Oh my goodness! When I was a little girl, I put my tape-recorder up to the TV speaker and taped this entire show. The problem was my batteries were low, so it all sounded like the chipmunks! :)
I'm glad someone else out there tape recorded things off of TV. LOL! I taped this off of TV too but I since erased most of it and only have Fred and Barney's song. :(

This special was way before my time, but I remember seeing clips of this featured on the AMV's of "You Crack Me Up" by Huey Lewis and the News" and "Freeway of Love" by Aretha Franklin on the 1986 VHS, "HB-TV: Top Rock", from when I was little. I was very curious about this special from 1966.
Is there anyone else from Canada who remembers at the end of this and other Screen Gems shows seeing the "Dancing Sticks" logo instead of the "S from Hell"? From my memory, the "S from Hell" didn't make it's debut on Canadian-broadcast Screen Gems shows until the fall of 1966.
I'm from the US, but I vaguely remember the "Dancing Sticks" logo - they were bright jaunty images, looked sort of like cocktail swizzle-sticks; colourful, they bipped around, flashing on and off I think - but hey, it was 4 decades ago, kind of hard to remember back that far!
Yet I remember this Alice cartoon very well, and all those Rexall ads!
I remember the "DANCING STICKS" of the Screen Gems. I live in Long Beach Ca, & they came on after the closing credits of "The Flintstones". Sad irony that Screen Gems were once associated with such family shows like the Flintstones. BUT now they are now using the name to distribute Horror Films instead of wholesome family entertainment.
Thanks for posting this and the other clips posted from this obscure TV special.
Believe it or not, I can remember the room in our old house where I watched this show. Though it was probably a repeat since we moved there in early 1967 (according to IMDB, the original broadcast date was 30 March 1966).
Yes, this was one of Hanna-Barbera's last projects for Screen Gems/Columbia, 'ClassicTVFan'. The animator "Grant-Ray" were actually Grant Simmons and Ray Patterson {who worked for H-B and Tex Avery at MGM, years before}, who, with Bob Lawrence, formed their own studio, Grant-Ray Lawrence Animation, at the time this was produced. They later animated "SPIDER-MAN" for Steve Krantz (ABC, 1967-'69).
There may be, if 'toontracker' wants to post them. Incidentally, on Hanna-Barbera Records' "soundtrack" album of this special {Paul Julian drew the cover}, Sammy Davis had to be replaced because of his exclusive contract with Reprise Records. "Scat Man" Crothers was the "Cheshire Cat" on the album. Strouse and Adams later wrote the theme for "ALL IN THE FAMILY".
Where'd you get this?
