As an animation student, this movie had some of the best secondary and follow through action I have ever seen. It almost hurts my brain to imagine all the work put into the overlapping and follow through action.... And nice stretch and squash in Danny of course!
Animes (especially popular ones) have to keep up with there manga. So it takes years to make one good American film, yet in those same 2 years we might have 26 episode of a really good anime and the start of a (Chessy yet funny) OVA
WAAAAHHH!!! I hel the note as long as she did!! i never could do that before! guess the voice lessons are paying off, huh? thanks a lot for this its awsome! <3
Cats Don't Dance is a 1997 animated musical film, notable as the only animated feature produced by Turner Feature Animation animation unit (later merged into Warner Bros. Pictures)
that's because most anime is shit animation, with 2 frames of mouth movement when they talk, and other lazy shit. american animation is generally filled with quality, especially the movie ones.
@iam2danditiscool And what American animation makes up for in animation quality, it lacks in story content quality. That's why I prefer the Japanese animations, because they actually contain some content I would like to watch.
@iam2danditiscool This is a movie. Anime are TV Shows. There is no comparison, in terms of budget alone. You want beautiful animation? Check out Summer Wars, or Spirited away.
@joeystorm anime takes a lot of shortcuts and is generally considered by professional animators to just be plain lazy animation (though this means they can pump out movies/tv shows fast and cheap). north american animation tends to be much more lively, particularly in full-length movies because fewer shortcuts are taken (though north american tv shows are still pretty lazy, since they have to come out with new episodes every couple of weeks and they dont have time for detail)
@ScholarlySquirrel Movies like this are made independently, it takes years to make a 2 hour movie (so high quality is the least we should expect from them). When a movie is converted into a show the quality drops period (anime or cartoon). So comparing them is silly, you'd have to compare an anime movie with a cartoon one, and if we take movies from Studio Ghibli (Sprited Away), and compare it to a Disney movie you see that the quality is extremely close (dispite Disney having a larger budget)

I remember seeing this when I was 7, and I tried to hold that note as long but I couldn't do it.

it was made longer by a few seconds artificially in the studio.
