You can't tell by this video the effectiveness of this ol guy. I witnessed with about 25 others Grand Master Stefano Surace take on two challengers one after another here in Las Vegas. the two fighters were mocking. I tell You he is the real deal. He easily handled the first Muay Thai fighter and knocked him out within seconds. The second challenger was a MMA fighter here in Vegas and he had Master Stefano in trouble for over one minute then was knocked unconscious with a neck chop.
He proclaims that his father helped the last master of real ju-jitsu during the war, so he taught ju-jitsu to him and his father teached that to stefano. The problem is that he self proclaiment himself as a 10th degree black belt and says that his style is the best of all time. The problem is that he is ridiculous and his students always get thier ass kicked.

If these two guys are giving a plain old demonstration, then yes, that dude sucks balls. If his uke is trying to counter him every time, then yes, he's pretty good. It's a lot more difficult to keep someone from countenring you and pull off a successful move than it is to do a move against a relaxed and compliant uke. Go learn some jujitsu and you will know that.

It's hard to tell by video what subtle interplay may be going on between the two. Often in jujitsu the real struggle is hard to see, because it is very subtle. If the Uke is resisting him, then that would explain the tension in the moves. Some look better than others, I thing these are where He's not being resisted.
I truly hope this is a joke. Of course, today this is standard martial arts. Watching the other Butokukai stuff I can see this guy is training people to be as poor as he is with the same lack of center.
The all "Self-Proclaimed" are sad... means they can't get recognized in the real martial arts realm.. either they not good enough.. or they not enlightened enough to be graded any higher... say probably 4th Dan.. then they go grade themselves...

He may be a great fighter, but I also think he's lazy. There's no posture, so it all looks irrational and sloppy. I wouldn't bet on myself in a dojo fight against him, he should be hella strong, but he's spent to much time on his backside to beat me outside. No stamina or flexibility.
This is the best demonstration of a martial art I have ever seen. The master is obiously only showing enough skill to deal with the UKE and no more. The masters true skills are given away though by the kick at 00:37, driven with such force that had it connected the uke would have had every bone in his body shatter into little pieces.
Sorry man, but i would knock this guy out. I respect his knowledge of martial arts, but he is sloppy. I'm also tired of seeing a demo where the two don't realy spar. It belittles the true art. K

You can't tell by this video the effectiveness of this ol guy. I witnessed with about 25 others Grand Master Stefano Surace take on two challengers one after another here in Las Vegas. the two fighters were mocking. I tell You he is the real deal. He easily handled the first Muay Thai fighter and knocked him out within seconds. The second challenger was a MMA fighter here in Vegas and he had Master Stefano in trouble for over one minute then was knocked unconscious with a neck chop.

He proclaims that his father helped the last master of real ju-jitsu during the war, so he taught ju-jitsu to him and his father teached that to stefano. The problem is that he self proclaiment himself as a 10th degree black belt and says that his style is the best of all time. The problem is that he is ridiculous and his students always get thier ass kicked.

I'm not saying for sure that the guy is good, I'm just saying that there are some things that are hard to see on a camera, and he might not suck as bad as you think. What is your basis for making your judgments? I'm speaking from a background of thirteen years practicing a wide range of martial arts, and an understanding of, as I said previously, the interplay between tori and uke. It's Jujitsu, dumbass, not Tae Kwon Do. Do you know the difference? See the two happy men on the screen, they do something called jujitsu... they don't kick each other in the head, because that would be a different style. When people kick each other in the head, we call that tae kwon do or karate. In tae kwon do, happy people kick other happy people in the head all day long... doesn't that sound fun?

If these two guys are giving a plain old demonstration, then yes, that dude sucks balls. If his uke is trying to counter him every time, then yes, he's pretty good. It's a lot more difficult to keep someone from countenring you and pull off a successful move than it is to do a move against a relaxed and compliant uke. Go learn some jujitsu and you will know that.

You tell me to go do martial arts when you've done 6 months of muay thai? Come talk to me in 10 years when you've grown up. Both as a person and a martial artist. And no, you don't need lots of flexibility to do jujitsu. One of my specialties is teaching people with disabilities how to defend themselves. I've taught one armed jujitsu before. You can make it work, you just need to understand your limitations, and work with your strengths.

It's hard to tell by video what subtle interplay may be going on between the two. Often in jujitsu the real struggle is hard to see, because it is very subtle. If the Uke is resisting him, then that would explain the tension in the moves. Some look better than others, I thing these are where He's not being resisted.

He may be a great fighter, but I also think he's lazy. There's no posture, so it all looks irrational and sloppy. I wouldn't bet on myself in a dojo fight against him, he should be hella strong, but he's spent to much time on his backside to beat me outside. No stamina or flexibility.

This is the best demonstration of a martial art I have ever seen. The master is obiously only showing enough skill to deal with the UKE and no more. The masters true skills are given away though by the kick at 00:37, driven with such force that had it connected the uke would have had every bone in his body shatter into little pieces.
