  • 0:34:20 "I find your lack of faith disturbing." - Darth Vader.

  • RohypGnosis. You took the words right out of my mouth. I said thank you because I realized ( through what they had said ) that it was a better idea to find out for myself than ask others to tell me. I took the side that has more proof, and it wasn't theism.

  • @funnyvidssnet Let me ask you this. What are your morals? If you aren't religious, you obviously have made up your own morals by not following the morals set in place by Religion for the past tens of thousands of years. Please respond back.

  • As an atheist and soon-to-be-Marine, i appreciate you recognizing the fact that the military isn't all a bunch bull. Atheists in the military, in my experience, are very few in number. Mostly Roman Catholics, a few Jews, even some Muslims, but almost no atheists. I guess when one's life is on the line, one would turn to anything to try to protect one's own life, body, and soul.

  • @BostonBoy00 Not exactly. Being Christian represents putting others before yourself, like Jesus did. Being selfless of course. Atheists would technically be worse soldiers because they believe that there is only one life and that there is an endless void after death and nothing happens. Isn't that a little depressing? Atheists wouldn't want to die and lose this only life, right? Right.

  • @atorrand1 Well, with all due respect, unlike all Atheists (according to Christians) I have morals and am willing to die for many things for a good cause. But I understand why Christians don't like Atheists. I don't like how they show their hatred so much, though.

  • Your lack of faith disturbs me XD

  • when can I hear this show live?

  • I hear all these stories and I wish all towns were like mine. My circle of friends includes a mormon, a jew , a lutheran, a roman catholic and strangest of all a wiccan. I'm an atheist and I love them all and I wish all the world was like my hometown.

  • I am an atheist...and there are no Chaplains in Foxholes.

  • Hey thinking atheist. I'm a life science student majoring in gene studies. I am an atheist for about 12 years now. Remarkebly enough we have religious people in this study (Holland). I like discussing and debating so i do my part in the good fight. I want to say that i like your vids and like to encourage you to proceed. Greets from Luuk Oderkerk, Holland

  • The monument says : "In memory of ATHEISTS IN FOXHOLES and the countless FREETHINKERS who have served this country with honor and distinction. Presented by the national Freedom From Religion Foundation with hope that in the future humankind may learn to avoid all war.”[

  • And as the great George Carlin said, paraphrasing "I pray to the sun, the simple fact that I can see it lends to it's credibility."

  • that last caller, from Heidelberg Germany called for the EXACT same reason I wish I could have called in for.

My name is Taylor Nuckolls, I am almost 17 years old, and I have been an Atheist for almost 17 years. I've never believed in God, and Luckily, my parents don't really talk openly their religions. I am not from a military family, and I am civilian. I moved into the military comunity when I was 14, and it is one of the worst experiences I have come across so far in life.

  • How can you be a Christian and be in the army? I thought "thou shall not kill" and love are important in Christianity.

  • @AmokBR Christians hypocrisy

  • @AmokBR There's a special exception made if your enemies are Amalekites. Beyond that point, it's just a matter of clever relabelling.

  • @AmokBR How can you be so ignorant?

  • @Gregl2013 What do you mean?

  • I thought that if you were a soldier from USA, and wanted to murder men women and children, you had to be a Christian soldier, isnt that how holy wars work?

  • I was in the middle east during Desert Storm. Was I scared? You bet. Did I pray to God? No.

  • @dan07011 A. you were never in the army or B. you were in army cadets or scouts, solely based upon your statement. No of us whom was in the army would state and udder there words you did here.I am a atheist as well, but your words are more-less built upon anger and violence. I can probably take you down in less then 5 seconds. But, I also have a mature and intelligent way of thinking. to say you joined the army to kill religonists is immature and fkn rude. you must be amarican

  • Re: NAMBLA, they have the right to *think* whatever they want. They do not have the right to put their opinions into action. That is where the line is drawn.

  • I served in the Navy for 7 years as an atheist. There are many more but they do not speak up often enough because of Christian beleaguering.

