LOVED THIS, WAS IN COLLEGE AT TENN STATE UNIV AND THE BAND PERFORMED THIS WITH CIRCLES ON THE FIELD, GOING IN OPPOSITE DIRECTIONS. STILL BAD TO THIS DAY,ARISTOCRATS.
This takes me back to a warm place hidden in my youth. Thanks for opening that memory. That was time of discovery and stepping into womanhood. More liking slipping into it......
I was in Vietnam when I first heard this song...my wife had stopped writing and I couldn't get it through my head how she could just leave me hanging onto our memories. By the grace of God everything worked out after she requested a divorce. I was no longer going in circles.
@DRF no woman comes before GOD. Besides if she would step out on you while you were serving your country she wasnt worth the rest of your life anyway...Shame on her
I'm amazed (although I really shouldn't be) that a lot of people think that Luther Vandross or The Gap Band were the original artists on this classic jam. ... -Oh lord, forgive them for they know not what they do.
I grew up in Boston and remember this song for sure, myself and my friends would stand near the stereo and pipe the whole song, brothers and sisters together. It was about 6 of us doing this and we would pipe the Stylistics along with others too. I sure miss "back in the day"
Im only 18 and i love music from this era it's soulful and have meaning to the lyrics, i love blasting this song on my mp3 just tuning everything and everyone out
I'M SAD SO I SEARCH FOR COMFORTING MUSIC, I THINK WOW HOW ABOUT FRIENDS OF DISTINCTION "GOING IN CIRCLES" AND FOR A SHORT PERIOD I'M FEELING BETTER LISTENING TO THIS SONG SHARES THE LOVE!!!!
I'm like only 13 but i love listening to my parents oldies especially in California when we're crusing San Fernando Valley where i grew up....it makes me...happy.. :]
I'm 25 years old, and I enjoy songs from the era of the 60's, 70's and 80's! Some people think I rode a time machine to get here today from the Old Skool days! Dont hate! LOL
@RULE78 Sorry to hear about your mother but this song will help you think of all the great memories you had together with her. Hope you have a great night.
When I was a kid in the 70's, we visited family friends near Napa. It was my first trip to the USA and we landed at Oakland airport. Ever since I've had an affinity for Oakland related sport and music (A's & Raiders) (Tower of Power, Tony, Toni, Tone etc).
