  • This looks like fun even without the gold. What could be better than a long swim in a fresh water open stream?

  • Great video! Imagine how much lead and mercury was removed from the riverbed. Gold is just a bonus!

  • Hey mrfish40 and vancouverbluz1 your both stupid he is doing a good deed for the enviorment. The world's fish population is dying due to over fishing, poisoning the waters with our damm polution, lead and mercuring piosoning and many other this, mates, lol. Your both stupider than stupid and dummer than the dummest.

  • It all adds up ,some great looking gold!

  • I like it ! Great video !!

  • Nice video how much did you take for the season?

  • where is this?im looking for a place to pan for gold in portland oregon?

  • Great shots of the operation! Glad you found some gold, too.

    .

Unfortunately, dredging has been banned in Commie-Fornia, so now all I can do is watch other people do it on YouTube.

  • How lucky you are to be able to dredge, here in Australia its been 15 years since I had my dredge working... damm green vote put a stop to all dredging. City slickers have no idea how conservative we are on nature. We love the bush and looking for gold. I had a crazy lady get the police because I was muddying the water. Hello what happens when there is a flood?. Funny about that. So I take my cap off to you, and wish you good luck.

  • love the country views I gave up diving for gold a long time ago but will remember as being some of my best times in life . I remember dropping my weight belt as fast as I could when one of those giant salamanders came out of the hole I was dredging in right in to my face mask,h looked a whole lot bigger then he was.

  • @infinity2012shelter Ha ah! I agree! Best time have been under water!

  • @whistlingbooger Man, I'm jealous.I have been a dredger for the last 8 years. I have never had as much fun or been as passionate about another sport as I am about dredging and prospecting in general. Too bad I live in California where fat checks from Indian Casinos can put an end to all that fun. It's also too bad there are so many uninformed folks like vancouverbluz out there. I wish they could see the schools of fish hanging around the bottom of my sluice all day. We are not doing any harm.

  • NICE DREDGE ON MY FRIEND

  • Your right Vancouver! nothing worse than removing the sediments logging and erosion put in the streams, nothing worse than taking hard packed streambed material and loosing it up so fish "can" use it to spawn in, Your right! nothing worse than removing lead and mercury from the systems! Good thing you pointed these facts out! thanks!! Donk!

  • @mrfish40 briliant, well said.

  • nice video. when I'm stuck at home its nice watching videos to get me pumped up for next time im out

  • @vancouverbluz1 It may look bad to some, But the fish sure like the new ground for spawning! Maybe, I should make a video following up in the spring when the steelhead are in the river. The miners I know all care about the land more than the average Joe. You wouldn't believe the amount of garbage I have taken from tthe rivers not including lead and mercury. ..Sorry to get so wound up. It really is a great way to enjoy this land.

  • @vancouverbluz1 hey meat head! keep that bogus stuff to yourself. no proof exist of dredging on this scale damaging "the riparian enviroment" and don't even start on siltation.

    Feeling nothing but love,

  • @vancouverbluz1 ,You are an Idiot, plain and simple.

  • dems gold in dem hills!

  • Nice video and nice set up. How much does it cost you guys to have a claim over there?

  • I enjoyed the U/W shots. Congratulations on that fine-looking 6! You have some nice looking gold. Did you find any specimens?

    Heavy Pans!

  • @riverbender Thanks, There was only a few over a dwt. But lots of +20 mesh!

  • They say "gold is where you find it" ...I guarantee you will find more if you move boulders...

  • Cold and fun..

I remember the first "clunker" I saw and plucked from the bedrock..then another and another and another...after awhile you would just suck them up and keep going.

Only good thing about the cold water was the finger smashing didn't hurt..untill you got out and warmed up. It's so much nicer with a full face mask in the equipement dept and at least a 4" dredge minimum for a decent size creek and the all important powered winch and blocks.

  • did you buy or build your dredge?

  • That's my home made 6"

  • looks like you need to repaint the five more min. on the nozel but with color in the cracks like that i shure wouldn't.

  • Thanks for sharing it with us. I would prefer to hear you talking about the event instead of background music. You can do music intro and exit if you must have it. Nice not to hear the banjo though. Just a non-solicited opinion you know but thanks again.

  • Thanks, The music was not planned. I did have some music but YouTube cencored it so the whole audio was cut out. My only option was to use one of their soundtracks. Well, Back to moving rocks!

  • great video, gotta start my grubstake!

  • Great video! Keep them coming.

  • Sorry, The audio was censored! I guess one of the backing tracks was copyrighted. My bad!

  • Bah, no audio! YouTube is mean.

Looks like a lot of fun though!
