Many people still play 1.09.4, actually. It still has MANY wads 2.0 doesn't have and never will. Also some cool things 2.0 changed to the worse, like the save system and the "MUST activate cheats in order to change random box items or other standard things". Or the amount of CTF stages.
Not to mention personal preferences in the stages and way they changed match,(It's like a party-player now, like Mario Kart all over with the items and amount) which I think is better in 1.09.4.

1.09.4 is still awesome with teh Christmas addition. I am pretty much going to make a vid with 1.09.4 soon, since SRB2 v2 is still.... well, I don't know how to put it...

SRB2 1.09.4 is aweosome! I still have it on my computer but i use the new version

I still have 1.09.4 and still like playing it. I never liked HMS either because of the coloring and the overpoweredness. This was just a lame splitscreen Hyper Sonic edit.
