  • Bunch of clueless morons commenting again...as usual on youtube. Stop posting stupid comments if you dont know anything about engineering.

  • Visitem meu canal e vejam este vídeo.

Apliquei uma coisa nova em minha vida e estou desfrutando muito...

  • No thats to hard...

  • 0:18 Looks like the airbag blowned. So headache and few weeks in hospital guaranteed. In total - not bad.

  • i bet those crash test dimmies feel stupid about driving into a wall

  • look at just how much crumple zone is left... just awesome

  • IT WAS THE CHARM MERCEDES----------BENZ

  • This volvo watch?v=tIFKdvuTylc , notice the weel did get back on this video.

  • @yamahaevo I think mercedes i better, and volvo is 2007. Look at new 2007 mercedes e.

  • interior quality mercedes has fallen, but that was still very impressive

  • Lots of the crumple zone left...

  • @speediee lady diana would have likley survived that crash had she worn her seatbelt! only one person was wearing a seatbelt in that crash, and he survived (the front passenger). that car held up remarkably well considering its impact and what it hit!

  • mercedes, s classe is the best

  • 40 MPH to soda can XD

  • no dear JAPANIES cars are also Good but german cars r great!!i love BMW!

  • Ever notes the air bags sucks... 0:15

  • safe cars are german cars, the safest cars are benz cars :). the facelift is 25% safer :D

  • quite impressive.

  • eat airbag bitch!

  • @2009jimmy2009 - I prefer to eat a airbag then a steering wheel...

  • its like just giving the car away, lol crashing that car just to hav a test is such a dumb idea, why not just sell it for half price, wont last a minute !

  • u see the germans are very smart. in the event of a crash the hood opens automatically to prevent the engine from catching fire. lol. jking

  • In my opinion it's hard to say which cars are the best in the world - Japanese or German. I think German :D But Japanese cars has this spirit of car and I love drive my Honda Concerto '95 :D

  • Germans make the best cars in the world!

  • damn those airbags are fast

  • MERCEDES FTW!

  • أتمنى تكون معي وحده مثلها ياليت

  • 5 star

  • 40 mph = 64 km/h. Not bad for an "old" E class

  • Its funny to see all these fun boys talk about whose car is better ....

Seriously...companies don't even pay you for writing that crap on here...

And...they don't even give a damn about whatever thing you write...

Seriously some people are just SO lame

  • note the side mirror glass fly to hit the driver

  • Do crash test cars have the engines installed in them?? I can't tell from the video.

  • @SPMNDK89 they have to, in order to replicate a real crash situation as much as possible. removing the engine would lighten the car considerably and would therefore not have the same mass as a car with an engine. besides, a safety design feature of any benz is that the engine and the chassis are used to absorb the energy of the impact.

  • what speed is the car travelling at?

  • Before my CL65, I owned a 1996 S320 (Long Body), And A guy ran a redlight, and I t-boned him in his toyota corolla, and I can tell you, I was goin approx. 45 mph, and I totalled his car, and my side fender was bent about 2 inches. German Engineering baby! it's the way to go!

  • No kidding! when i was a junkyard dog, i would see civics, and accords ripped in half... and then i would see a vw golf look like its been in a huge t-bone accident, but the cabin still intact!!!

  • Too answer ur question, about miles and cars...I guess I should have said they were owned at different times through the years. I own a 420 and an e class now

  • While mercs are nicer than cadillacs, the cadillac CTS did significantly better than this.

  • The germans are the gods of cars, no boby in the world can beat them.

  • @didization volvo are on there way

  • @didization Indeed!

  • german is the inventor of automobile so yeah they are the boss, but u know one day or another, they will be beaten

  • @coolgames14 ...By Volvo. 110 % sure!

  • @VolvoEP VOLVO TZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

  • @didization boby who?

  • @didization russians can beat them

  • @didization the german is the scum

  • @MrQpee you are a american redneck fag

  • which Saab is safer than this merc - the 9500 which based on the Fiat Croma? Hahahahaha....

