  • jim can you tell me why they failed that lift?

  • @matklstrength Depth

  • one thing ive never understood about these powelifters. how they stand with their feet so damn far apart. i could never do that hah. but this is beast

  • Chad Will be competing Jan. 15 :)

he trains at our gym.. fucking beast

  • Definitely lower than mike millers

  • damn that guy has some giant legs.. these are some strong dudes

  • Aichs is a giant

  • Has Chad Aichs stop lifting competitively since 2007?

  • @HalifaxHercules i think so, but if you read is training log at efs. com he is back into training for PL again, or trying to while avoiding injuries.

  • I've seen many of his videos and I think he is a really good guy not just strong as Hell!

  • Check out his Squat Technique on Muscle Fitness. He explains it all pretty well.

  • Is that a Texas Squat Bar??

  • thats some wide stand

  • do any of you idiots realize there was only 4 plates on that thing?

  • @TheMarineGeneral If you weren't already blind, I'd tell you to gouge your eyes out.

  • um there's 6...

  • @LPfanatic578 yeah they're 100lb plates

  • @TheMarineGeneral yeah you stupid fuckin moron theyre 100 pound plates what are you seven years old

  • @TheMarineGeneral You dumb shit. Those are 100lb plates.

  • he's got millers depth beat by a mile. he should of been given the record

  • LOL @ HOW MUCH THAT BAR BENDS

  • that guys a fucking beast. Holy shit.

  • what kind of plates are those. the one's in his bench press video are different too. they look thinner so I'm guessing they're denser and heavier than the ones you see at the gym

  • most people would be instantly crushed by having that much weight on them. impressive just to be able to stand with it

  • chad is a friend of mine, i asked him about standing with that weight and he said once he sets, it feels just the same as 600lbs. Idk, personally i would get squashed, to me 450 feels like a fuckin car. He's a super cool guy though, he will sit and crack jokes and tell stories all night in the gym. This one time i spent 3 hours in the gym talking to him and i never touched a weight lol.

  • i don't care if he didn't go fare enough down. the mans a beast in it self 4 just acring that much load on his legs. reminds me of a viking.

  • lower than mike millers 1220 tht he was credited for

  • cut depth a lil short, but handled the weight good. IMO it looked like he was lower than Mike Miller was on his 1220 that he was credited for

  • it does look lower, but it's tough to call. neither of them looked quite low enough, but it's still a very impressive lift

  • that is a lot of man

  • he might not have went low enough but this man is a Beast anyway, wow!!!!

  • Not deep enough.

  • I dont get it wtf happend

  • wasn't low enough

  • probably got called for depth

  • He didn't reach the required depth, and therefore failed the lift.

  • not low enough

  • Was called no lift I believe due to ref's not being happy with depth of Chad's squat (hip joint paralell with knee joint).

  • Damn BRO! That Was Awsome!!!!!!!

Im In powerlifting to! Im only a junior right now! MY max on squat is 435 right now and by next year im goin to get up to over 500 pounds on squat! would already be there by now if i havent have torn my groin!=( but i planning on slaying in my senior year!

  • That was fucking awesome!!!! Stop for a second...put away any prejudicial thought...take another look at the number that was sitting on a human man's back! You have to realize that that alone would absolutely crush most of the people that watch this video....let alone to descend with it and then think you could actually stand back up!

  • why do squat powerlifters use such a wide stance?

  • easier to lift ...

  • Because that way they don't realy have to descend that much to do an attempt.

  • less distance to go down - and its less putting strain on the lower back.

  • big belly farts....

  • It's an ammonia capsule.

  • does anyone know what that was that he sniffed before he lifted. I know that it was some sort of adrenaline stimulant but does anyone know a product name?

  • its ammonia

  • if these guys can lift so much why dont they enter the olympics?

  • might have something to do with the fact that there's no squatting, benching and deadlifting in the Olympics.

  • One thing I have to say, though, is that I think some PL should give OL a try. Most of the strength for snatch comes from legs and lower back, and much of the strength for CJ from those same areas. Shane Hammen made the transition, I think some other guys probably could, also, if gyms around the country would make Olympic Lifting part of their agenda. I've been in gyms that won't even allow it!

  • @jimmcd1234 lolol dont even respond to these Youtube Idiots

  • @jimmcd1234 I lolled.

  • @jimmcd1234 anymore anyway

  • Yeah, what jimmcd1234 said.

  • cause only truely athletic sports like Curling are in the Olypmics :(

  • @mcredsox16 u are an idiot

  • @mcredsox16 i hope u die getting fucked by a horse

  • @mcredsox16

Because the sport is powerlifting. Olympic lifting (weightlifting) is in the Olympics. Sometimes it's best to keep your mouth shut when you don't know what you are talking about. Just a suggestion.

  • In this day and age of more sophisticated measuring/timing devices (like you see at the Olympics), I don't see why powerlifters can't have measurement devices hooked to points of their body and have it register on a laser level or similar device. This would remove any question as to whether or not powerlifters make a legal lift.

  • i can do that with 110kilo

  • he can do it with about 550 kilo..

  • That had to be friggen close...

  • dude thats good enough for me

  • what the fuck was that

  • wtf he went more parallel than that mike miller guy

  • defintely dude that was way better than mike miller

  • Definitely red lighted. He needed a few more inches.

  • hes cool man

  • Sumo squat is tough to judge... oh well

  • That was deeper than Mike Miller's 1220lbs.

  • thats a ridiculous miss. most people couldnt even lift 1221 lbs with all the muscles in their body...

  • haha im related to this guy...awsome

  • thats a big dude!

  • how is that a miss?

  • because he didn't go to parellel

  • Yep, good work!

  • close try. That was great work.
