  • I wish folks would contribute to this with some knowledge of the topic. Whilst booster seats are well known to make the child safer, they do add another element of complexity in making the seat act like an inverted pendulum, therefore liable to tip (ask any mum). The CG-Lock secures the child and crash tests show this. When something is 'approved' it doesnt mean it is 'safe' as this has no comparator for the claim. Ask any lawyer after a few drinks...

  • the cg lock is called an after market product these and not approved nor should they be. any car seat manufacturer design thier seats to work how they design them so CG locks actually cant be used. and those mirrors you put on the headrest so you can see your rear facing baby are also after market products and can never be used b/c they will kill you child

  • We are currently working with child seat manufacturers on this. Currently the booster seat looks like the best use of the CG-Lock to secure children... as the variation in booster seats/chairs is less than child seats.

  • Are these products approved by the car seat manufacturer?

  • NO they are not. Car seat manufactures say to NOT use these after market products .... EVER.

  • NOT true.
