  • Unfortunately, the Milwaukee West is gonna get QZ'd in a matter of weeks in the towns of Grayslake and Libertyville (excluding St. Mary's Rd. and Rondout). Round Lake won't be affected by this.

  • All-righty then. I guess this particular train operator never got that memo;-)

  • Actually, no, jonrev is utterly wrong. This particular section of the Milwaukee District North Line is Grayslake is NOT quiet zone. However, not until trains pass Rondout and enter the CP main do quiet zones come into effect. Also, the nearby CN Waukasha Sub (Metra's North Central Service) does not enter any quet zones until Mundeline. Hope I clarified it for you. XD

  • This station is down the street from me, Grayslake seems to always be swarming with trains.

  • Yeah. I can hear the train whistles from my buddy's house on Woodland Dr.

  • Heh, Grayslake (and I think all of Lake County) banned train horns about a year or so ago.

  • lol

  • Jim, This is your familie's train station.
