  • i will be a wealthy rock star some time soon,i will buy these things and return them to your tribes,a peice of pottery fragment that was taken from a cave in "peru" painted they wanted seven thousand dollers for it, and bow and arrow sheths that are intrecetly beaded, i will return a lot of things to you tribes, peace to the tribes,,

  • hellow i am the (k-key) "kevin o'connell" i went to a native american art show in marin county this weekend,,,it was depresing, not one native anerican there, how do these people get native american war clubs from the 16 hundreds? and peace pipe tomahalks, native americans where killed for there shoes..i held a native american war club in my hand,it felt like BLISS! my hand was stoned, and the floor caved in under my foot right after, i had to check to make shure there was no hole in the floor

  • Beautiful people!!! like my people, like my boyfriend!

  • verdadeiros donos!

    beautiful video! *****

  • america is so fuct up, ughhhhhh.

  • a time is coming very soon we will be looking to the first nation people to learn how to live on this earth...we have forgotten and the state of our world is in grave need...we should have come here in peace and learned from them...we would not be in these desperate times if we had listened to their wisdom.

  • Your story is not quite right with the Ghost Dance. I have many a friends from tribes from all over. As a Cherokee, I do not feel racist nor prejudice against the whites for what has come of my ancestors, for that is not who they would want us to be.

Remember the years of past, bit live only for to day, so that the younger will reshape the future for all races, religions and beliefs.

  • @LokuKina You seem to mean well, but yet always with the criticism. I'm telling an abridged story. What exactly have you done to tell the broader story? Why can't you be appreciative for what I have told. Because it isn't a hollywood version? I'm one independent musician of Native American ancestry trying to tell a story very few even know of. History books don't tell it. So if you have a problem with my version tell you own so I can also criticize and evaluate it. Otherwise piss off.

  • @LoneGranger Then tell the tales correctly, I do tell the stories, and I do speak the language. I can play the TomTom Thunder drum, I sing our morning song every morning. A hollywood version is not needed, nor in many cases wanted. The music is beautiful and filled with pride, but that is not the issue. Learn the history of the Ghost Dance, or seek out more of the beliefs of the Lakota Sioux. There are songs which are perfect for your story and are sung much as your story line is.

  • @LokuKina

I'm fr. Panama. I've read about the Dance fr Robert Ghostwolf (he's crossed over now).

The people were trying to roll up Time - backwards. There's more about it.

The witnesses, one of them, a man called Porcupine, gave his testimony afterwards to the U.S> Army- there's a look written down that's never been revealed publicly.

The events WERE real, & the Dancers could have turned back Time before the Whitemen, if the Army would have let them.

There's another point, when you see only one cloud in the sky- round & white - just sitting there, it "ain't" what it seems!

  • @LokuKina actually it was correct. i have seen and met families whos ancestors have died and it is correct. Cherokee is not one of the bands who performed this tradition it was done by the sioux.

  • Perhaps the U.S. a had to stop the Ghost dances even through murder because they were truly being free.

  • I read that these dances had more meaning that one would think. They brought a good energy to mother earth and literally made your mind/body stronger through it's spirituality and connection with the earth/life. Think about it. All these ancient things we read/hear about are down played from what they really are.

  • beautiful and a memory ever lasting......

  • very appropriate for thanksgiving

  • IM a little angry now...

  • Respond to this video... IKNOWTHEFEELING

  • i have always felt this gap of not knowing who i really am. i am native american and its so sad to know so much has been lost like religion, tradition and language.

  • Perhaps something like this is needed now. There are a lot of people who might be ghost dancers, among natives, as well as everyone else. People of all tribes are beginning to see who their enemy is, and it looks like the same enemy natives had to deal with back then. Anything which can bring all of us together will surely help.

  • I want to kno my history as a native American

  • I'm an Asian woman. I feel sad for the tragedy of the native Americans. I respect all human beings and admire those warriors. They are brave and true warriors. I hope their people will be happy in the future. I love their wisdom and beautiful culture and hope it won't be disappeared in the changing world.

  • @sureeratchai Thank you. A true warrior values Peace more than War. Beautiful words...

  • @sureeratchai

    Well said <3

  • @sureeratchai Well said

  • Thank you for posting this, I teach a Race and Ethnicity Course and I love Native American music, by the way, it is the shame of the U.S for its horrible treatment of Native Americans

  • I find going back in History there is nothing American about me, just because i was born here, my home is my ancestors, my Irish and my Native American, my British as horrid as they were, some not all, my Scottish, all the family i never knew but feel more proud to call my people than my American, my false half. I am proud to be what i am, a mutt of history. better than a purebred made of blood and the tears of others. i am proud to be who i am, i am a true American.