  • I'm a "Civvie", though in my line of work I've faced armed robbers 6 times & never given in & I fought back every time...Chasing them down and coming out from secured areas, (Though how I'd react when facing chronic fire 24/7 I have no idea, and the very thought freaks me out!!). Anyway, I 'do' WW2 re-enacting and I've known many WW2 vets, (incl. Axis), and they've all spoken about 'friendship and respect'. I've read the bible and can't recall those words being mentioned! Total respect to MAAF!

  • What channel on the radio is this

  • Thanks guys this has been a lot of help

  • @funnyvidssnet A lot of help for what? Ignorance to your creator?

  • <-former military member AND atheist. And I always had "foxholes" refered to as fighting holes.

  • Several years ago, up until 2010, the U.S. army occupied a valley in Aghanistan called the Korengal. This was detailed in the film Restrepo by Sebastian Junger and Tim Hetherington and Junger's book War, there were about 150 men at the Korengal outpost and affiliated outposts, and they saw about 20% of all the combat in Afghanistan. Evidenced in this book and film, religion is the last thing on the minds of men experiencing the true war.

  • @Tangelojim, sadly, our guys are back in the Korengal. Makes me sick.

  • Only non-believers truly fight for their lives, everyone else thinks they'll get a second chance or a fun after-party.

  • I'm an Athiest... back when i was in drafted i was a Vegetarian too. Funny our armed Forces cook seperate meals for Jews and Muslims... But there was no Vegetarian Food to choose... Whenever we had to go to a fieldmess... my comrades with other than christian beliefs got other dutys or even had time to spare... me on the other side i had to go to the mess with all the others...

  • I am an atheist in the military and I love this video. A1C USAF

  • I am leaning more towards atheism but don't want to accidentally go the wrong way. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • @funnyvidssnet the only person that can help you is you. you have to make this decision yourself.

  • @funnyvidssnet also check out the 'journey of man', 'who wrote the bible', ..check out history- Constantine, st Paul - the self proclaimed apostle, martin Luther, etc. Also, READ the bible :-) and consider there is no hell or proof of it. And remember when you found out santa didn't exist? Its kinds like that. Hope this helps, keep learning.

  • @tulipsontheorgan Yep... ! Spot on!!!

In my late 30's I studied history and as my dissertation, (mainly because of where I was living), I analysed Germanic influences on the UK, (& thus now the USA).

Despite my analytical (and always anti-theist) mind, I can still recall when I was literally stopped in my tracks when it dawned on me Santa was SOOOOO Thor!!

Jesus, I'd assumed, everyone would one day doubt... but Santa was so 'friendly & fun' I'd never realised he'd once been a god too!

  • @RohypGnosis What the fuck are you talking about? That's so ignorant.

  • @Gregl2013 Sorry, it makes sense to me :D... Please let me know what bit you'd like me to explain and I'll be very happy to do so. :)

  • @tulipsontheorgan lol... The Bible is for interpretation. It has been rewritten so many times over the past 2000 years that it's not even the word of God anymore. I love how you atheists criticize it when it has been corrupt and rewritten so many times. Look in your own heart for God. Not the bible. There is definitely a higher power. The idea of nothing existing, and then blowing up, doesn't make a whole lot of sense....

  • @funnyvidssnet ... My wife (loooking over my shoulder!) has just said she'll let me take a snap of her in her bra holding up a sign saying "Hang on in there Funnyvidssnet" if it helps!?! She says if you decide to throw it away then god (or "institutonal fear of") wins, but if it brings an innocent(!) smile to any there then you've evidently evolved quite normally and 'balls' to the fear of 'sin!!

[Err... Unfortunately I'm now very jealous and am not so sure what's going on :-/ ]

  • Hey guys I'm having trouble w my beliefs.

I don't know whether or not I believe in god and find that the YouTube don't usually adress these people very well. Please help!

  • @funnyvidssnet Forget everything others tell you. Stand back from what you've been told to accept and ask yourself if it makes sense. It didn't for me. Not at all.

  • @funnyvidssnet Check out Hitchens or Sam Harris, two brilliant minds. RIP Hitch

  • @funnyvidssnet God does exist. There is no proof that he doesn't. Atheists can't prove that there is no higher power. And besides, since death is the only thing promised in life, why would you want to look forward to an endless void after death? What if you are wrong about God?

