  • Yoko sounds so cute

  • John sings part of "Good King Wenslas" here and all the Beatles sing it on the first Christmas album and now John says it with Yoko on another continent from the others :(

  • Sadly this is the last Beatles Christmas record ever made. It was a time that John Lennon married Yoko Ono & Paul McCartney broke some fans hearts when he married Linda Eastman. Both George & Ringo are still married to their wives at the time. 1969 was the year the Beatles did their rooftop concert on the Apple office building. & their final album Abbey Road was released. a year later The Beatles were no more. Happy Christmas Beatles fans.

  • i think she sounds sexy as hell

  • Does John say, "c*nt flakes" @ 0:53?

  • @MrGrouchyjoe - Sounds just like it! wicked funny

  • It's sad when John is singing the Good King Wenslas song alone while Yoko is talking on the last Christmas record when the Beatles sang it on their first Christmas record :(

  • I probably just missed it because I wasn't paying super close attention while I listened but where is Paul in this video?

  • Yoko's got a super sweet voice!

  • G:"Happy Christmas. Happy Christmas. Christmas Christmas. Happy Happy."

    Has anyone else got it?

  • 6:30 LOL Ringo making promo for his new film :-D and since 6:50 - good depiction of John´s relation to Yoko => he found his missing mom in her...

  • 6:47 Nyehehehehehehehe...

  • Ohhhh, that's why there isn't a 1970 christmas record...

  • I just want people to remember one thing about Yoko....

She saw her husband cut down before her eyes and saw John bleed 80% of his blood volume to death. She saw the man she deeply loved, the father of their miracle love child dying in front of her eyes and for what reason? He was a person first, an artist second, but especially more important than that, he was a good father and husband. Please remember this even though you hate Yoko. Yoko loved John and made John very, very happy.

  • Where 's George? You blink and miss him.

    The dream was really over.

  • @oliaiguambfigues76 Rest in peace gentle and sweet George Harrison.

  • summer4autumn,i agree that there's way too much YUCKO/Yoko on/in this one, just like "Revolution 1,take 20.At least we have that elswhere on youtube.

  • What a change from the first Christmas record. It's really no longer The Beatles'...

  • to much yoko not enough paul

  • This just isn't as much fun as their early Christmas records =(

  • Brian Epstein's death was the beginning of the end.Yoko not necessarily.Three-fourths of the band wanting Allen Klein as manager definately was.George being tired of being relegated to 2-3 songs per LP was--and in the end, they had basically just grown up and apart as many people in relationships tend to do. This was 40 years ago and as John would say "Why do you have to keep carrying that cross?" It's time to stop assigning blame as to what or whom broke them up and rejoice in what they gave us.

  • haha i love how yokos trying to tlk but john just keeps singing lol

  • There's too much John and Yoko on this one. That's what annoys me.

  • Wasn't the funniest record... But ok, minus Yoko.

  • John seems to be happy in this record, he´s rather enojying it. But it´s a pity that George was cut to one sentence :(

  • This is the only christmas record that don´t makes me laught...

    =(

  • I don't like Yoko but I'm fine with her because she made John happy and I'd rather her be around and him happy than him all mopey

  • whats the song that plays . word of song

this is the wishing of a merry christmas

  • George's message is at 1:21.

  • Well, if George had actually recorded a Christmas record, then it would be here, however, since he DIDN'T ...

  • No George? :/

Instead of George we get Yoko..

Yeah...i bet a lot of fans were mad about that.

  • Yoko rules okay, stupid dumb asses!

she's a great person, artist and performer. has nothing to do with the end of Beatles. You are just ignorant bastards, you know.

  • you are so right

yoko is so origanal and is the first person that comes to mind in avant garde along with captain beefheart, john cage, edgar verase and gustav meltzger

  • @Jodi767Jodi i agree. bob dylan ruined the beatles because he introduced them to marajuana! then it ruined their attitude and broke them up! stupid bob dylan.

  • @Burromovie I hope you're joking.

