  • i have officially never seen this type of cpu as i only recently started working on pcs but still good info and it reminds me of how u do the ram. why did they discontinue this type of cpu tho? was it just now efficient enough? or was their overheating issues as well? or not fast enough?

  • My dad gave me his old pentium II 350mhz pc, it only had 64mbs of Sdram, but I added more and got it up to 392mbs(3 slots having 128mb sticks) I kept Win98 on it b/c WinXP doesnt seem to run that well.: l

  • @vox2007 You need up to 512mb for proper speed with xp, I know it's not minimum but more ram helps.

  • get a pentuim 3 dual server motherboard and then u are runnin a 1ghz

  • @gsm17757 No, BUT, there are adapters called "slotkets" that allow you to use a Socket 370 Pentium 3 in a Slot 1 motherboard.