No other car in this class has a stronger structure than this e-class W211.

American Cars are the worst cars in the world (except chinese cars) in safety. hahahahaha

Americans never coult built any good car and never could build any safe car.

All Volvo-Models are unsafer than this e-class - watch the crash-tests on youtube.

But you stupid americans belive what you want - hahahaha

  • @crazyeddie732 No, The Volvo S80 is way way safer.

  • @crazyeddie732 The Mercedes Doesn't have SIPS or many other safety features that Volvo has and Volvo scores higher on the crash tests. Volvo made most of the things that Mercedes uses (safety equipment)

  • @AdrianC12345 mercedes invented the airbag for example in the mid 80s. sips is a copyright from volvo ofc they have it but under other name

  • racist sideburns2009

  • this test was at 40MPH. geez read the description.

  • what a bank vault.....

  • mercedes benz is the most safiest car not a vw or audi can make this how mercedes. they gave the most money for crash test

  • actually i think volvo's have been rated some of the safest cares out there, not to mention subaru's. mercedes are not THE safest cars.

  • @sideburns2009

oh yes they are much more saver as bmw volvo and audi... they are spend the most money for safiety tests. look at the USF 2009 this is the safest car in the worlds and its from mercedes.

  • i dont think so. what the heck are you talking about anyway...For 2009 the IIHS named the Acura RL, Audi A6, Cadillac CTS, Ford Taurus, Volvo S80, and Subaru Legacy the safest cars in their class....the same class the Mercedes E-Class is. Maybe your're not from america but the IIHS is who rates them in america and those were their top picks for 2009 for that class. NOT mercedes e-class.

  • @sideburns2009

tests are not a reallife! simply thing opel astra is saver like a e class in a test. look at the horrible crashes that are reallife no test.. mercedes gave the most money of the world for safiety.. 150 real tests and 1500 computer tests with the newest technology..

  • Well anyway, here in AMERICA, it doesnt matter if they tested their own car 200,000 times. The results and who decides what score it gets is the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. If IIHS says a Audi A6 is safer or scored higher in a crash test than this mercedes then that is what goes. Gov't tests matter in the real world, not manufacturer tests.

  • @sideburns2009

sorry but i can you say everything. the old and the new e class are the safiest cars. that can say youre IIHS or anything. with the c and s class is it same they are the safiest in the class.

  • clearly, you can barely speak english and do not understand my comments nor do you understand the concept of what the IIHS is or does. goodbye.

  • @sideburns2009

sorry i know my english is not perfect. because i am a german who speaks russian litte bit turkey german and english. if you speak german i can you get more interesting things about safety. :) goodbye.

  • yea. you see this crash test is rated for america. just because the mercedes e class is the safest in germany does not mean it is the safest in america, as it is not.

  • @sideburns2009

I do not understand . why should be more unsafe e class in America than in Germany? they become in security certainly none would make a distinction do as too German models.

  • because in america the government tests the cars safety (IIHS) and determine the safety ratings based on our countries standards. other cars tested better than the e class apparently.

  • @sideburns2009

in what they are saver? only a wall test is really dump. mercedes test it outside not in a house who is a wall. i say you and believe me that is fact thats mercedes are the safest car in the world.

  • these tests have been keeping us safe and giving us insite on how safe a car really is in the worst type of front end collision, etc. hahaha. i disagree that mercedes is the safest car in the WORLD...in germany, maybe. but the world? i doubt it.

  • @sideburns2009

yes the safest car in the world is mercedes they made he safest car the USF 2009 a S 400 Hybrid.

  • well here in the US we like to go on facts. Just because mercedes spends a lot of money on safety testing at their own place, it doesn't provide facts like the IIHS tests do here. I'm glad you think it's the safest car but I disagree, and I can.

  • @sideburns2009

Than tell me why a benz is not the safest car? here in germany they tests ford, jaguar,volvo...

the benz has the safests cars in there classes.

