  • What program used for this animation? Autocad Inventor or 3DS MAX? I search for good simulator for magnets. Can you help me?

  • @karvak1492 This is with CATIA V5

  • This is open diff right?

  • If I am wrong please correct me

    Locked Diff. best for

Low speed, tracion needed surfaces, uneven grounds

    Open Diff. best for

    High speed, steering, tarmac grounds

Because, in high speed steerings vehicle's weight center is moving to outer side of vehicle. So outer side will more heavy and If the diffs are open, outer side wheels can keeping them speed normal. But If diffs are locked, outer wheels going to spinning and driver lose control over the vehicle.

    I can't explain perfectly...

  • Uhmm...

  • @TheGoodorevil Yepp, that's correct.

  • @TheGoodorevil you are correct, it is because when you turn, the outer tires have to cover a greater distance than the inner tires. this will cause the inner tires to spin (there is more grip on the outer tires), and you will lose control and spin. the locked diff will also be able to get you unstuck while off roading, especially if some of the tires are off the ground.

  • @TheGoodorevil locked diff for straight lines like drag racing very bad for corners one side will jump if loked, depends on the application needed for the diff, also locked diff good for drifting, locked diff nor good for normal day application bye

  • @TheGoodorevil your correct but open diff is not idea. if your accelerating during a turn and the inside wheel loses traction an open diff will always divert power to the wheel that was the least amount of traction. open diffs always send power to the easiest wheel to turn. thats bad. thats why they make whats called a limited slip diff. which resist the wheels turning at different speeds. hope that made sense

  • maravilloso!!

  • I like it.Very interesting to understand the operation of the differential. If this animation is supported with some texts or different colors to recall the observer what will happened on the side gear while the car is making aright or left turn.

  • Excelente! Felicitaciones!!!

  • 0:33 best part

  • It explains how a car moves and turn... wow

  • dammit I'm in the spanish part of Youtube again

  • what is this good for?

  • @lior19977 This is good for steering

  • @ElPatillaDeCadi I have welded diff and is cool,i can do donuts ,only hit gas :D Open diff is shit ;/

  • @dulux997 Cool

  • @dulux997 lol you welded for drifting ;)

  • @Guss67T no :D i use car for city driving :) And wait for rain then drift :P

  • great, now i got it :D

  • @lior19977 bravo

  • @lior19977 mashing potatoes.

  • muy buena animacion =)

  • ta bueno

  • 00:55 bug :))

  • cutre

  • perfect video. amazing . thanx

  • Please visit the NXTutorials website for more cool tutorials on NX 8.

  • purdy purdy

  • hey thanks i finally got it.I understand the way of thinking of the guy who invented it. It is basically :if an outer force is applied to 1 of the axles,it goes right away to the other axle.

also, because of the friction in this sharing system, some torque always goes to the blocked wheel.yeah i got it

  • 3 people has a go-cart

  • BUEN TRABAJO !!

  • @070ruben Gracias!!

  • thanks for your work and effort. It has saved my time. this is for my students

  • Took me all 99 seconds to figure out how it works!

  • @millerlite1323 Hi! Let's see if I can explain it in 99 seconds...hahaha

The axis with the little bevel gear comes from the engine...this engine has only one rotating shaft...but you need two (one left wheel, one right wheel)...and you need they can turn at different speeds so you can turn in a curve without drifting...with this mechanism (differential---the four bevel gears linked among themselves) you can, in a curve, "borrow" speed and torque from one semi-axis to another...

  • ...remember, in a curve, inner wheel has to "travel" less distance than the outer wheel...so we need that inner wheel turns slower than outer wheel...

I hope explanation has been useful...excuse my little english!!

  • Thanks for this video uploaded it is gain our knowledge about differential problems.

  • Thank you sooooo much! Very helpful!

  • Thank you soooooomuch! It's very helpful!

  • I haven't solidworks model--->it's made with CATIA

    Sorry :-/

  • can i have solidworks part document??? thx

  • Mola ;)

  • gracias finalmente entendi como funciona el diferencial

  • Ejemplo muy gráfico y explicativo del diferencial.

  • OMFG :D

  • Falta un poco de explicación. Pero esta muy currado, gracias.

  • is it possible to get a copy of this model? What would the cost be and would you be available for hire if I required a modification?

  • @sikorskirj

    Hi!

Are you still interested in get a copy of the model, or a custom model?

    Thanks!

  • I would love to get it in SolidWorks file...