  • LoneGranger, I give Thanks to You this day for the wisdom you imparted to an ignorant soul such as I. I wish with All my Heart that people will see Your Wisdom & take the time to look into the Truth of Your words. Genocide is No One's friend...I hope to see in my lifetime the Uniting of All First Nation people. In the end...Custer got his just rewards! And to hear tale of his fate at the hands of female Natives, I thought was just. Thank You. Mi Takuye Oyasin

-May You Walk In Beauty. Aho.

  • Great Nations Natives Americans !! Love to You !

  • its definetly a damn shame that many monuments and places are named after the very same ppl who are responsible for MURDERING defensless men, women and children. Like Col. Custer and Forsyth for example; i wouldnt even call them warriors or soldiers-much less human beings. there's no honor in slaughtering the weak

  • @ciainformant

did they just eat any old person or was it just at certain times in their history?

oh , I did not understand your last sentence.

but in any case many pa-ki-ha(euros) are doing their part to keep the moari language and culture alive and to have moari seats in parliament better then I can say for main stream America

  • @ciainformant yes it was said they wiped out the moa.It that true or was the moa before the moari?

I do know they did make some birds extinct because they would target the females and knew when they were laying their eggs.

that can be some what understood as there was no large game to kill

From what I understand, fish, eels, birds but no large game.....aside from fellow humans

Now some moari will admit they ate people to show how bad ass they were.

    Let me ask you........

  • @ciainformant

thank you for the infomation.I will now research it for myself

I do know about the "islanders" in Auckland where most of them are and yes they pretty much look the same but often seem to be a bit over wieght more then the moari people.

I am also well aware of the moari prejudice of the islanders

What you are saying may be true but I can't imagine the moari being happy about happy about more people learning about this truth

    I will do my research

  • Pay back time now. 5 were arrested on Memorial Day 20011 for quietly dancing at the Jefferson Memorial

  • Fantastic job on the soundtrack. More please.

  • white man is the devil

  • @WhosAtroll greed is the devil

  • I have always loved and admired anything Native American. Such a sad part of our history and one we should always be ashamed of.

  • Comment removed

  • In America, we should be ashamed of our Goverment not respecting the Native First Nation Americans.

It is a fucking shame as an American ,I can't see True first Nation people walking down the streets everywhere in everyday life as with the Moari people in New Zealand.

In NZ you will see hords of the first nation people.Who knows you may fall in love with one of them and in NZ you will see first Nation Art.

Also , I like to see more Native American Art in the everyday modern world

  • @NYWAORCANZ Understand your passion. I noticed the other day the 2010 census data was released and it listed caucasion, hispanic, african american and asian. Not a mention of the Native (first nations) populations when I do remember checking. Arg. There is so much beautiful Native art my friend. Look online and you'll find some, better yet come visit us.

  • @LoneGranger

I am an 8th Mohawk, however you may or may not guess by looking at me but still I can be proud to be even a small part first nation.

My favorite native art work so far is the Pacific North West

I live in New Zealand now,In NZ you can see Maori people every where and their art work is more a part of the culture then in America.Their Language is still alive and is spoken on TV and been Romanized but poorly by an English man name Samual Lee

    Point is........

  • @LoneGranger Continued.........point is ,it make me think ,what about Us in America. Why don't we see more Native art work and celebration of Native cultures in America and why can't we see more natives walking around in America amongst non indigerious people?True is tourist from around the world would love to see it.It would make our mordern world more beautiful and it would increase awareness and tourism

and yes I think I may come and visit you folks

  • @LoneGranger Census has no grouping for tribes not officially recognized tribes, let alone tribes from other countries, or mixed blood origination from other counties - I marked Nat. Amer. not 'hispanic', (Me mixed Mex-american)

  • @NYWAORCANZ we shoudnt be ashamed, we personally had nothing to do with it. We can only learn and grow and support the culture.

  • @ShotCallz

yeah, your right...but come on.we need to make them more a part of main stream culture and be proud of them.

I now live in NZ and in New Zealand.the first nation indigneious have seats in the goverment and many of their words are actually used by every day kiwis on the streets and are even spoken on the TV.This week in NZ it is actually Moari Language week,

Also there art work is a part of the culture and you can see many moari people walking around on the streets.