PRE-SAFE that have only a mercedes. this cannot test IIHS if one goes only against a wall

  • i'm not argueing. go ahead and pay 70,000 dollars for a car that you think is the safest in the world when a volvo, saab, acura is 30-40k less and just as safe, if not safer

  • @sideburns2009

you can compare nobody volvo or saab with e first-class because e first-class simply more quality has in the car and it is more sure! PRE safe has no other brand in the world, pre safe became even with one or to several praise excellently. believe me in e first-class you are more sure than in everybody other auto his first-class.

  • @sideburns2009 IIHS is a non government institute. And it is funded by insurance companies.

Ure goverment does only non offset tests cause it backs US car manufcturers. It doenst care about the occupants.

Insurance companies have to pay for the occupants.

Ur government only pays the car manufacturers

  • @janssen70 How far did you dig to find that comment?

  • @sideburns2009 not far

  • u dont count the car in front of you, maybe he's doing 100 mph ....but at least with a non-moving car it`s SAFE ..bwt i LOVE MERC.

  • 64kmh mallar

  • 100km/h ? is good rezistence :-bd why they don't try at 140-150km/h or even maximum speed for cars ? so Mercedes is one of the most safiest german cars ?? :O I don't think so , maybe Audi or Volswagen or the same , but I know that BMW is not so safe

  • 50mph?

  • looks really safe

  • compare this to the ford F150..seriously

  • yeah i just seen the ford f150 car crash test after ur commented to watch, true that it recieves sever damage, but you got to remember the F150 is alot heavier and it was to be made to compress that far after the crash so the occupants dont absorbe the impact. its probably a really safe car really.

  • but then u may want to compare the F150 to a similar SIZED car like the Tundra then compare. I think u have a point...

  • This just goes to show that American made cars/trucks are crap compared to here in Europe, where we actually put safety before profit!

  • its a tank

    amazing

  • Nawet drzwi nie ruszyło ;D To sie nazywa samochód!!! Mercedesy Górą

  • the Dark Tunnel Of Death takes the life of another unsuspecting MERCEDES =(

  • Thay could have just given it 2 me lol

  • poor mercedes :(

  • And it is....fuckers

  • Oh man the s class is safer than all cars in the world

  • Everything is working properly, look to see!

  • Don't you have the feeling ( by watching the video), that the safety belt doesn't work properly... ?

  • its meant to slowly let go so that he does not get whiplash and the airbag gets used

  • i see this too however it still got great ratings....

  • e350 best gasoline engine not too small not too big optimal for this car

  • good car I have a 320 cdi..very good mpg ..

  • wow this is safe... never doubted that MB wasn't safe though!

  • Very solid car.

  • E420 CDI best diesel-car

  • thts what my dad has i think

  • Hmm must have been when Chrysler was leaving the picture, thank goodness.

  • Good bye, stupid Chrysler. I hope ChryCo goes bankrupt!

  • they are going bankrupt

  • HAHA bankrupt you must have read a false US newspaper ad

  • "President Obama forced Chrysler into federal bankruptcy protection on Thursday so it could pursue a lifesaving alliance with the Italian automaker Fiat, in yet another extraordinary intervention into private industry by the federal government." The New York Times

  • OK

    first off NYT hahahahaha

    second

Mercedes and Chrysler are not the same company and haven't been for some time

    thanks for trying!

  • well just search "chrysler bankrupcy" and you will find sources from CBS, BBC, CNN, Bloomberg and so on. As for your second point, I know Mercedes and Chrysler aren't the same company and i never claimed them to be....

  • well your posting it on a E class mercedes video and also replying to my comment saying that mercedes is not going bankrupt

so WTF would you post a bankruptcy info from the NYT on an E class video anyway?

    weird i guess?

  • overall evaluation: awesome!!

