If we can presume that the never-ending staircase represents addiction, and that the constantly watching cameras represent rehabilitation counselors who just stand by and watch, then can we presume that the temporary escape represents poverty and that the repeating outside world represents that the only way to break addiction is to do so involuntarily through a lack of the means to provide for it?
Because that's the message I got from this. And it seems a tad morbid. Hehe.

Brilliant. Even though the modeled face is very rigid in its expressions, the caricature is very engaging and the concept behind it all is very clever.
I loved the Esser eternal loop staircase development and twist in the end.I guess that modelling that looped staircase must have been hard, violating the perspective so that it looks as if it's constantly ascending ( or descending)
