Canadians never spoke English well. No language culture. Immigrants do not need it and there is no cult of language culture as it is in america. When you cross American border you'd been asked if you understand English well enough to do what you are asked. That has its point.

Accents are what make us unique! Being southern I get flack a lot for me accent. But on the other side I speak two languages and am studying linguistics! So accents in my opinion are the best thing!

In Europe, whenever 2 people come together who don't speak each other's language, they default to English, not French. Personally I am more embarassed by an English speaking person who makes no effort whatsoever to acquire even a small French accent WHEN SPEAKING FRENCH!!!, than by a French speaking person who has a heavy French accent, but at least tries to speak English as well as they can.
Some people from England make no concessions whatsoever to French pronunciation. Coming from them it seems rude.

You speak English beautifully with hardly a discernable accent. The little hint of a French accent is charming. French Canadians should not be timid about their accents (there are several French Canadian accents as I'm sure you know).

Don't let the people get you down. I speak English as a third language and often flip into the other two from time to time, usually without knowing it. Also, your accent is fine, you sound more like you are from Ontario. (I traveled through Ontario and Quebec a lot.)

Your English accent is great , geshh don't worry about it . I'm from Vancouver and believe me ive heard some horrible English accents in my life lol. I can hardly tell your French Can .

Accents are what make us unique! Being southern I get flack a lot for me accent. But on the other side I speak two languages and am studying linguistics! So accents in my opinion are the best thing!

My friend linked to a clip of "The IT Crowd" and for some reason this video was recommended by youtube. Who knows why? Funny though, but you must have vision problems if you see no resemblance at all to jlhewitt. Don't get offended, people tend to think she's very pretty, so... be happy?