  • what a beautiful song, you have all my respect! blessings to you, thank you for sharing this.

  • If only we would have learned from all Native Americans instead of trying to destroy them. They possesed wisdom unlike anything we had and its a great sadness that the eurpeans could not see this. They thought them savage but their culture was beautiful. I wish to all Native Americans peace and much love & respect.

  • The return is underway, nothing can stop it now...

  • Well....except for ammo and fishing & hunting gear!

  • The white man paved paradise and put up a parking lot. I would let it all go back to nature!

  • Littlebigfoot. :)..my mom was born on the white buffalos birthday. SoCool!!!

  • Great video and great music. I can only hope that one day the Natives will have their land back. I am disgusted to see what kind of society we have morphed into ever since the formation of the US government.

I remember thinking that if I was ever President of the US, the first thing I would do is automatically give all the U.S. land back to the Natives and step down from office, even if it meant my assassination.

The Natives took care of this land. We destroyed it. May peace be with us.

  • @Tonesyxx There is a much better resolution to that.....Why not all of us just get along and live happily together.....The past is the past.....Lets all move forward .......By the way~~~~~We are all Gods children after all ~~ Peace Tisha :)

  • @MyTbradley That's true. But I would say for all of us to move forward, we have to abandon everything we have in life now. No more government, no more reality tv shows, no more superficial bs, and no more wars. But I agree with you 100%. -Peace out. Tony

  • nice video it is good to see change every once in awhile

  • Is this the song they danced? Where can i get it?Or something similar...

  • @kaxiaz You can get it on my CD 'A Place Called Peace' by Randy Granger. It's on iTunes, Amazon, and CDBaby.com

  • @LoneGranger Congratulations...its a beautifful song much respect ; )

I think everybody should learn this dance.

  • @LoneGranger i guess it depends where you go. in vancouver lots of native people still do what they did for thousands of years. however in certain places in canada it is much harder to see them.

  • I am a white European and my father bought me a wonderfull book of Native American legends and myths when I was 6 and it was a great encounter.

Since then, I have met and encontered with many cultures and nations, but have always felt my heart to be half Indian.

  • Chief big foot lives as a crow now, I feel there's more to the story than we know.

  • This is awesome, I think that everyone should know the real truth.

Very wise and beautiful, a good thing that videos like this is out there.

It helps rid the world of ignorance and dogs do have more sense, we could all learn a lesson or two from them.

    Pilamaya!

  • Thanks you for your contribution to the cause, I believe the Ghost Dancer's where before their time in their request to have the old ways return. We are now in the transition phase to the next world, the fifth world, be prepared the time is near and we don't have much time. All will be as it was, Mother Earth and Father Sky are speaking, can you hear them and if not open your ears before it are too late. Be Well Ah-Ho

  • I only have one native ancestor i am aware of and I feel the sadness and tragedy in my blood. Its time to move forward and heal, we have a responsibility to live correctly.

  • We have been here long long before the Europeans came, and brothers and sisters, we will be here long after they are gone............true...

  • go to the Caddo who still dance the ghost dance, we must dance again then the old ones and the old ways will return at long last and bring back the buffalo and our homes and stop the plague carriers from coming

  • We shouldn't hate anymore. The only way we're going to move on as native people is if we forgive. A lot of bad things may have happened to our families and ancestors that still affect us to this day, but if we don't forgive and accept, then that hates just going to keep traveling onto our next generations. In this time & age, we are all coming together as native people. I am a youth myself & I am proud of who I am. We need to come together and move forward for ourselves & together as a nation.

  • I really liked this!

  • I am white crow from a vision i had i persued the name as mine i say we ask our elders about our traditional ways and how to speak the tongue of our great ancestors. Many of our people are born into the world not knowing the old ways i am one of those born in that way. I wish to learn and teach my children dont all of you? Please message me if you know the Mescalero Apache ways i wish to learn them.

  • how i miss this sound ,winding up the "cove" on the res. in cherokee mts.lived with our families there for about 8 yrs. loved it,miss them

  • =] A thousand miigwetchs for uploading this song. I'm from the ojibwe tribe. My Rez is "home of the jingle dress". not bragging just want to share. :P

  • Us skins don't need to define who we are anymore based on the murderous actions of Spanish and Americans over the last 500 years - But rather on the power, wonder, and incredible ingenuity of our culture over the last thousands of years. We have been here long long before the Europeans came, and brothers and sisters, we will be here long after they are gone............

