@johnkeem103 No. Freestyle is and always was the word for improvised by the word, and non premeditated rap. Otherwise EVERY rap song EVER would be a freestyle. There would be no differentiating between them. People went ahead and labeled their written work as freestyle to make themselves look better, and because of that, the word lost meaning over time. A verse written on the spot, is often known as a freeverse, but otherwise it's all the same.

@Israeli3030 Actually that's the new-school definition of a freestyle. Old-school definition of "freestyle" is a pre-written rap over any beat delivered "Free of style." Every rap song wouldn't be considered a freestyle simply because songs are structured (verse, chorus, etc.), whereas a freestyle lacks that structure. So technically this falls under the old-school definition of a freestyle.
