@wintersoldier546 I wouldn't say I can't handle what is in the city. However, I can't stand what is city has to offer. I can and do handle everything in the city... but that doesn't change the fact that it is a horrible city to live in and the people there are inconsiderate and annoying.
@ToxicTurquoise454 I've never been to England but I guarantee you are right. Norfolk, Va is a terrible place to live. The traffic is awful, the people are rude, and Norfolk is ghetto.
In Your City .. have you noticed ... The City Workers are riding around "tagging" people houses for ANYTHING... If your Grass is too high, or you have a car in your yard, you didn't pull your trash can in by 7pm, you need paint on your dormers over your door...ect ... And more and more police are on force and stopping people left and right.
I was stationed here when I was in the Navy and I enjoyed the area for the most part. Was that C-5 Galaxy taking off from the Navy Air Station? That was an interesting shot of it.
I was stationed here in norgolk also, i was aboard the uss enterprise(cvn65). i got out at the end of 2006 but i have not been back since then but boy do i miss it. i use to live over in norfolk on military hwy in an apt complex called oakmont apts..
I got out of the Navy in 1999 and I haven't been back to Norfolk since then. It doesn't seen like 10 years already. I was stationed on the USS George Washington and USS America. I rented an apartment at Brittany Place which is by Military highway and I-64. Good times.
I was an AZ3 (Aviation Maintnence Adminastrative man) i originally came in undesignated and i was assigned to the weapons department of G-3 but i struck the AZ rate on the test and picked up 3rd my first time up for. and what rate were u?
I was an ABH. I made 3rd my first time up and then, after active duty, I went into the Naval Reserves and eventually made
2nd. I was originally undesignated but went to A school after my first ship decommissioned. I didn't like my rate, and that was part of the reason why I got out. I'm in the Air National Guard right now and I work as an Aerospace Ground Support Tech. the same thing as an AS in the Navy.
hey, i was actually wondering, what is the navy reserves about? me and my friend were actually thinking about joining it but we really dont know alot about it. could u give me a run down of it and the pros and cons of it? thanks
My unit was a Naval Air Reserve unit but they lost their flying mission in the early 90s. We didn't have much to do and it was kind of a waste of time. I remember sitting around alot and doing bullshit stuff to stay busy. It all depends on what kind of unit you go to and what they do. Sea Bees might not be so bad. If you get into an air reserve unit that flies aircraft, that might be alright too. I'd locate a unit close to where you live and try to get as info you can on what its like.
i was born here