  • @Gregl2013 "Atheists can't prove that there is no higher power"... Surely it's for you, (and believers of the other 2999 or so gods worshipped across the globe), to provide the proof? To date there is none. So... Please tell me why your chosen god is 'the one' and the other 2999 are not? ... and could we pop you in a room with a believer in one of the others. You could sit opposite each other and use exactly the same arguments/'proof' against each other for ever... Total stalemate :D

  • two words PAT TILLMAN!!!

  • As an atheist I think it is the only philosophy that even allows one to fight for a cause by military means. If I'd believe in any kind of 'maker' I'd belief that it is his (or her) right, duty and reponsability, to set the things the way he (or she) would want them to be and that no man would have the right to interfere.

  • At 34:25, his superior was Darth Vader...

  • @TheImpeacher What a douche

  • Depending on which religious text you refer to God contradicts himself constantly. To kill one set offenders he stopped the sun in the sky and held it there until every man woman and child who offended him were slaughtered. When I was first in combat I never even thought about anything other than surviving. But when flying by a village and shooting their cows and mowing down anyone who fired back on us then firing rockets into huts and areas where people hid, I could FEEL that was wrong.

  • As I am someone who takes pride in thinking about my action and taking responsibility for it, I cannot follow orders. As military cannot function without orders, I can not serve as a soldier.

  • @Hymeteron This is personal responsibility, I wish everyone had this, but most people are sheep individually, and wolves when in a group. So they take turns, slaughtering, or being slaughtered.

  • why is every comment a Reply?

  • Some of you may not remember the Draft? When told I was killing for God and Country and I was abused constantly for not accepting that God and Country are one and the same. They are not. I love the country not the people in it. I have no belief in God and saw without any doubt there was no good God involved. Who is it that God is on everyone's side but you still get killed for nothing.

  • @Kelebrinlith: I never understood how christians can kill anyway. If I understood anything from their book, than that it is forbidden to kill other human beings, isn't it?

  • @Hymeteron The 6th commandment decrees that the Hebrews couldn't murder. killing is sometimes necessary (eliminating evil people), Murder is the taking of innocent life.

  • @MP7A3 And who's life is innocent?

  • @Hymeteron It varies person to person, different cultures, creeds, and beliefs. There isn't one answer as to who is "innocent" Good is but a point of view.

  • @MP7A3 Therefore everyone can consinder the other as not innocent one way or the other. Therefore everyone is allowed to be killed. Therefore this whole "moral high horse" of the religiuos is a pile of crap!! It is totally useless to even discuss their religion with the religious. They will not come to reason just by discussing their beliefs. If that even would be possible, the human race had abandoned religion centuries ago. So... what is left to do?

  • I'd imagine that contractors and people who have an indirect link to the military try to push religion on army recruits in order to cultivate a strong mental aptitude for morale. I imagine that drilling people to believe that there is a heaven and you will get there if you die is comforting when your exposed to life threatening situations. While an atheist, is more inclined to believe that nothing happens after you die, which would give his life more value. There is no safety net in case he die.

  • @3dwardcullen69 "Gott mit uns!"

  • Just wanted to send a shout out to the Radio Host about his comments at the beginning of the show regarding his respect for the opinions of soldiers of all nations in the world. Respect from the Canadian Infantry brother, keep on rocking!

  • My sister is in the Air Force and I am very proud of her! She really is a MILF (LESBIAN INCEST!!!) And seriously, as a disabled woman, I rely on my government and value what it has given me during my long years of recovery! So whoever wants to bash our freedoms and social services I want to say FUCK YOU!

  • 58:44 if your friends think you're evil for being atheist they're not your friends...

  • @hyptbh Today's wars are believed to be caused by big companies looking to make big money...of course...that is Zeitgiest mentality... On the other hand, if we didn't have soldiers willing to fight for our dreams and ideals, we'd just roll over and let the next country take us over. We HAVE to be willing to fight. Yes, the current war(s) do not effect most of us directly, but if we want to stay on top, we have to be willing to fight or die because this world was made by a violent God IMO

  • Would an atheist join the military even if they dislike/disagree their own country's "reasons" to war(s) that you may participate in?

