I worked at a country radio station in the '70s. I remembered fragments of this song and have looked for it over the years. Tonight I found it! Amazing.
Thanks to all for the kind words about Calico, our music and those great Teaxs Music days of the '70s. I have 3 Calico CDs for sale, digitally transf'd from unopened albums & high quality, preserved tapes at: TexAzTed@Hotmail.com.
1) "The Complete Calico" 24 tracks, including the two albums & original demos. 2) "Calico..'75 LIVE" our live radio broadcast celebrating the release of 'Calico Vol I.' 3) "Calico Live at The Mineshaft" live stage recording from the legendary club in Arlington, TX.
Keith Impellitier piano player and singer of this song (Ifacebook) has both albums converted to cd and sells them. He sent me some co\pies and it sounds great!
Thank you for the post. I have that album. it is great. Went to college and worked with my old friend Jerry Oates of Calico. Used to go see them in Fort Worth, Dallas, and Arlington. Great band.
I thought I was the only person who remembered this group. I've been looking for Calico albums for years. I lived in an apartment in Carrollton when these songs came out and one of the band members' brothers or brother-in-laws (or cousin--it's been a long time) lived upstairs from me.
Are you kidding. I loved this group in the 70's. I lost the album as I was raising my kids.....in one of the moves. Anyway, on a whim, I did a search on Youtube. YOu have a new CD?
we are alive and kicking and still playing all the calico songs. we have the first album for sale and are working to do a brand new set of songs very soon. email me at this name on america online and we can let you know when and where we are playing next. we were just at gilligan's in Arlington last week
Hey Silvercreek21, I went to "Up your Alley" in Dallas every chance I got to watch them. I'd love a copy of this song. Are they even available anymore?
This was such a great time. Great Progressive Country Music as we used to call it. I would give anything to have this album on I tunes!

Mine Shaft for a pitcher of beer & Calico performing.
Now thats what I'm talking about.
Last time I saw Calico (in person), was at the old Sportatoriam in Dallas when they performed in concert with Willie Nelson.
Good times, no GREAT times. Such great love ballads on that album.
