  • is pooped-out-itis contagious?

  • A true genius...

  • he has such a lust for life. its very motivating

  • I learned something today. Thanks for this video.

  • 10 people cried when they saw Jack's bicep and knew they'd never have one like it.

  • How is it this guy had things right years ago and people today still struggle? It could only be people didnt follow through on his advice.

  • @Chaos149 many people just don't have the willpower and discipline to follow through I guess

  • @Chaos149 its amzaing that you keep getting these so called new ideas on things to do and eat. when this has been out for 40+yrs already. just keep recapping it and people still cant do it. people just want overnight results so they go for surgery and thats when things happen

  • suffering with

  • The saddest part: his messages are still relevant. Were still fat, were still tired, were still depressed. This could have been made just yesterday opposed to 60 years ago.

  • It's amazing that the foods that were not healthy for you we still eat today, I guess nothing has really changed

  • WHATS THE WOMAN'S NAME AT THE END. I NEED TO KNOW

  • @jaybreak why

  • This man will live forever in my heart. Yeah, I'm telling you!

  • This guy is jacked!!!

  • "the average american woman lives on a diet, only slightly better then those in famine areas." HAHA not any more!

  • @spookygodess They're speaking of nutrition content, obese people can be deficient in vitamins and minerals and come down with dis-ease just as much as a starving person.

  • He died from pneumonia i believe....probably wouldve broke 100 from old age

  • Amazing! This guy was so ahead of his time. Everything he says is still proven to be true today.

  • (( !!!FightThePower!!! ))

  • He says, "girls" but is talking to everyone. Sign of the 1950's I guess.

  • I want one of those suits.

  • @ichibahn565 Hell yeah!! I best not see you the same party as me!!

  • What you eat today, you'll wear tomorrow

  • @oxymoronTV How is rice milk. I drink soy milk and it's good but someone else mentioned rice milk and it sounds interesting.

  • He's so absolutely right. I was always quite naturally fit, so I didn't bother much with exercise. However, I suffered from often dangerous levels of depression. A doctor suggested exercise, and although it seemed patronising to blame my serious mental problems on physical problems and chemistry, I started running and lifting and in a few weeks felt infinitely better. Consistency is key -- if I have a slack week or so I'll feel low. I exercise for mental, not physical health.

  • @hayesism : I agree. I used to be something of a track and field star in my younger days and always felt good. Since I can't run anymore I find depression does creep in. (I find alcohol also causes depression, so have cut down to almost none). Statistics do in fact show a clear correlation between depression and lack of exercise.

  • yes, he practiced what he preached. So we know it works, I will surely miss him.

  • Can someone tell me whats whats wrong with me. I thought eating better and exercise should give me energy, but I have no energy :(

  • @MASR4 try to avoid dairy products, they can clog you up ... if you're used to milk and need a "substitute", try hemp milk or rice milk ... you can make the former yourself using shelled hempseed, water, honey or agave syrup, and a blender ... and instead of butter you can use vegetable oil or peanut butter, for example

  • @MASR4 are you getting enough sleep?

  • @9dstyle I think.

  • I've been exercising every day and I have been eat more fruits and vegetables, and I didnt cut off the calories barley, I just cut off chocolate and other junk food. I use to eat alot of junk food and not much vegetables, and I didn't exercise that much during my junk food binges. Now I increased my daily activity, exercise and been eating better, I've been doing this ever since summer started but I'm still very tired, I've been tired the whole summer but I'm the most tired right now.

  • @MASR4 b-12 helps

  • @MASR4 Do you rest enough/ stay hydrated?

  • Love you Jack~so happy to see you here on Youtube. I used to exercise with you every day when I was only 2 years old...missed you....this is great!

  • I'm tired.

  • @sillygoose544 Me too.

  • Jack Lalanne could slap Chuck Norris with his pinky

  • I've only just discovered Jack - what an an incredible guy - he will be an inspiration for generations to come. Which health and longevity experts are we gonna trust & follow? - the ones in their 20's and 30's who are popping up all the time on YouTube with their new diets and pseudo scientific reasons for their bizarre lifestyles and eating habits? Or a guy like Jack who spoke common sense, lived to be 96 and was fit til the very end of his life?

  • Jack spoke the truth, but nobody listened and now they're dropping like flies. Jack lived to 96.

  • @beautifulsarah100 And he REALLY lived. He shall be missed!

  • he lived to 96 so he must have been on to somthing

  • Hi! I'm...