  • I'm an atheist, but I have no idea why would any atheist would volunteer to join the military, not trying to degrade the military and their sacrifice but logically an atheist joining the military where you put a $ dollar sign on your life and cheaply too... not worth it for me... if I believed in a god(s) then sure I'll do it, why not, I'm heading to heaven why not get a good pay off? What if the military gave no benefits or any money, would any atheist logically choose to join the military?

  • @Snakekilla12 to defend what's left of our freedom.

  • @merykwalker okay okay, lets assume you're an atheist who is a super liberal and is against killing and doesn't believe in war at all... like most super libs... defending our freedom, okay when we're clearly being attacked by country.... not a cult terrorist group.

  • @merykwalker

I feel deep pity for anyone who still buys "the troops defend our freedom". It's honestly right on par with many religious claims, maybe even a bit more stupid.

  • Comment removed

  • @SSTTEEAALLTTHH Just as a body maintaining homeostasis needs its white blood cells, a prosperous country needs its military.

  • Comment removed

  • @merykwalker

What would a body be without a brain controlling all it's functions? Hence we need a dictatorship in society?

    That's a naturalist fallacy.

  • @SSTTEEAALLTTHH well, a brain is made up of three major parts: the neocortex, the limbic system, and the reptilian. reminiscent of three branches of government. anyways, you're jump from brain controlling major functions to dictatorship was not a sound argument, because the brain is made of up multiple parts that act differently, just like a government is capable of having a system of checks and balances.

  • i don't know what every one thinks while watching this but i just want to say that god is real and he want from us is to worship him and do good to all human kinds and spread peace and knowledge of god existence because we all responsible of telling other, and that's not going 2happen because of atheists and Zionist? but wait it is going to happen because god exist Muslims,Christian,Jewish is still exist and im talking to the 1s who know what are those names,my guess is Muslims are going to do it

  • @nas4good In my honest opinion if god/gods exist he/they are either ignorant or malevolent because of their ignorance or willfully so. Or they are so apathetically neutral that he wouldn't intervene on anyone/anything's behalf even if its existence was threatened. If spreading the knowledge of God involves violence then what "good" does it do? Oh wait, it's like everyone in the past has done: made a people accept their God/gods at the end of a shotgun barrel.... I get it...

  • maintainer in kadena... WOW i feel bad for you! haha

  • so if the christians have sunday off, and the muslims have saturday off, I guess no one fights at the weekends in afghanistan

  • (1/2) in response to the first guest, i had a rather similar experience while going through tech school (crew chief). my class had a civilian instructor who would often jump on opportunities to shove jesus down our throat. he once spent a good hour talking about how to get into heaven and how to be saved blah blah blah, and he justified it by saying "all these things im teaching you about the F15 are cool and all, but the most important thing i can teach you is the word of the all mighty".

  • (2/2) Im not going to act like military personnel would never do it, but it is much less common because we know what kind of trouble we can get into. i also have trouble with thinking of air force (or any branch really) chaplains as real officers. i personally think that they should not be a part of our military, and even if they are, they should only be part of our military as civilian contractors

  • I served in silence for 4 years.

  • The "military" has joined the BORG. I'm not even going to listen to this episode. Wars are orchestrated events by the wealthy to gain more power and control and I see those who join them as mercenaries, traitors against all humanity. Most of our brutal self-serving fascist police now come directly from the military.

Restricting what people may say about wars during this show is a violation of free speech because you are fascinated by aggression.

Go ahead, admire them. Just leave me out of it.

  • @t4705mb6 Oh and let me guess... you believe Zeitgiest? The fact is, there are some very good, dedicated people in the military who don't know what to believe. Most of them are required to perform some sort of religious act, whether it be praying or attending church, regardless as to what they truly believe. I don't see them as traitors. Most of them are very respectable people, moreso than backwater conspiracy-theorists who are just talking smack because they don't understand...

  • @LadySorrowIshana When you enter the military you give up every right to "think". EVERY aspect of your life becomes a "privilege". If you join the military you're subject to a superior's orders from THEIR superiors.

Your life is NOT yours. If you are married, your family's life is not THEIR own because it is subject to your ....ORDERS.