  • I never noticed how long the hood was

  • looks good to me

  • in this case would the drive have to get a new car? or would he be better off just fixing it? i think it depends on how old the car is. if it was new, i'd fix it, but i think anything over 4 or 5 years old, i'd just get a new car

  • positively not that car now has structural damage and would be totaled. Best to just recoup the insurance and buy something else.

  • it's not good to fix a car that has been crashed.

look up fifth gear's "new vs badly repaired crash test"

if a car has been in an accident and then fixed, it will perform much worse in future ones

  • Damn, that dude got bitch slapped by that side view mirror glass.

  • muy bien

  • lol the mirror strikes the dummy

  • maybe need to secure the mirror more

  • HEHEHE

  • VERY impressive frontal damage. The damage didnt even go past the front wheel. Too bad the side crash test wasnt nearly as impressive

  • さすがメルセデス!!!

  • omg, how they do a test, why they didn't give it to me...

  • maadarchoot....bhadwe..saale...kaminey....gaando....jaa apni maa ko chood dal!!

  • very safe got nice rating but i still prefer volvo or ford taurus

  • cirenow

  • no there beatiful but are unrealible my dad works at a vw/mb and both brands have many cars that break down before there sold or even driven. i love them though if i could afford them id still buy it.

  • benz dont crash. did you see one? ask your self that.... Benz is stick to the road, giving you a safe felling like no other car..

  • um yes, plenty of them do. just because Benz's might "stick to the road" (lmao it's not a super car or anything) doesn't mean other drivers do. so ask yourself this: how often do you see average civillians crashing their cars straight off the lot at exactly 40mph into a solid wall? hmmm...i bet you can't say you have except in the tests. ask yourself that. "giving you a safe feeling like no other car"? tsk tsk. how ignorant people are is sad.

  • hah! you should use simpler language, more like: guns dont kill people, people kill people.. hah! benzs' don't kill people, people kill people.. or something like that... maybe he would understand then.

  • damn, didn't realize its been a year since i made that comment but i own a mercedes and not too long after i wrote this comment i got into an accident. guess why? because it didn't stick to the road lol. literally. i slid at 40mph into a brand new BMW 750LI when i was down in Houston. traffic is pretty crazy down there though. Mercedes "giving [me] a safe feeling like no other car.." LMFAO

  • Wow now that's a strong car

  • and lastly dont send me no more emails on this ignorant shit. Have a good day

  • Mercedes reliability is the best in the world.. the newest models have been tainted by the Chrysler merge

  • mybnz190//

of all the things MB does, you bring up reliablity.

    it's what they do worst.

  • Oh really well I have a Mercedes 300sd with 400,000 miles on it and a 190e with 260,000 miles and a 420sel with 186000 and a 2004 e320 going strong... tell me what that is then.. know it all

  • mybnz190//

your personal examples don't matter here. It's in general not you.

  • most taxi cabs in europe are mercedes because they run forever and they don't break. you are very mistaken, they are very reliable cars, that's why they are more expensive than others.

  • vik//

most run european vehicles because it's europe. most american taxis are american because it's america. same goes for asia.

It's not because of the reliablity, but being local.

  • I agree with what you say but that wasn't the point i was trying to make.

Why do you think they are unreliable anyway? I've seen many many examples with over 600,000km on the dial.

  • viktord/

i wasn't saying they're horribly unreliable. I said it's their worst, meaning they do great jobs in many areas but not in that department.

  • Then why, may I ask, that Americans use Ford Crown Victorias, a rather cheap car, compared to a Mercedes E-Class that the Europeans use? They, perhaps, could have used an Opel or Citroen, the cheaper European cars available on the market. But instead, they offer their clients a luxury sedan that provides comfort and reliability.

  • chow333//

no. im not saying its worse than the other. im just discussing the issue. american cars are even worse.

  • No cirenow Mercedes rocks.

  • how is it that you have 400,000 miles on one car, 260000 on another and yet 186000 on a 3rd??? do you buy them used? did you put the miles on them yourself? holy cow do you drive!
