This is a very fine piece of editing. You've totally captured it. It's also interesting that Lou wrote the song when he was drying out from alcohol (in his own words "I tried to give up drugs by drinking") and that Paul Schrader was on a huge bender when he wrote "Taxi Driver" - according to the book "Easy riders, Raging Bulls" anyway. Brilliant stuff!