Anyone entering the armed services who does not understand this is either dim or running scared from something they deem worse.....or both.

  • If you need a paragraph to express yourself, then you're dum.

  • @Slumpnasty dumb*

  • @Slumpnasty You're so dumb you can't spell dumb while you call someone dumb. What else can you expect from a dirty atheist. Hope you get some coal for Christmas, it'll give you an idea of what you can expect after you die.

  • @TheDebaser14 Better go pray and repent because someone just broke a commandment.

  • well done richard tilman for speaking up for his dead brother and stopping the god squad from upstaging his farewell. shameless cunts these people, absolutely shameless. the true tilman story would make a great movie with all due respect to his family,am sure they would be happy to see him portrayed as a freethinking hero /soldier.

  • Don't worry, you will find out once they start a war on Iran. you will get to experience 'all' of those things.

  • I'm former USMC, no combat experience, and I recall in boot camp wanting to skip church after all the years of going in my youth. It was a crappier time at the barracks if you didn't go, so their was some pressure, but our religion was on our dog tags. Boot camp church was the best church ever. Intense good energy and not so gospel-ish singing. Never went after boot camp and never heard a word about religion from anybody. It was the early 1980's.

  • The "what are you going to do when wake up after you've died and you're in heaven" question makes me laugh. If atheists go to heaven, then surely the christians aren't right either!

  • The idea of going into war not for a policy or ideology but rather for your friends and squadmates is a subject of a book called "Battle: a History of Combat" and they talk about the difference between an "army of honor" and an "army of virtue"- a virtue army being defined as motivated by higher goals and popular support, while an army of honor being defined by loyalty to comrades and motivated by that and personal betterment, with country being secondary. Just felt like throwing that in.

  • I'm sorry, but I cracked up when that Ray guy from the navy said "You're lack of faith is disturbing."

  • I cannot support anyone who chooses to support or work for the state. This includes but is not limited to teachers, police officers, soldiers, politicians and the beaurocrats.

  • @vegetta00 Why is that? You want a stupid, lawless, defenseless country?

  • @timmyjunior1 excellent response :-D

  • @timmyjunior1 Stupid? Public schools are nothing more than babysitting concentration camps. Lawless? What is a law but a violent solution to society`s problems? Defensless? Who that is capable of attacking the US would attack the US? Not China, Russia or any of the Euro nations. Especially with the existence of nuclear weapons and the fact that the first world nations are economically reliant upon eachother. I have no problem taking up arms. I need not the gov`t to ensalve me.

  • @vegetta00 I can personally guarantee you if I never attended public school i wouldn't be able to spell out this sentence. The law is most often, non-violent. Imagine us without laws? It would be awful. The government doesn't "enslave" you. You sound like some 16 year old anarchist who doesn't know any better, now grow up.

  • @timmyjunior1 Ad-hominem? The law IS violence. You cannot solve sociol and economic issues with violence. The law is violence and the threat of violence to keep people in line under the gov`t. So long as we are taxed, we are enslaved. I own myself, thus I own my labor, I own the fruit of my labor. But the gov`t through the illusion of authority claims a right to seize our property (money). And the elitists (politicians) claim to know best what to do with our money.

  • @vegetta00

Protest the use of the funds, protest the cases of violence, but trust me, you do not want the removal of Gov.

Without it who do you know your doctor is qualified? You Medicine safe? Where would the freeways come from? What would stop me from enslaving you literaly rather than the figurative exageration you are doing?

You don;t seem to be thinking out the full course of what you purpose

  • @whiteowl1415 Are you proposing that only by means of gov`t can a society have a system to identify qualified professionals, medicine, roads and security? 2000 years ago, people lacked answers and so they defaulted on a supernatural explanation. Just b/c YOU cannot see how a society can function w/o a gov`t does not mean there isn`t a means. And while you are still ignorant to those means, gov`t is not a substitution or default answer to such things.

  • @vegetta00: If it is not a government it is a similar system that regulates and sents the standards and takes care that laws are followed. There is no society without it and those who come close to no regulation at all.. well, take a look at Africa..

