  • HES A COPY

  • like they didn't make Star Trek in space!

  • yeah they film it on jupiter station and have an enterprise floating around it FACEPALM

  • Isn't this the Porn-version of Star Trek ? I remember the Actor that plays as Cpt. Picard.

  • @DrMabuuse AFAIK, yes, BUT he was only there for the DIALOGUE scenes. For the porn...think ORGAZMO. "STUNT COCK!"

  • I clicked on this, because the thumbnail image looked like Picard.

  • @jb42682 Office chairs!

  • Who shrunk this guy's head?

  • I met Giles Aston at a convention a few years back. Awesome dude :D

  • "What am I while you are still alive? A shadow? An Echo?"

    "Nope, neither, just a look-a-like I'm afraid."

  • hey its Moby!

  • I really thought that was Patrick, haha!

  • show some respect and get off the bridge you fat fucks

  • Oh shit, I thought that was Patrick Stewart.

  • Wow! You have Picard down-pat.

  • Any man can shave his head and put on a Picard uniform. It takes real talent to SOUND like him. Bravo, good sir.

  • press the engage button

  • Arbroath??? Thats where I was born, gonna check this out

  • Britian just grows bald guys with that accent like apples.

  • Why do I have the feeling that I'm watching bloopers of a Trek porno?

  • That wasn't Patrick Stewart?!?!?!? Amazing! Even when he was "goofing around" he sounded just like him

  • Well, the red button, obviously... it's always the red button.

  • Was this the stunt double that allowed safe passage for picard to appear on sesame street?

  • @thadea :-D

  • No button there can be self destruct..... you need the officer in command + another commanding officer to enter their codes and confirm a count down to self destruct.

  • You should have played Shinzon in Star Trek Nemesis! Tom Hardy did not resemble Patrick Stewart in any way. Did anybody of the producers approach you?

Oh, and btw is there any picture where you stand next to Patrick Stewart (no photoshop fakes).

  • @Exverlobter Thanks very much, sadly they didn't contact me.

No, I haven't got a photo of Patrick and I... maybe one day?

  • @Exverlobter I agree. Tom Hardy was an epic fail as young Picard.

  • I'm rather new to the whole star trek fan-video thing. From the thumbnail, I thought it was Patrick Stewart so i thought this was an outtake or something. In the end, Mr. Giles Aston sure looks like Stewart, tho significantly younger.

  • @Sonneilon6 Thanks for the compliment... much appreciated!

  • not the red button.. NOT THE RED ONE!!!

  • wow that guy HAS to be a Stewart's cousin or something.

also what the heck is this that they're filming? never heard of it

  • @waldoman7 Not related at all. We were filming 'The Stone Unturned' with Starship Intrepid in Dundee.

  • @Captjeanlucpicard well yes I can read video descriptions but I have no clue what any of the proper nouns in that sentence are.

  • @waldoman7 Ok, it's a Star Trek fan-film called The Stone Unturned, it was shot a couple of years ago in Dundee, with a fan group called Starship Intrepid. This is just a comical out-take, the final release is due this year.

  • @Captjeanlucpicard The lengths to which star trek fans go is rather astounding. I suppose some of it is likely as good if not better than the sometimes dubious newer star trek gens, but I wouldn't know where to start looking for it.

  • @waldoman7 There are many fan groups world-wide: Intrepid, Phase II, Exeter, Faragut, Of Gods and Men, Odyssey etc. Check out Wiki: Star Trek fan productions!

  • Giles, I thought your acting in the XXX was fantastic! Was it an interest in the series that made you want to pursue the role? And how was hanging around with the rest of the cast? Do you have any funny stories?

  • @Rogami Thanks very much! It was a real eye-opening experience... I have many amusing stories ;-)

  • Oh, crap, many others have already said the same. See what happens when you post before you read?

  • Not only looks like, but SOUNDS like!!

  • Which seat do I take?

  • Press button "Facepalm"

  • @Captjeanlucpicard Where could one find more info on this production?

  • They should have used Aston for the role of Shinzon in Nemesis. He looks a LOT more like Patrick Stewart than Tom Hardy did!

  • @nuck97 Thank you!