  • "You girls"

  • This is amazing. Jack was promoting this advice on television 60 years ago, yet some people STILL don't follow it today. It's unfortunate, but he has continued to help people until the day he passed and left a great legacy for all to cherish and appreciate.

  • Regis Philbin On STEROIDS!!!

  • @MasSKiLLiNN only if u knew what steroid is...

  • he was way ahead of his time.

  • Missed indeed!!!!

  • Thought for sure he would make it to a hundred. Not a bad run after all.

  • @damselnlace44 and more importantly, he enjoyed all his years in great health, which many, many elderly can't say.

  • There was no one like Jack when he was alive, and there's not gonna be anybody like him now that he's gone. He was a true one-of-a-kind.

  • Rest in Peace, Mr. Lalanne. May you be in heaven. You are missed.

  • pooped out itis. nowadays, companies will push drugs on people rather than exercise. lol. RIP jack.

  • trend interest reverberates undercook correlates energetic theme, sparks're fresher. getting food groups figured no good if completely by wrong form. so toning it down's a correction recovery felt. + notch may turn stomach to more's not favorite unles @change turnin path. raw/worked element needs some breakdown, if not by hurry heat check ripe/soothed air dried folliage over folly so combo sit replicates stages vs tough market. relaxed stops stutter of cell communication go nutrition run cours

  • I really love Jack Lalanne. I remember watching his show with my grandmother and with my babysitters when i was really young. He inspired me to exercise. He was a great man.

  • when was this filmed? do you think this man dealt with depression? He sure is idealistic and trying really hard change a country he seems to deem in trouble.

  • Miss you much Jack!

  • RIP

  • He was 40 years ahead of his time, a fitness genius down to earth charismatic guy.

    R.I.P

  • Jack was awesome really.

His message(s) were timeless. There's another one on Youtoobers about 'unhappy people' which I think is on the suggestions to the right >>

He talked about health/fitness issues that are still relevant today. Its as if he's talking to us NOW.

Key thing about him was how to-the-point he got on the issues of nutrition, exercising, etc. It wasn't showbiz-y or over the top, or even stylish, it was like he was your friend really concerned for you.

    Jack 4-Ever!

  • heaven is out of shape thats why god asked lalanne for help :)

  • I love it .. This had it ! gets it !

  • Wow, I want to live as long as Jack LaLanne! Guess I need to get up off my lazy butt, like he says. I saw this other video of him at 94 that really makes me want to work out! youtube.com/watch?v=CKEHWISVi9U

  • I seriously doubt we will EVER see another like you sir.

  • I watched him in the 70's when I was a kid.

  • i need to do some trimnastics

  • This man was before his time and he was right on and still is. He lived fully right up till the end! Too bad the food industry does so much to make it hard for us to eat right.

  • This man was before his time and he was right on and still is. He lived fully right up till the end!

  • pooped-out-ITIS! lol

  • Jack will always be right, his knowledge is timeless. It wouldn't make a difference if this video was over 100 years old, hes got it. I'm currently studying to become a nutritionist, this is no BS information right here.

RIP Jack, I look forward to meeting you in heaven. =)

  • @H0tkebab he would probably say never die my friend.

  • This is awesome! Those ideals all still hold up to this day.. Nothing radical or untrue. How was he received then? He's just lovely!

  • Thank you, Jack! in 2011 you're still right about all of it.

  • RIP : )

  • Rest in Peace

  • An amazing man years ahead of his time...no doubt about it...and now he is off to another adventure....his beautiful dog "Happy" was waiting for him in a new life of wonder and magic.

  • Too bad he passed away. Definitely survived so long because he cared about himself.

  • No more recess! People need to run around once in a while :P

  • Vaya con Dios,Jack-O

  • I wish more women would live on smaller diets these days.

  • It's been the same for ages.

I used to watch him and exercise along when I was a kid, back in the late sixties or early seventies. He had this huge white fluffy dog and his lovely wife always helped.

The man was a freakin' genius, so far ahead of his time.

  • A true visionary!

  • Famous doctors? )

  • @drainfunk Yes, like Jonas Salk, Charles Horace Mayo, Benjamin Spock, James Parkinson, Aloysius Alzheimer, Carl Jung, Sigmund Freud, Christiaan Barnard, etc.

  • I remember Jack LaLane when I was a kid - my mom used to watch him and sometimes she would have me do the exercises along with her. He is truly an inspiration! God bless you, Jack - you made a great contribution to our culture. RIP :-(

  • does anyone else think he's gay? he's kinda camp. or maye that's how men were macho in the 50s

  • @mp4401 The 50s were kinda like that in general, especially a lot of TV personalities.