  • @sarabuffalo1 Thank you. Wise words. And yes our story is ever evolving.

    RG

  • @LoneGranger my anger creeps in without me wanting it too.... but thank you as well!

  • @sarabuffalo1 Perhaps we can move beyond this, and celebrate our shared history, move forward, and enjoy the best of all cultures. Beautiful music, such as this song, transcents race, nationality, ethnicity, and culture, and should be part of all human experience. Peace.

    The_Pilgrim

  • @sarabuffalo1 very wise words, in my opinion, the key to turning the page to the next chapter (aka the revolution) is in fact LOVE. im not native american, im african american, however, i like learning about my history as well as native american history, not just in north america, but in the south and on the many islands. our history isnt that differnt from one another, even this ghost dance has taken place in hati, when the black began their voo-doo. calling on ancestors for strength

  • @sarabuffalo1 anyways, i got alittle off subject, like i said before, the key to turning the page to the next chapter of this book is LOVE, we must learn to love our own people. for example, the only reason native indians never overcame the whiteman is because they never united with the other native tribes. you are all one people, therefor you should unite as a whole nation. similar to the maroon societies when native and blacks would unite to fight the white man off.

  • @sarabuffalo1 and the last thing i want to say is that, the most important thing that we must do is teach our TRUE HISTORY, i know alot about natives as well as blacks in america, however, the majority of stuff that i know, i had to learn it on my own, because they dont teach this stuff in school. therefore its up to us to teach our own people, knowing our history is the key to understanding our future, this is why i know that indians and blacks will rebel, BECAUSE HISTORY SAYS SO.

  • this is very sad that these native americans loss their lives . i donot approve of the way the goverment treats native americans to me they are the only truye americans ever one else is a transplant

  • Beautiful music and very moving video LoneGranger. I am not Native American, but I highly respect the culture. It is atrocious to see what humans are capable of doing to each other. I only hope people realize not everyone is evil and not everyone is woven from the same cloth. PEACE TO ALL!

  • There is a force that would seek to destroy that which is real and truth..hopefully one day we will be brothers and sisters together to overcome this oppressive spirit. Peace.the Creator who brought us here.

  • Not the corrupt govt but those whose hearts are broken also by what was done. We may not understand fully the deep history and spirituality of the different tribes, but their are those of us who have the same heart, same vision , same love of the earth and All who are one shall be those who make the difference and overcome the tyrannical mentality that brings destruction to so many peoples, not just here in America, but on the whole of this planet.

  • Embrace those who want to be a part of the renewal...it may not be that all of them are of native heritage...but in order to revive the spirit of the native which was honor and generosity they will have to open their arms to the very ones they despise.

  • Beautiful job !!! What happened at that time was a disgrace and I believe unnecessary However, The spirit is still very much alive and living in each one of us...As a healer and musician I feel this very strongly...Live in Harmony with the earth and all it's beings and live in balance of body mind and spirit...Spirit can never be destroyed our Native People here in America knew this as do all of us....it's in your heart

  • So beautiful, so sad. Thank you, Lone Granger. Your music and your thoughts are great teachings. The Ghost Dance religion may have been mistaken in its facts, but its spirit is a thing of beauty that transcends its mistaken beliefs. It teaches us not about the immediate future of the world, but about our hearts, which yearn for beauty, balance, and a natural way of life.

  • I am part Cherokee, a peaceful people who were much persecuted. I am mostly white. My eyes wet with tears when I think of the harm which people did one another in the past. May we all become better people in the future, and love and respect one another despite race or kind. Let hate and sorrow melt into fellow feeling for all people, who know hardship, joy, and sorrow alike.

  • "Don't walk behind me; I may not lead. Don't walk in front of me; I may not follow. Walk beside me, that we may be as one" Ute saying

  • @papasimian Thank you, have sooo much anger about what has been done, thank you.

  • The best thing to do is quit playing the victim and educate people instead of spewing hate towards people who have done nothing to you personally. Ignorance breads discrimination and stereotypes. I went to the Pine Ridge Reservation and met many good people who have become my friends. I've also embraced their spirituality.

