Omg Chihaya reminds me of Kurama from Yu Yu Hakusho. Same hairstyle (though Kurama's hair is longer and red) and they dress similarly too! In fact the only reason I decided to watch this anime is because he looks like Kurama, haha.

Everyone who is confused calm down. This has nothing to do with racism. If you took the time to look it up you would understand what is going on.

They are angels that are on a mission to check on earth. The angel teams(ex: chihaya and kagetsuya) are plues and minuses(aka negative and positive) Chihaya and Miyagi= Positive and Kagetsuya and Aya= Negative. When Earth reaches 10,000 minuses it will be destroyed. Thats the mission.

probably b/c this anime is pretty old and back then there was still racisium(sp) and all... and they wanted high ratings?

Also if I recall, stories concerning Angels and Lucifer the fallen Angel originate in the middle east where in that time most people around were Hebrews, Africans, Pakistanian people, ect. So they of ALL PEOPLE should be in this anime....but, sense Yun Kouga is too shallow then I guess we won't see them

Angels aren't humans to begin with so why does it matter if they'll not dark. The whole "angels are people with wings and halos" isn't true anyway--angels are spirits that take any form.

its a disease that the angels on eden are getting. chihaya was born black tho so hes imune to the disease. read the manga and ull get it. they dont really explain it too well in the anime.