  • R.I.P Jack LaLane, Jan. 23... we will miss you!! God bless your precious soul!

  • Amazing how right he was so long ago. There are always real people that really know what is going on regardless of era. The rest of the world has to catch up.

  • Jack sounded like he was getting pissed 2 minutes in to this video. I would've never wanted to cross jack, I'm 20 and he still wouldve kicked my ass.

  • Rest in peace, Jack. I'll work out more now.

  • He speaks the truth in this Era of time....and he still speaks the truth in our current Generation to take care of our bodies and feed it with the proper foods....HOW MANY AMERICANS listened? No wonder why we are trillions of dollars in debt because of tiredness, fatigue, and lack of vitamins and minerals, lack of sleep, etc.

You are what you eat! Jack is right on!!!

  • Man...Jack Lalanne was way ahead of his time. He's awesome!!!

  • I love this man!

He might be gay - I love this man.

In the I respect you and shake your hand type of I love this man way.

  • @MCP1579375

He has a wife you idiot. Google it.

  • I started a regular workout routine about three weeks ago, and now i just stare at the fucking ceiling when i am trying to sleep. Having too much energy is a bad thing. I like to sleep ya know.

  • LMFAO! This guy is awesome

  • useful video

  • I agree with Jack.

  • I'm a personal trainer and the funny thing about this man is he was saying things then that people are just now figuring out. I

  • um...yeah...guys eat empty calories like potato chips too. XD

  • A tip from me on diet : Fill 1/3 of your stomach with food, another 1/3 with water and leave the last 1/3 empty. You'll feel as if you've never felt better. It worked for me.

  • @s0fw0n hmm.. I'm sure that's a lot easier said than done. how exactly do "measure" your stomach and divide it into thirds

  • @s0fw0n That 1/3 1/3 1/3 thing is an awesome bit of advice. I'm going to remember it. Seems like a real way to go for weight management and good digestive health.

  • @SeeburgMusic Glad to be of help. Bear in mind though that it was advised by the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). I came across it on the internet, so props to him and whoever spreads the advice.

  • I don't think we'll ever go back to exercising normally unless we make it a part of our work and daily life. The fact that we try to make it a special time, done just for the improvement of our health, and often at special places such as gyms or in jogging, means that only people who are specially concerned about their health will do it. But it should be just a normal part of society that we have to do to make ends meet, or to get to a store.

  • @9stale Well, you can take a walk in any place of the 3 Americas : You WONT find many undernourished persons , as 40 years ago. Instead , there is a PANDEMICS of OVERWEIGHT , or even OBESITY , in our continent. Please believe, technology made its job. I think everybody must respect our , and our predecessors, lifes , cause we´re blessed with facilities of many kinds they just dreamed, but which are now present at our daily life. IMPOSE EXERCISES TO YOU ! Its a unvaluable wealth !

  • @miguelmouta Actually a majority of americans are malnourished. Because we are eating empty calories, and foods that lack vitamins and nutrience.

  • @SlyDevil11 Well, obesity is a kind of malnourishment. Every year I visit the States , I see more and more obese people. Excuse-me, thats open viewed at the streets. President Obama understood it perfectly, and buyed a big silent fight with sugar linked industries( Think about it, no matter other wrong things he may have done). That struggle must continue, whatever be the President , for the sake of the Americas.

  • @SlyDevil11 Well, obesity is a kind of malnourishment.Technology got the means, but trade marks makes the product composition , to atend sugar- addicted hungry consumers ! Science can be more healthier,no doubt. Pres Obama understood it perfectly, and buyed a big silent fight with sugar linked industries( Think about , no matter other things he may have done wrong). Just imagine the manipulation of country opinion ,made by marketing agencies of multiindustrial corporations, over him.

  • good! I Like it!

  • Today's society encourages lethargy and sedation. Kids play video games, eat sugary foods, instead of working and playing outside. When I was a kid, there was no such thing as ADHD, ADS, or anything like that. We woke up energetic, played, went to school, studied, played, worked, did chores, and had very active days. Today's kids are abnormally hyperactive from junk foods, chemicals, sweets, and processed foods and lack of physical exercise! Diet and Exercise can cure a myraid of disease.

  • He was fine,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and he was old enough already to have his AARP card here. I wonder how long this guy is going to live.....Go Jack!

  • @Vegheadsrock His brother Norman lived to 97 without being a fitness nut. Jack should hit 125.
