  • So habe ich Pink Floyd `71 in Münster live erlebt. Brat-Bear

  • Cazzo, io avevo solo 6 anni e mia madre ascoltava i Beatles.....

  • The almighty Binson Echorec!!

  • 3:49 es jim morrison??¿??¿?

  • @marceloelperry nooo! LOL

  • @marceloelperry XD XD XD yes!! XD

  • this is pink floyd ...

  • I absolutely MISSED MY TIME. I should've been a part of the 60's and 70s musical revolution live and in person. it saddens me man! The feeling I get just watching and listening to footage like this is amazing, but I couldn't imagine standing there in it and sharing space and time with it............

  • jam, the best of music of early seventies!

  • unbelievable this footage!

  • You Tube is endlessly cool

  • give me Roger

  • ups... virtuosismo puro!

  • They should have put this on Meddle.

  • @SRone45 its an outtake from ummagumma, should have been on there instead of nick mansons track

  • @SRone45

    preceding echoes.

  • Psicodelia maravilhosa!

  • LSD

  • Mason > Peart

  • 40 years and 3 days ago :D

  • Delicious!!! Fuck, I love these guys...can never get enough...Been listening since I was a kid, now 'm 43...never seen them all together :-( I'd give my left arm to have been at Pompei...Peace

  • It amazes me that Pink Floyd never released these perfectly good concert videos with tunes like these....

  • Happy birthday Mr. Wright!

  • floyd en los mas canabisrecuerdos, reuniones de fuma fuma siempre pink floyd presente......

  • A prime example why wright and mason are such a major part of the floyd. Wasnt just gilmour waters and Barret. And to me Barret had little to do with it apart from lyrical inspiration to future songs. Without Gilmour, Floyd would not have become floyd, especially with Waters at the Helm. But thats history, and personal thoughts. I love this clip mainly to see Mason going hard.... you dont see to often.

    I love

  • awesome

  • @BrokenChair88 yes :)

  • @xipaul

  • No i'm talking about embryo...

  • @namfoodler Wow, they definitely did achieve widespread popularity, they were pretty popular from the start with Syd Barret after the release of Piper at the Gates of Dawn. Probably one of the most recognized rock bands during the 70's.

  • WOw--was this just unearthed i nthe past year or so--never saw this !!

  • One of the many great bands that never achieved wide spread popularity, which makes there music that much more memorable and timeless.

  • @namfoodler you can't be talking about Pink Floyd!

  • This sounds like a Doors song. It is a bit different then I thought it would be.

  • A great find...excellent pro-shot footage, nice extended jam...interesting to see the electronic seagull section of "Echoes" make an early appearance in the middle. "Embryo" really should have been on an album, not just some compilation like "Works", especially considering some of the filler that made it onto the studio portion of "Ummagumma" and "Atom Heart Mother"!

  • Very true! PF should have opted for a more conventional album in "Ummagumma"; I think we could've done without "Sysyphus Parts 1-4"!

  • @apacolipps I agree.

  • awesome!!!

  • gold age floydddd....wish i was thereee...reaching for a peach during the day and watching floyd by the evening

  • THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS!!!

  • WHAT CD IS EMBRYO ON?!

  • there's a studio version on WORKS

  • F.O.D.A ! ! !

  • I've been looking for this all my life. Thank you!

  • What was the other video that had the rocking intro to this? It would be sweet if someone spliced them together.

  • Oh my friggin' god.... it's not youtube that amazes me, it's the people that have footage like this!!! Embryo... live... seriously? Jaysus!!!!! Love it!!!!!! No, really, LOVE IT!

  • @scouserfourteen ...I agree...

  • @scouserfourteen there's also a version in youtube of 27 minutes long, it's amazing

  • This is crazy rare. Great stuff. In some ways Embryo is the forerunner to Echoes, and by extension Welcome to the Machine.

  • Richard Wright R.I.P.

  • 7:50 to 9:00 it's heaven!!! omg

  • Pink Floyd was rarely on film, let alone playing a song they never really released. this is fucking awesome!

also NIck looks kick ass with that hat on

  • Wow... unbelievable.

Mason seems to be out of rhythm most of the time, but somehow the other don't follow the chaos he's producing... what a band!

  • I really cried when I saw this........wonderful.....

  • 3:45 for example

  • for a few seconds sometimes this reminds me VERY clearly of Black Sabbath's Ironman...don't get it wrong...im only speaking about the bass...anyone with me?

