  • that is cool stuff

  • does that produce sodium nitrate

  • @ma356289 yes

  • @ma356289 yes

  • how can i get some nitric acid, or prepare myself with common chemicals, which i can find it in the store,i need nitric acid for a fertilizer recipe.

  • @octim08 Unless you actually WANT to be behind bars, let the nitric acid be used by those who have it(legally). Want some fertiliser? use cowdung. its very potent

  • I work with

    Nitric acid 60%

    Hydrochloric acid synthesis 36%

Caustic soda liqour rayon grade 47%

    Hydrofluoric acid 60%

    Hydrogen peroxide 35%

    :D

  • 35% h2o2.. its odd that its sold in the worlds most terror safe country.. lol ^^ is that the stuff you made or bought?

  • I dunno mate they just buy it in bulk for random jobs we do i never used it yet but most of packaging on labels is german lol :D

  • o_O well yea germany.. i just want some oxidizers and fuel.. :/ but denmark says no :D so thanks to denmark i gotta use HE xD

  • Did this when I was younger with a friend. But we used a larger piece of Sodium (about size of a walnut). That caused an explosion and both of us were bathed with nitric acid. I couldn´t hear for a few minutes and my friend couldn´t see. The smoke that was created had filled a whole Subway Station (as we did the epxperiment on the entrance of the Station). Our clothes were full of holes and Next day we had marks on our faces..

    Scary experience.

  • that's retarded. how old were you?

  • Now why would you say this in a place that other people will be able to read it and laugh at you. I know I know, you're that 1 up guy that has to have a story that 1 ups everything. You've been everywhere and done everything. The reaction of nitric acid and a chunk of sodium that large would be much more violent and devastating than you think. You'd probably be typing this with one hand or voice recognition software and might need someone to read this for you if you didn't die.

  • Shouldn't this be releasing reddish-brown Nitrogen Dioxide instead of whatever these white fumes are?

  • Holy-Terrorist:>*=* mm the nitric acid is very concentrated, habitually

    sodium hidroxyde(NaOH) + nitric acid(HNO3) = water(H2O) + sodium nitrate(NaNO3) the habitual stuff for potassium nitrate wiith potassium hidroxyde(KOH)

  • Fuck you, seriously! You are commenting in every video with that holy terrorist crap! It's annoying, and wtf do you mean by it? Nobody loves you because you suck.

  • Don't breathe it in :O

  • [will it blend]

acid smoke. don't breathe this ;D

  • All fun and games untill the flask explodes showering your face with Nitric acid ;)

  • Actually when metlas like sodium react with nitric acid you would not get hydrogen. This is because nitric acid is an oxidising agent therefore it would be reduced. Product s therefore would be sodium nitrate + water + a reduced form of the nitrate such as NO2, NO, N2O, NH3OH+ or NH4+

  • Kinda neat, but a great waste of two valuable reagents

  • sodium+nitric acid=sodium nitrate+hydrogen is this right or am i gay

  • acid+metal > salt + H20 + Hydrogen

    so you were almost correct

  • @TheMojoTribe right :)

  • screw the little sodium shite make nitroglyserin and put it on youtube: )

  • so we get blown up through our computer screens??? XD

  • if you have the basic chemicals needed and a good lab just make it as you need it.....

  • i love acids man...

  • Na + HNO3 = NaNO3 + H2

I have a lot HNO3 in my laboratory. I always used it to dissolve metals

  • but.....this is not balanced

    Na + HNO3 = NaNO3 + H2

  • Na + HNO3 = NaNO3 + 1/2H2 or

    2Na + 2HNO3 = 2NaNO3 + H2

  • thats not balanced

    2Na + 2HNO3 = 2Na[No3] + H2

  • you can make nitric acid if you have the right equipment and materials.

youll need a retort and a collecting flask though.

  • ej a nebi mogu tule nastajat NO2 rjav plin...

  • How u get? (its rilly hard here) but how u get in Europe?

  • If you dont know how, you dont need either of them.

  • I have a liter of 65% nitric acid at home. I use it to dissolve metals like bismuth and silver, to study their chemistry. Besides , it's useful to make nitrated cotton.

  • nitric acid is very hard to get at some places, like USA, and very easy in Europe.

  • I wouldn't say its hard to obtain acids in the USA. But where i am its hard to obtain it unless your a teacher of a school or you work in lab analysis studies. But further yes it can be hard to obtain it in Europe as well, it just depends on the people you know etc.

  • no in poland it's easy to obtain nitric acid from pyrotechnics resellers ;)

  • Yeah , however i have already obtained it. Its still hard to obtain such an acid, you need to have trust and signature with a chemical supplier for that kind of acid.

  • Actually I think it is tricky in US, because you often have to buy it for a high price from educational suppliers.

  • where/how did u get ur nitric acid?

  • nitric acid is very corrosive. It can burn your skin instantly

  • I know, I am not so stupid. I don't have lab at home, so I can't do many safety precautions, but I know some things about chemistry. And I know, that nitric acid is very corrosive and dangerus.

  • try it with that watery sound i hear lol waterfall>?

  • That was strong storm :D

  • not too many safety precautions hmm?

  • wow thats smart id of never thought sodium in nitric acid