  • Comment removed

  • @MsHyde1 Whoops. My apologies. I thought you and another individual were the same person. My bad. You`re right, you never called me emo. Sorry.

  • @vegetta00

No matter what you do, there will be a government....because polotics abhors a vacume as much as nature does.

Without a stable government in place, someone will see it as an oportunity to impose thier will on the masses through brute force.

I see how a society CAN function without gov, but it returns you to a states to trade and barter. you pressume a utopia that human nature is incapable of allowing for.

  • @whiteowl1415 I would argue that anarchy is inevitable. But I would have to go into the science of the effects of violence upon the brain, particularly in children and thus parenting. That aside, in the absence of gov`t, a society now has the means of communication to organize against a regime or warlord. Soon, when the majority of humanity realizes the concept of self-ownership and property rights, they will recognize gov`t as violence and oppose it.

  • @vegetta00

Sorry my dear fellow, but as a history teacher, I can tell you that such conditions have only ever proven effective on a small scale and cannot hold on the larger scale of today's world.

Regardless of communication, without taxes you have no way o fund public works (Yes taxes are being abused and need to be checked)

Without some sort of police force, imagine what would hapen in a riot over a sports team outcome

Gov needs heavy limits, but cannot be removed completely

  • @whiteowl1415 "Cannot hold on the larger scale" - how do you know? What public works cannot be provided by the private sector? If a society wants a particular program...members of that society WILL make it happen and can do so without violence. Taxation is theft is violence.

Riots - a symptom of an abused population.

Gov`t will not be removed by force, but it will eventually be ignored and dismissed.

  • @vegetta00

"What public works cannot be provided by the private sector?"

I think you are missing the point of the current political issues. Public works held by the private sector going bad is why the bailouts hapened that are causing problems.

Were people as honest as you seem to think they are, it could work, but they arn't.

Without a Gov here, what is to stop another nations gov from invading?

Tax is not theft, its payment for services rendered.

  • @whiteowl1415 "Payment for services rendered." Chicken or the egg - those services could not have come about without first having been paid for by stolen money.

People are not honest - so let`s not give them a vehicle such as the gov`t to use dishonestly.

The gov`t is the factor that led to the economic crash - fiat currency is based on nothing and backed by violence.

Police - laws exist now, that doesn`t keep people from killing/raping/stealing. Law/police as a solution fails.

  • @vegetta00

Sorry, but with every post you prove yourself angry and uneducated in history.

Someday, people may reach a point that they can elf govern, but lets address this...

Assuming that there is no gov...What religion is going to be the main one?

People arn't going to give them up. Churches will ogrinize against each other. Christians will kill "sinners", Muslims wil kill "Infedels"

    Anarchy = Chaos

    Chaos = Destruction

If you can't see it, you're a shortsighted fool

  • @whiteowl1415 The number of agnostics in the population is growing and will continue to grow. Even many christians are only theists on sundays/holidays. Even with govt churches still organize against eachother. The govt does not stop violence.

    Govt = violence

    Violence begets violence.

And right now Govt IS the main religion. It IS the neo-god.

    Pope - President

    Clergy - politicians

    Bible - Constitution

    Tithing - Taxing

God threatens soul with hell. Govt threatens life with prison.

  • @vegetta00

"The number of agnostics in the population is growing and will continue to grow"

True enough, and maybe, someday we will be byond the need for a Gov. but with the way people are now, that time is still along way off.

More importantly, as you speak of individuals working together for policy and civil projects, you are really just talking about a diferent type of Gov, not NO gov.

You are talking about a direct democracy, as Athens had once

  • @whiteowl1415 Cont`d - I am talking about no govt I am proposing that society seek non-violent solutions to address socio-economic problems. I am in support of anarcho-capitalism. I am calling the gov`t out for what it is. Violence. I am declaring that violence is wrong. That it cannot solve social issues and that it begets violence. Not only do I not support violence in all its forms, but I oppose it. Even if anarchy is a long way off, it starts like this. Over a conversation.

  • @vegetta00

I agree with opposition of iolence, I don't even swat flys and I gently move spiders outside.

Yes, the gov is overly violent.

    Yes, it needs FIXED

    No it dosn't need removed.

