haha check them out if you got time ^^.

  • Amazing song!!!

Are all the guitar sounds from reason or did you record your own guitar? Or both?

  • thank you!

    i recorded the guitar!

  • Dude what drum sounds did u use? Didu buy the reason refills?

  • I didnt use any refills in this actually, the drums are all sounds that comes with reason!

I cant remember if i set them up in a redrum or if i used a combinator though

  • what do u mean by using a combinator? i have songs made with protools and reason 4 but i'm not happy wiht the way the drums sound

  • there are combinator patches with drums. simply program the beats in the sequenser

  • in what software did u record the guitar?

  • Audacity, but now i use propellerheads Record

  • I'm a hip hop producer. This sounds GREAT!

  • Cheers mate!

  • sorry but needs lots of quantize in some parts

  • Dude, it's Rock! it's not supposed be quantized. It's supposed to have that natural/live feel. That was a really "young" statement!

  • nice

  • how did you connect the guitar to the pc?

i got a multiprocessor pedal zoom g.9 and i connect them through usb.

Can i get a quality as good as this?

  • what kit did you use on reason to get that drum tone?

  • I used the drums that comes with Reason, i cant remember which though

  • Awesome!!!!! Wooooooooo - ;-}

  • :-D!

  • Hey, is there any chance you can share mp3's for this songs?

  • Lol, you have the same process of sampling guitar as I do :P

  • haha :D

  • It doesn't sound as good as yours though.

Probably because I get bored of sampling after a while, lol.

  • lol ;P

    cheers

  • I love that songs at 3:48! Nice music, 5 stars^^

  • Cheers mate!

  • the guitar is from reason or is rex file?

  • I've recorded a real guitar and imported as .wav

  • import .wav into reason? how do you do that! :O

  • you can sample with either the nn19 or nnxt

  • a great way to import wav to reason is to make a .rex file for using with DR Rex. you can do that by using propellerheads recycle. a lot of tutorials explain how it works right here on the tube. i recommend you check it out!

  • cool

  • thanks!

  • Where'd you get the good drum beats? Also, when doing drums for a full song, is it normal to have 20+ patterns of beats and fills? Thanks. Let me know if you know of any good resources to learn drumming for reason, I suck at it!

  • I programmed the drum beats in the redrum, using standard Reason rock kits.

yeah its normal, ive even filled up all the patterns the redrum once, variation makes perfect lol!

  • you are great with redrum it sounds so rhytmic

  • Thanks!!

  • well played. add some words and you got a hit!

  • How did you get the palm muting in?

  • very nice :)

  • Thanks ^_^

  • mackan jag är på G när du kör igång projektet på denna låt ;)

  • :-D!

  • Sound great. What guitars did you use?

  • Thanks:D

I used a Cort, although i cant remember what model it is, pretty cheap, a little better than the g210

  • But this is no patch in Reason 4, or is it???

  • No, I played and sampled it all myself, although i guess I could make a guitar refill, dont expect top sound quality though, im still struggeling with recording on my new amp

  • i think it is not hevy metal, but good

  • thanks!

no heavy its not. one upcoming project tho is to make a brutal brakedown, so I'll have to tune down the guitar, and lower the pitch on my voice, cause else it would sound pathetic haha!

  • Brilliant. If you hadn't said it was made in Reason I would have sworn it was a live band down at the local pub. I can almost smell the beer and the sweat!!!

  • Thanks dude:D!

im going to try get some people toghether so we can actually play the song for real

  • Nice work. Did you download the drumsounds somewhere or did they come w/ Reason?

  • Ah yes offcource, Nothing beats Hardcorer Mike!

    F yeah!

  • Coolt :p 5*

  • Tack:)!

  • first tune is some pretty cheesy metal, second tune is cool, but heavy metal really aint my thing. what kind of guitar you got?

  • hah, well i have a Cort -something, I know its Cort but not which model, which is a pain in the ass since i want a whammy bar (need to know which model to get)

  • Nice! Especialy the part from 3.min is very cool. Nice job

  • Thanks dude:D!

  • Thats a really good song! :) five stars

Love the guitars. The drums sound real. Did you recoed the drums, or are they samples?

Yeah, I used to listen to alot of deathmetal and sometimes I still do. I used to be in a deathmetal band. I played the drums. Cool track though! keep it up.

  • Thanks:D

    you did ? awesome dude!

I listen alot to metal of all kinds:P

The drums are actually standard reason "rock" drums although i added reverb and compression to get it sound little less flat

  • I have a guitar too...but can't play :D haha (don't have a cube yet)

    interesting track.

  • thank you!

well im not really good at playing either, all i did was to play some simple power chords.:P

  • Very cool, it shows a different side of your musical ability, if your considering doing some more along this line then guitar rig 3 would be a perfect addition to your tool collection.

    Peace.

  • thanks dude:D

I actually have guitar rig 3 (dont aske me how i got it ehm) but i get really wierd white/pink/other noises that are so loud i can barely hear the guitar. same thing has happened with other similar programs ive tried. hmm?

  • Hmm, definatly strange, it could be a whole host of possibilities, including sound leakage from your computer or perhaps a rig problem on your setup.

Would be worth tracking down the fault and getting it corrected as the rig would be very useful for you so what ever you do dont give up.

I been looking at a midi guitar, can barely play but it'd be cool.

Wish they had a violin version as that would make my life a little easier :p

Infact all instruments should have an electronic counterpart.

    Peace
