I went in 1999, met some people in Kathmandu who organized the visas and checkpoint paperwork. ! left totally unprepared with 100 dollars to last me a month and not the proper clothing at all. not dangerous except for mountain sickness. make sure you acclimatise. don't bring too much stuff, just what you strictly need.

Before i die, i would love to come to MT Kailash, and take in the ore and majesty of this place. There are some who say that MT Kailash was the place of the garden of eden. I tend to believe this also, what a beautiful place indeed, a place to find your true inner self. I must go there in my life time. I wonder if i have been there before in my past lifes, may be i have, because i feel drawn to this place, the feeling come from within me, so, i think i have been here. And i want to go again:)

That's exactly how I felt. I was having several deja vu's a day on the journey. It was by far the best experience of my life. Being alone with an old Tibetan man in Chiu Gompa for a week in that wide open plateau above 4500 meters was like living in heaven.

No doubt, i would have deja vu's as well. i have not been there in this life time of mine, but if i go, i wonder if i will remember some of my past lifes.