  • @marthamydearr i read it somewhere and i think its possible...

but what broke up the beatles was brian epsteins death

  • @Burromovie Even John said, "After Eppy died, we were finished."

  • @AdamsApple1963 John was spending too much time with Yoko consoling his grief, and getting high. They should have just broke up for a year, did solo projects, and came back with a triumph. They were like brothers that grew up together but had no separate lives.

  • @switcherxx Yeah, well, by the time they made this, what turned out to be their final Christmas message, they were all married and were splintering apart. They were all feeling the pull of domesticated life.

  • @AdamsApple1963 hmmm, they had previous 'committed' reltionships years ago... John with Cynthia (and Julian), George and Ringo had steady gfs....

  • @AdamsApple1963 I believe John's exact phrase was something like: " When Eppy died, I knew we had fucking had it!" Despite this they tried their best but could never agree on what manager, lawyer, to hire for their group for representation. That was the absolute end in spades I am sorry to say as the Beatles as a band.

  • I find this one very sad. It was obvious that the end was near.

  • Totally agree. If you compare this to the earlier years where they all got together in the studio and were all silly; by this time (1969) it appears they all went into the studio alone, did their thing individually, and got the heck out. Like "gotta do this one more time, OK if I must".

  • I also find this sad, not cos Yoko's on it, but because it was obvious the Beatles couldn't bear to be in the same room as each other. Peace and love and harm-o-nee, John!

  • I think Yoko's voice is cute. I'm not a fan of her singing, though

  • Why oh why did Yoko have to sing in John's Happy Xmas (War is Over).

  • No wants to hear you talk, Yoko!

  • AAAAHHH! Shut UP yoko!

  • Virtually no George in this one but I still enjoy this message alot-Lennon always makes me roar with laughter-I wonder if Yoko did infact get him his "Teddy Bear"?

  • I think it's kind of sad to see how their relationship changed. All together early on and as the years ...they didn't even record their parts in the same countries..

  • Way too much Yoko on this one, almost as though she was a Beatle.

Must've pissed off a lot of fans at the time.

  • People gave Mrs. L. way too much grief then and even now. But she was a part of the Beatles story, like Linda, Billy, George, etc. It is sad in retrospect to see how the boys drifted from eachother.

  • She takes George's place in this message just like she symbolically sat in his chair after he left the Beatles. Why would Beatle fans want to listen to Yoko Ono being annoying rather than listen to the ACTUAL beatles together?!

  • And all the guys. Minus John, of course.

  • Yoko was a Beatle??????

  • Well, John thought so...

  • @BARREDA1976 Yoko was NEVER a Beatle nor could have ever become a Beatle member of the band.

Yoko was John's soul-mate according to Cynthia Lennon herself! There was one standing rule of the band members and that was no wives or girlfriends were allowed to hang about the studio while the fab four were working very seriously on their music. This rule was suddenly without any warning or discussion was broken with Yoko in attendance. The lads were furious and began to argue. Very sad.

  • @TheJohnlennongirl hahahaha Cynthia Lennon said in her book John that Yoko was terrible to her and Julian. Yoko just got John on heroin and made him weirder than he already was. And annoyed the shit out of George, Paul and Ringo.

  • @back2realitygal11 John Lennon was a very complicated man. He could behave terribley to his Beatle mates, his ex-wife (Cynthia), present wife (Yoko), his son (Julian), and John's best friends. John could be the loveliest of men, jovial, joking, loving, caring, enjoyable and relaxed to be around (and while working in the studio as well).

  • Respond to this video... John struggled since youth with painful feelings of abandonment from both parents that led him into being an "angry young man" and that "inner pain" John's youth resonated deep within all his life.

  • @summer4autumn You better believe it and Yoko is annoying on here now.

  • Thanks for the trip down memory lane!!

I had these on vinyl way back when i was in the "Beatle's Fan Club".

Thanks so much and Happy Holidays!

    Michelle :)

  • No one that I'm aware of.

  • These Christmas messages are so unique. Who else does this?