Not everyone is as pasive as we are. Remove the law you get terror.

Taxes are needed, but yes they should be tightly reigned in and government held highly accountable for every penny

You offer to trade one extreme for another

I say fix it and return to what the Gov was meant to be.

  • @whiteowl1415 I respect your opinion and I would never dream of using violence to sway your position. I hope would afford me the same respect. I want to withhold my consent to your plan (in other words, I wish to withhold my money from your gov`t) but if I do I will be met with violence. I stand by my original statement - I do not support anyone who works for the state, especially those who enter into violence on the state`s behalf. i.e. soldiers and police.

  • @whiteowl1415

    search: zeitgeist moving forward

i like the way you think brother

  • @vegetta00

You might also want to take a look at teh constitution.

The 18th Amendment is the only one that limited the people, the others limit gov.

And it is no coincidence that the 18th is also the only one repealed.

Tell me, in your No Gov setup...Who determines if a person is qualified to perform surgury?

  • @whiteowl1415 I could theorize on how a person in an anarchic society would determine who is qualified for what but it doesn`t matter. Abolishionists once had a conversation about slavery. One asked, but who will pick the cotton and what will the blacks do for jobs, food, housing, etc. To which the other replied, "I don`t know how it will work out, all I know is slaver is wrong." We are but livestock on a taxfarm, slaves to the gov`t. It is wrong and must be abolished.

  • @vegetta00

"If a society wants a particular program...members of that society WILL make it happen and can do so without violence"

What if part of the society wants it and part dosn't? The second that happens your nonviolence ends.

How do you think the gays would be treated were there not laws protecting them now? As is they get several murdered per year. What would happen without police to stop that?

  • @vegetta00

Actually, taxation is more like robbery than theft. Theft implies you either swindled someone out of money or went behind his back to steal it. Robbery is when you threaten someone with violence to give their money to you.

  • @SSTTEEAALLTTHH Ah, so true, sir. I stand corrected.

  • @vegetta00 Let me guess vegetta you're one of those "I take all the benefits of this republican democracy and the wonderful freedoms it offers but I am totally ungrateful for everything that it gives me," sort of people. You distrust the laws and the police who regulate it so it makes me suspicious that you might not be the most honest yourself. And while I do distrust many aspects of this country, I do not allow that to make me a hater like you. You are an emo kid to me.

  • @LadySorrowIshana What does the gov`t do for us that we cannot do for ourselves, what society or a community cannot do for itself without the use of violence? Taxation is violence. The ONLY benefits/freedoms I experience are not those that the gov`t provides for me, but those that I have by default and the gov`t has not taken from me. I distrust anyone who cannot see past violence as a solution to socio-economic problems. Gov`t IS enslavement, violence, it must be opposed.

  • @vegetta00 This is because you are basically "cutting" yourself over some sort of inner pain or suffering that you mentally apply to yourself in order to make you "feel" the pain better. You are looking for an outlet for your pain. In this case it's that nefarious phrase: "The Government!" OH NOES IT'S OUT TO GET YOU! This is because you don't realize the great benefits our government provides us due to the fact that you have likely never set foot outside your own country...

  • @vegetta00: Yeah, you own the fruit of your labor but please then do not take advantage of a highly advanced, socially and physically secure, healthy and pleaceful society. if You don't want regulartion and laws then I strongly advice you move to a remote area in Africa, work as a farmer and don't complain when raped, killed, discriminated and please don't expect help when you get ill or close to starving. And while you are at it please ditch your computer..

  • @vegetta00: ..since regulation made the high scientific standards through which it was created and the economic regulartions through which it was made available possible. ^_^

WTF is up with that shit? Who the hell are these people? Members of megachurchowners sending people to keep the flock in line as to protect their corporate investments with Halliburtor or some fucked up scheme like that?

It's even worse than i thought......

  • I'll probably misquote or something...

But it went something like, The argument there are no atheists in foxholes isn''t an argument against atheism but an argument against foxholes

I think that sums it all up but feel free to correct me when misquoting

  • @sonykroket

James Morrow - "'There are no atheists in foxholes' isn' t an argument against atheism, it's an argument against foxholes."

You pretty much nailed it =)