  • @nuck97 hell, he even sounds more like him

  • @nuck97 Heh I was thinking the exact same thing

From a distance, it does look like Patrick

  • @nuck97 I believe they even considered Shinzon being a double role for Stewart.

Although Hardy doesn't look a lot similar to him, for me it was a great choice. I think he understood the ST universe and it's shakespearean feeling and thus played Shinzon accordingly more theatrically.

  • He totally looks like Steward...sounds like him too. Wow!!!

  • is he ment to be picard??

  • bad acting.. freaking smiling his face off!

  • @redking15ca Thanks for your comment... it was a light-hearted improvised scene filmed during rehearsals, the final take was actually quite serious.

  • @Captjeanlucpicard As long as it's quite serious, then!

  • great(!) george lucas filmmaking...

  • Ok, I'm now officially a Giles Aston fan.

  • @AshtonPhoto: thank you, most kind... please view my latest work: Captain Cocktail!

  • @Captjeanlucpicard I haven't seen it yet for obvious reasons but they didn't have you do porn scenes in the latest xxx parody did they? lol seems like a career killer to me.

  • @StargateMunky 'Captain Cocktail' makes cocktails... nothing lewd there. Yes I also did an XXX Parody, but I didn't get my kit off... I had a stunt man! :-) Career safe!!

  • @Captjeanlucpicard awesome acting btw. you really come out with a passion for the role

  • @StargateMunky thanks dude, much appreciated.

  • Interestingly, Wil Wheaton actually made up his own button combinations for certain commands at his con station, which he says he did to provide consistency.

It is likely that Brent Spiner did also but I have no quote to confirm this.

  • @AshtonPhoto: Good point... interesting and informative... I look forward to the time that we can all customize our consoles!

  • @AshtonPhoto i don't know where i saw it , but just a couple days ago , i was watching something about the character data and Brent Spiner said that he came up with his own style and for close ups on his hands they had another actor and Brent said that they worked closely together to make sure it was consistent .

  • It doesn't matter what button you push. The consoles are customized to the user so you can have your button wherever you want. DUH!!!

just kidding about the duh part lol

  • you know.that guy should play the captain of the next Enterprise even further in the future, not as J.L Picard but as desendant of him,he sure looks alot like him! occaisionally family names are able to carrie on in sertain places, know what i mean?

  • Scotland rulez lol

  • Oh yeah sure, press the self-destruct button at the last second

    lol

  • bald dude is cute

  • U guys in Scotland or England? I swear I heard a fellow Jock XD

  • Correct! Scotland... Dundee, mostly Scottish cast/production.

  • That's indeed Dundee :D

And he is taller than I thought he would be :

Chief D'Gor to to Picard : "I thougth you were smaller"

  • @ledartagnan :-D

  • r they making new star trek??

  • Right click, open file...

  • Wow, he looks so much like Patrick Stewart it's freakin' eerie

  • the one by the computer panel sounds and sorta looks like Patrick Stewart

  • Wow looks just like him....

  • completely perfect look alike and act alike. fantastic

  • Wow, that wasn't too bad as a Picard look-alike. Nice job ppl.

  • lol thi is really embarassing

  • is that john stuwart? he sounds just like him.

  • @djdj165 :-D

  • @Captjeanlucpicard ha ha I love star trek comidie

  • I've seen the bald guy at a few UK sci-fi conventions. Awesome :D

  • Let us just pretend Star Trek: Nemesis never happened.

  • Shinzon looked a bit like Picard (although he didn't sound like him), but the most annoying incontinuity in Nemesis, I thought, was that ridiculous picture of Picard at the academy. What the fuck was he some kind of skinhead?? He still had plenty of hair all those years ago! He even had hair when Jack died! Do the writers just forget these things? Or am I just an obsessive freak...?

  • @mithol no that bothered me too, i mean the episode that i remember most was tapestry when he was a freshman and had hair, I dont know Star Trek writers and producers looked like they had just given up at this point, thank god for jj thats all i can say least he has given us something to look forward to

  • @mithol

Where Q sent Picard back in time to when he got stabbed in the heart and received a mechanical heart, he also had hair indeed.