  • Education is important. Also airing out truths is important. Targeted genocide of Indian people by the US really happened, it was policy. Indian's also annihilated other Indians. Maybe we can let people vent here and be moved to learn more, understand, forgive. It's easier to hate than tolerate sadly. While I respect everyone's voice, I must say Blackbird, that because you embrace a tribe's spirituality you might not understand our culture, or people, we are 2.5million sovereign people. RG

  • LoneGranger, I never meant that by embracing the Lakota spirituality that I understand their culture or people but I have seen what has become of Pine Ridge. I've seen the alcoholism, the poverty, the joblessness, and other things that people who don't live on the rez never see. Out of sight and out of mind is how it's been. My Lakota brothers and sisters have shown how things have been since they've been on the rez.

  • an insightful book on that subject is On the Rez by Ian Fraiser. He relays the story of SuAnne Big Crow. If you don't know her story it is very powerful, graceful and humbling...

  • Yes Sir, I know all about SuAnne Big Crow's story. A phenomenal basketball player on her high school team. A sad story that her life was cut short by a car accident. I have been to the SuAnne Big Crow boy's and girl's club. Her mother is doing a job that most would cringe at.

  • soldiers get medals for murder?

police too... i wish all the whites would just go home!!!, bakk to the hell hole they came from, UK france or whatever, sorry for sounding like the angry indian, but... yea sometimes i do wish, it was just us in north america...

  • they should be envicted

  • Sounds to me like you didn't get a chance to meet people like myself (white) that haven't given you the stereotype and hate you have for your fellow man. It saddens me to see this being perpetuated among your own. I'm glad my Lakota brothers and sisters don't view people like yourself. I hope you find balance in your life before it's too late.

  • It was just simply amazing. I am 1/16 Mohawk and to hear our native music played makes me fee like my spirit is transcending the boundries of our comlex worlkd to a simpler time. We shall never forget the injustices against us. Thank you for uploading this beautiful moving video

  • Don't justify the US Government by dividing your blood line. Either you are or aren't Mohawk. Don't let the government continue to keep their thumb on you.

  • I was saying that because the majority of my family line is from Italy. But I am Mohawk since Mohawk liniage is traced thru the mother and that is the side I am Mohawk from

  • @snakebite216 What I was saying was don't let the government continue with the quantum blood percentage. If you have Mohawk in your bloodline then consider yourself Mohawk.

  • that is very well said snakebite...

  • @snakebite216

I am so very sorry for what happened to your people, to all the Natives. You are a beautiful people! I hope you never forget or lose your culture in any way.

    Greetings from South Africa Brother

  • @snakebite216 You say "injustices against us" and your only 1/16 Native American? Puh-lese, your white.....

  • never forget...it's been a part of our history and is just as valid as any other race's story. we will never forget

  • I knew that at the time dancers would many times perform this dance until they fainted and that it was because the Native Americans practiced the dance so much that the the US forces were afraid of the dance as if it was a war dance.

  • maybe so but that is like shooting a group of Christians because they are speaking in tongues and filled with spirit. Our US Forces also sent small pox laden blankets to tribes with the intent of genocide. There is no easy way around what our greed and religious intolerance justified. They killed 329 old men, women and children who were unarmed for Dancing.

    RG

  • Such a tragedy...I am not proud to be american after what our civilized ancestors did to the First Nations.

  • it can be a tough realization to swallow, the attempted extermination of a people. But what we do know to promote the good that Indian people are doing, at the same time standing up against discrimination, intolerance and teaching the history to our children.....well, you get the idea. Thanks again for watching.

    RG

  • Great piece; meditative. Thank you for the abbreviated history. It was very moving.

  • love the music .... its really sad that indians was hunted and kill like savage animals.. i hate what they did to them.. they only wanted freedom and peace to have their on land ... shame on those they kill inocents indians for no reason.. shame on them..

  • Thank you for such beautiful music. I'm not Indian but think of myself as Celtic and drums and flutes are part of our past as well. Deeply moving.

  • Thank you for posting this.

  • Beautifully told and sadly poignant. I wish our histories were not full of such devastating stories.

How do we fix things? Good question, but maybe we can search for truth, and light and that God that created us to have a life full of joy, happiness, and peace - if not in this world, then in the world to come.

  • I just found out from my grandma the other day that im a great descendant of Wovoka. Hes buried across the road from my great grandfathers house

  • I see. You being direspectful joeydmk? Is this a joke to you?

  • i know nothing about the native americans. all i know is they were ousted and murdered by European settlers now known as Americans.

Can i ask is their many Native Americans left living their way of life?