  • yes,a little bit.

  • this is rare stuff

  • where did you get this?

  • Rick Wright was a monster on Farfisa duo, but he was a very original and expressive Hammondist indeed......very jazzy and experimental as well.......what a big loss Rick!!!!!

  • Marvellous stuff. Thanks for sharing.

  • lovely one!!!!

  • NICK mason, please.

  • 5:40...echoes

  • Rare stuff!

  • PINK FLOYD¡¡ the more i listen pink floyds music the more i realise how shit is almost all the rest music... pasion, feeling, music in its best level, inteligence and david gilmour of course, if you dont have david you cant be the best la pink floyd was an is now and always.... rick your work is so amazing that i cant express it just in words....just thanks for your music and art

  • I came to the same conclusion 25 years ago about most music being crap.

  • I agree, because I love the way they join such extraordinary, intelligent and creative music with art. You can compare it with new styles of music and it will sound like old angels music around a new and big piece of shit.

  • 2.07 ..haha roger waters screwed it up..

  • How?

  • he slided one fret higher..but its alright..they're still pink floyd..ii wud suck roger waters salty balls n david gilmours salty dick...suck it so hard..cuz theyre pink floyd

  • who cares

  • Ahhh, a hint of Echoes in there. Lovely.

  • i miss you pink

  • Rick Wright, R.I.P. - you'll be missed - congratulations on your promotion to the Great Gig in the Sky! Out of the corner of my watering eye - sorrow.

  • q masa floyd!!!!!!!! I love you gilmour!

  • Incredible. I have this recording, but there are no words for how cool it is to see this performance. thanks

  • Where does this video come from? I mean, is there a boot that contains not only the whole performance of the song, but other songs from this show?

  • yeah, the entire performance is available on sharing sites like echoeshub

  • wonderfull

  • The best era of Floyd, by far!

  • agreed

  • woehaha :DD

  • is that a joke of some sort : \

  • that guy was NICK MASON...

  • or as they called him in this concert

    MICK Mason.

  • I desire to be there, really!

  • Ooh, I have this as a bootleg album!!! ^^

If you like this song, the Roio Embryonic Madness has a 28 minute version of it, where Rick's Organ fails, so they jam on an extra 15 minutes! That was the Embryo's last performance.

  • Hell yeh! I have that roio also. If u listen carefully, during the jamming they start playing what sounds like a very infantile version of 'Breathe'. Very cool stuff.

  • I know! There's even a part from Raving and Drooling, which became sheep.

So you collect Roio's, do you? I know where you can get a lot of them if you want. :) Easily, too.

  • Oh yeh?... I get most all of mine from a message board dedicated to Floyd trading. Message me if you want to know the address.

  • in the sky with another pink floyd song

  • great video, classic song but the best live era would have to be 66-67 in terms of everyone using their music capabilities

  • Anyone else see a connection between the concept of an "embyro" and the "sychronicity" with "Echos" and the birth of the star child in the "Jupiter & Beyond The Infinite"?! I keep hoping! Very beautiful song and film anyway!

  • Another brick in my Floyd collection! Thanks to Panda & YouTube for making a musical fantasy come true.

  • Is the greatest video of pink floyd because is only a travel into the viseras of our brainbro

  • yeah definitely 70-73 was the best floyd era atleast in terms of the live shows, and Embryo rocks like so many other songs of that era notably Echoes, careful, green is the color, cymbaline, astronomy domine, saucer, one of these days, dark side...FLOYD ARE THE MUSICAL INCARNATIONS OF THE LORD ALMIGHTY

  • yeah deffo 1970-73 for the greatest Floyd era both live and studio. Though Wish you were here wasn't a bad album!!! but not pastoral like the formers

  • Great song. Great video. Thanks for posting this.

  • I love this song!

I love all of the Floyd eras! Jeez if you are a true fan you love Floyd no matter what time they made music! I love all Floyd. This song just rocks

  • Great song from one of the best Floyd era's

  • i love how rog says "oh shi.t!!!" then starts to headbang...but ends up doing it at the wrong time & then is like no no yah! hahaha

    I LOVE THIS SONG! :n)

  • Great! I love this song. It's interesting to see how the final part would become "Echoes" years later.

  • If you ask me, the best Floyd era was 1970-72...and this video is a great tribute to the pre-Dark Side period.
