  • Polloppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppplpppppppp

  • Thank you! Been looking for a while for info on these!

  • I wish Maxpedition made hook-and-loop dividers for these bags

They could be made out of 1000D nylon with velcro tabs on each end that would attach to the sides of the bag. That way you could move them around to fit whatever you wanted to put in there. Say a water or Nalgene bottle behind one divider on one end of the bag. And maybe a trauma kit or M4 mags on the other end (again, behind a divider.) The space between the two ends could be used for whatever else that you wanted.

  • Nicely done Sootch. The Active Shooters Bag seems a bit more robust with a slightly stiffer form maximizing the flexibility of the hook and loop panel accessories. I like the flexibility the system allows and the ability to easily change the set up depending on the needs at hand. Looking forward to the Active Shooter Bag review!

  • On the money ... God bless ...

  • Love the video!! Keep them coming!!

  • You're absolutely right about the cheap stuff! I bought a holster with a hook and loop strap at a gun show for $4 and when I stepped in a hole and fell out in the field, my 22A went flying out.

  • pretty neat invention...

  • aka Velcro!

  • When the inventor of "hook and loop" asked my grandfather and a bunch of his investor friends to invest in launching Velcro® they all laughed at him. It really seemed stupid at the time. Now he regrets it.

  • great vid!

  • i didnt know what hook and loop was until now thanks for video. u always got some usefull vids thanks

  • They call it "hook & loop" because Velcro® is a trademark. If they aren't using Velcro® brand fasteners, they can get sued for using the name (false use of trademark [or something like that]). Nice video!

  • I was at a friend's house and he had strips of this 3M Dual Lock. It's like a velcro but much stronger. With approx 2" x 3/4" strips stuck together, it took quite a bit of effort to pull them apart. Something like a 4x4" square would probably even be too much.

Of course you would have to sew it in yourself, but an option if you want something stronger than velcro.

  • Brilliant concept! Thanks, Sootch! :)

  • Cool!

  • Sootch00. I just checked out the Max expedition site and was wondering if the Khaki or tan bag was the Active shooters bag. I couldn't find the diplomats bag from LA Police Gear. This is the SKU #: MaxP-9834 at LA Police gear. It's still made by Max Expedition. What is the sku number on the black bag that you have. it's about the right size for what I need.

  • Yeah, the Maxpedition holster is the one that works best for me too. Don't need a top strap, because, as you inferred, the top of the bag or compartment (when it's zipped up) acts like a stopper that keeps the gun in place. It also doubles as a flashlight holder, if nosy-bodies ask what it's for when you're not packing (cross-border, etc). Thanks sootch, keep up the quality vids.

PS: I didn't quite catch what you said after unloading that semi-auto...lol!

  • When I went into a local store to buy Gold they had hired an off duty police officer as undercover security who had that setup in his fanny pack...

It's adorable when they try & be covert sometimes...

  • -- Very practical stuff sir!

  • he must be getting payed by maxpedition, evrey video he makes now is either about maxpidetion gear or maxpedition is involved in some way.he should be getting payed for it.

  • I use that maxpedition hook and loop holster in my CondorII backpack from maxpedition. Works great.

  • funny enough i just discovered hook and loop and had no idea what it is. thanks for the vid

  • wow...now i think i can cnc my plr16! with spare mags... (I kid i kid)

  • So it's kind of like Legos meets Samsonite? I likey.

  • Nice job Sootch! It's so fun looking for the bonus clip after the credits, lol.

  • great holsters and accessories

  • You guys please quit giving woman's purse designers ideas. The next thing you know all women will have molle on their purse and it will no longer be cool :).

  • looks like something a girl would use

  • Couple of comments: you are putting a gun with possibly exposed lead in your main compartment. Those cheap holsters with elastic do not protect the trigger very well; I would never put a chambered glock in one. any loose item (like a pen) could set it off. I have a fanny pack that has a special compartment (separate from main cargo) that has velcro and a holster with thick rubber/vynal holding the gun. Anyway, this was a nice vid with good info, but... that thing does look like a purse ;)

  • kewl, but were does the name, hook and loop come into the picture, i call it velcro, lol

  • @BLAYDZ99 Because under a magnifying glass, if you look at it, the rough side of Velcro are many small hooks, and the soft side is many small loops.

  • I just use duck tape? Lol just kidding

  • your vids get better and better

  • Good one Sootch!

  • Thanks for this video, very informative......

  • Great video & rig!

  • Another great video sootch00, They also make adhesive backed hook and loop strips and dots or squares, So you can put it on things that dont come with it. i.e. pens, flashlight and i guess just about anything. It would keep a bag from becoming a heap of stuff. Thanks again Don.

  • hahaha sootch00 now you are in the hook and loop club. :)

  • Is this like fancy wording for Velcro?? Seems like it.. Or is it just avoiding the Velcro name?

  • @itachi1303 Velcro is a brand name. Hook is the sharp side & loop is the soft side of whoever is manufacturing the product. It's kinda like asking for a kleenex. In most cases you are actually asking for a tissue, but unintentionally ask by the popular nationally renowned manufacturer's name when you really don't care who makes it as long as you can blow your nose with it.

  • Yeap .... we all need some hook and loop on all our shirt backs. So Our government can play here's your sign with us! That about the only consumer help or truth we'll ever get from them. :-(

  • so i should probably sew some velcro on to my packs

  • know how to scare the shit out of Sootch? MAXPEDITION IS GOING OUT OF BUSINESS!!! lol! jk, love the vids

  • I must be dumb, I always called it Velcro LOL

  • Comment removed

THESE DAYS VERSIBILITY IS EVERYWHERE, I MEAN FOR GENERAL PUBLIC, NO NEED TO SHOP AT SURPLUS FOR USED GEAR. IT'S GETTIN BETTER AND BETTER! THANKS FOR SHARING SOOTCH! NICE VID!

  • is that nutnfancy behind the curtain?

  • I normally think of the standard holster. Nice variety

  • SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTCH!