    I love this music.

  • no they are all civilised as people call it because of the schools the whites made for the natives they would beat them if they even spoke their language so alot of the traditions were lost. we do still make art work, cloths, and we do use drums and sing and dance at powows but know we arnt living off the land and that sort of thing. we know a bit of our language from the elders but most arnt fluent in it.

  • First of all, while you performed many Native American songs on YouTube, I did not suspect you were Native American. Had I known, I might have taken more caution to how I phrased things. I meant no disrespect, honestly.

So, from whence your angered comment comes is now understood. It wasn't just an off-the-cuff "you don't like my music". It was based on racial perspective. Again, my apologies.

Now, how goes the search for a title for the Hang piece, eh? :-)

  • No harm done. Yes I'm native but I don't play it up. A fellow suggested 'here now' for the hang song needs a name. I asked a german friend who translated it as Jezte Hier, which I liked. I way behind on recording....ugh. two albums to finish by years end...-RG

  • This song starts out a little discordant, to my ear, but quickly get very interesting, as a double flute segment starts, where the two flutes harmonize wonderfully, along with the tribal drum beat.

Overall, a great song. Keep up the good work!

If you get your hands on a MillTone Tongue drum, give it a play, because I'm thinking of getting one, and want to see a really good hang drummer bring out the best in it!

As for other "tongues", I prefer the sound of the Turtlepan, over the Hapi.

  • you seem to think a lot of your own opinion. where can we view and critique your videos?

    thanks

  • If you read my review of your Hang performance, for the song you need a title to, you might see I had no "criticisms", of which you seem so adverse to.

You seem to have noticed the first part of my comment, yet totally avoided noticing the rest.

As for opinions, we're all human (much as I could wish I wasn't sometimes) and we all have them. Things like "I prefer" and "to my ear" specifically note opinion, not fact. And the fact I replied, rather than ignore your video, says something, too.

  • thanks for the reply Luposian. We native have been hearing the words discordant, unmelodic, inharmonious for far too long and as you are welcome to your comments on my videos--well so am I. Think about it for just a moment how culturally specific your comments might be. By saying something is not melodic, etc. to our western ears disregards millennia of musical traditions. I appreciate your thoughtful comments, seriously, however, respect is a river with two shores. -RG

  • i got native blood in me, not much but i still count it if no one else does. remember your ancestry no matter how much of anything u got in u its still a part of you. may the fallen never be forgotten

  • wonderful music ^_^ it awesome to learn about your own heritage and I'm proud to be every bit of part of my Native American heritage.

  • the Ghost Dance was not about war. it was about the foretelling of future events....

the return of all the ancestors and the buffalo and the sacred lands which had been taken. all these to be returned by the Great Spirit.

do not doubt the Great Spirit, he will return what He has created.

  • i refuse to believe any misinformed hype on the native people if you knew there language and traditions they never speak of war or conflict they would oppose these things

  • thank you babygme. I'm not sure which misinformed hype you are referring to but your comments are welcome. I am of native ancestry and do know the traditions.

  • this is a great video and music !!! i have always been into the Native americans, and I really wish there is something I can do to help them back where they belong : their land !

  • So far this is my favorite ghost dance video. One of my fav n8v vids.

  • thank you for that Nanikaya.

  • thank you for uploading such a gr8 vid...hope more to come.

  • great song guauuuu¡''¡

  • Sometimes the part of me that is white makes me sick. Wado for the wonderful song and pictures.

  • don't hate any part of yourself being part white is a part of your identity. If you can't fully accept yourself you cannot fully accept others or god. People are who they were meant to be it is all part of a learning experience. All people are good and bad it is our job to work on what needs to be corrected. Peace to you!

  • The ghost dance was a great movement among the native american tribes. Kicking bear and his brother I believe taught the ghost dance to many of the sioux. Sadly the ghost dance lead to many of the sioux being masacared at wounded knee.

However the ghost dance song , as many can tell you is a very powerfull one. For me it raises the energy around me.

  • It's nto because thier white... I blame it on the roman/christian/barbarian influence on ero culture.

  • throughout history there has been war, even against people's own people. Indians against Indians, Africans against Africans, Red coats against the Blue coats, when Columbus invaded the Americas it was his time of war, before that all Nations had their terrorists. It is really very sad. Even today the bigges terrorist of all is domestic violence and drug and alcohol abuse, self-destruction. We must all learn to accept and love ourselves and others, thanks