  • Sorry why didnt they just use him for Nemesis he is a better look-a-like of a younger Patrick Stewart and sounds like him and lets face it he cant do a worse job of acting then Tom Hardy really could he.

  • Agreed!

  • Tom Hardy is an amazing actor.

He was terrible in Nemesis because of the producers. Check out some transcripts of Garret Wong's comments about how Star Trek actors are told to act.

    Cardboard would be a step-up.

Anyone would have been abysmal in the role of Shinzon, because the people in charge had completely lost sight of producing anything worth watching.

  • @hossrex i know what your saying the producers are to blame but i didnt see shinzon as picards clone for a few reasons, one he didnt looks like him, two he didnt sound like him and three the whole story behind picards clone was lame anyway why would the romulans clone a starfleet captain, granted a pretty important captain but the would of been better off cloneing the president

  • @Wharding85

    lol... I completely agree.

JUST my opinion, but I think Hardy did LOOK like Picard... but he didn't sound a thing like him. Considering how important "THE VOICE" is to the character of Picard, I would have shot for the right sound before the right look.

It's like no one bothered to think about whether the script made sense before they started shooting.

  • @Wharding85 Shinzon spent 20 years breathing dust in a coal mine, and you wonder why he doesn't sound like picard? You think twins raised in different countries would sound the same? And why clone the president? The idea was to get between earths defenses and destroy it, not to take over and force a vote for health care.

  • @johnmonk66 think your kind of missing the point, the whole point was nemesis was a film that should never of happened and Shinzon was a big reason why, dont forget hes not a twin hes an exact copy of him.

  • @Wharding85 an identical twin is an exact copy, Shinzon was exactly like him at birth only

  • @johnmonk66 An identical twin is not an exact copy. An identical twins have exactly the same genes but they can end up being very different in both appearance and personality due to environmental factors. Obviously, the same thing goes for clones.

  • @wight1984 what part of 'identical' do you not understand?

  • @johnmonk66 Actually, wight is correct. Cloned calico cats (calico cats with exactly the same genes) do not have the same color patterns. While this isn't for precisely the same reasons humans, it merely serves as an example that the same genes do not always produce the same appearance.

Another example is birth marks, which bare no relation to genes.

  • @johnmonk66

Hah. Tell you what, google 'identical twins' and then come back. 'Identical twins' are not literally identical; they merely have the same genetics. Two people with identical genetics do not necessarily have identical appearances or character (in fact, it's quite rare)

  • Cool ^^ more pls!!

  • My jaw dropped and I had to squint and tilt my head moving it closer to the screen.

    That's frikkin fantastic.

  • Where do i get one of those uniforms i really want one??

  • They occasionally show up on eBay if you keep looking... especially second-hand ones from The Experience in Vegas, which are pretty accurate to the originals and don't cost as much!

  • Thanks i will keep my eye out for them!!

  • so cool!!

  • @Captjeanlucpicard The one a couple years back? I went to Vegas with this star trek thing. We jokingly sent a tribble to one of my dads friends. He's kinda a star trek guy. we did see some uniforms there. if that ever happens again, you should go to one of those places. they have those uniforms there.

  • You can buy them at Star Trek conventions or order them on the internet. The chance to buy them in stores is quite rare.

  • @CHRISTINKER86

They're tailored off a simple jacket and cargo pants pattern (sleeve and jacket's front and back panels are cut along the top and tailored from gray and black materials apart) so they should be fairly easy to make if you're able to attach sleeves and put in blind zippers. Maybe a friend or relative who can sew is willing to make one for a small fee?

  • @CHRISTINKER86 just paint some pajamas

  • Love this kind of fun and humor on sets! More please. :-)

  • I mistook Giles Aston for Patrick Stewart at first

  • Those uniforms look great, I would love to know who your tailor is. I would love to get my hands on authentic looking Starfleet uniforms.

  • I think Giles' uniform might be an original, Nick's and the Intrepid's crew uniforms were all made by Nick Cook.

  • My God I haven't seen Nick for years! Probably not since he arranged for Dave Prowse to visit me in hospital when I had meningitis. Sent him my best wishes:o) Garry

  • Two of my favorite guys - doing what I wish I could still be doing.
